Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (Not including Galaxy Map)
=============================================================

AUTHOR: Sith Holocron, Dark Hope, and Xarwarz

ORIGINAL RELEASE: 06 APR 2016

UPDATED RELEASE 01: 19 JAN 2019

UPDATED RELEASE 02: 09 APR 2022

GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2

Description:
------------

When Xarwarz was working on a sample of a monitor texture for the Ebon Hawk, I had suggested to him that it could use a bit of animation to liven it up. Towards that end, I asked Quanon
if he could render out a frame frames of a wire-frame model of the Ebon Hawk. I added in some sine wave activity and threw in some Aurebesh for good measure. One of the monitors was now animated.

The other frames have more subtle animations in them - you can see the computer inputs going up and down and various colors changing around.

Though I've placed this in the Knights of the Old Republic 2 section, this mod is compatible with both games.

Installation:
-------------

For Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 - Extract the "LEH_scre01.tga" and the "LEH_scre01.txi" files into the SWKotOR2/Override folder.

For Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 - Extract the "LEH_scre01`.tga" and the "LEH_scre01.txi" files into the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic/Override folder.

Uninstall:
===============

Take them out again. ;)

Xarwarz: For putting together the original texture!

@Quanon: For providing the wire-frame models of the Ebon Hawk!

@Dark Hope: For her original cockpit texture, for releasing her version to Deadly Stream, allowing me to adjust it as I see fit, and to include it in this package.

@ebmar: For adjusting Dark Hope's new texture by adding a little depth to it and adding the overlay over the monitors shown in the “With Glass Overlays” folder.

Here's what it looks like in game.

Thanks to @Mellowtron11 for providing the game save so I could get this video done relatively quickly!

BTW: Looking for something a little more subtle?  Check this mod for an alternate look.

What's New in Version 1.2   See changelog

Released

1.1: I added a texture from the KOTOR2 More Subtle Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (still not including Galaxy Map) that Dark Hope gave permission to be used.  I altered her texture and Ebmar added a glass-like overlay to it.  I figured it should be in both packages. I also edited the description accordingly.

Here's the texture I'm talking about by the way.

1.2: : It appears some of the files were missing from the mod package - which has now been rectified. In addition: For a new version of the LEH_scre01.tga texture, I have added my own glass overlay to all of the monitors. This new texture can be found in the "With Glass Overlays" folder.

The original version is still available in the "Without Glass Overlays" folder.  (Sorry for the lack of screenshots for this update.)

Example picture of the LEH_scre01.tga texture with the Glass Overlay kindly provided by @ConansHair

Inconsistency with what? : :confused::

Perhaps you could test it out - to review it - and then let us know what you had in mind?

Thanks but . . . My mod does nothing with the hyperspace animation. That's not my mod's influence.

ah i see i'll check which one did that then ... thanks ...

Wow what a difference! I'd love see other parts of the ship (other monitors) animated in a similar way, but it's probably a lot of work or maybe not?

 You guys did a great job on this, though! Outstanding IMO!

Sith Holocron,

Thank you for this mod.

I was wondering if this will work with the Animated Galaxy Map. Cause I've been have a horrible time trying to get it to work with each other.

I'f it works with it, would you mind messaging or reply here on the forum,  a way I could relieve my self of this problem.

Thanks,

Small Chicken

You're having a problem with my "Animated Galaxy Map" mod? If so, could you post the problem with that mod on that mod's download page?

@Cytaris: Please post a few "before and after" pictures of this taking place on places outside of the EH cockpit (i.e. showing the monitors both with the mod and then with the textures removed from your Override folder).

I tired to take it out but it is unaffected. Ebon hawk works perfectly like your mod should. I have Peragus computer mods too so that could be the cause. I'm at a loss, I cannot get them back to how they should be. Here are some poorly taken screenshots. The load menu shows how it should look, the galaxy map on ebon hawk is perfect. Problem with the telos academy keyboards & small monitors & m478 keyboards. It shows up other places too. It could be peragus monitor mods, or ebon hawk or i just don't know. If I knew a mod that reskined the keyboards I'd just put that over it, or if I knew which files to take out I would do that. I have no idea how to fix this. btw they are animated, as in, they move, I just can't capture that in the screenshot. I appreciate the quick reply & you being willing to help me! thanks!

@Cytaris: Now that I'm seeing the after shots, let's run a test.

A - Remove the following files from your Override:

LEH_scre01.tga, LEH_scre01.txi, LEH_scre02.tga, LEH_scre02.txi.

B - Take new screenshots in the same room at the same distance and angles. Those will be our before shots.

Just a note - don't use the menu pictures as the save-game pictures are saved from that last save.  You need to rely on in the room shots not the menu.

Noted, thanks! I did that. There was no change, Idk what files it could be. I'm using most of your monitor mods tho as well. Could it be LEH_scre03 or something? The only thing taking LEH_scre01 & LEH_scre02 (tga & txi) out did was make the ebon hawk not animated anymore, so sorry but I may have the wrong mod in mind that caused the issue. If I knew what files affected that part of the computers I could probably fix it. I'm not near as knowegable about these things as you. I can post more pictures if need be but it looks the same as before expect the ebon hawk is back to being basic.

My mod consists entirely of the four files listed above. Sorry to tell you but this is another mod's doing. However, I am still willing to help you out. PM me your complete list of mods (with links please) and maybe we can figure it out together. I ask you to PM this info rather than post it here so we don't derail the mod's comments further.

Problem solved, It wasn't this mod. This Mod is Perfect! It was a file called PER_CPanel.txi causing the issue. This mod had nothing to do with it. I post this to encourage others to get this mod without fear of problems.

Are the instructions right? Because, there's both 01 and 02 files, and I was wondering if the 02 files are for TSL and the 01 files are for kotor. Am I wrong and do they both use the same files?

Have you read the What's new in 1.1 section. There are two files. They are good in both games.

I did not read it, sorry. Thank you for replying and clearing up my confusion, though.
