About This File

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II
Author: N-DReW25
1.0.0 Release Date: 18.05.2025

Installation:
Please install The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod 1.8.6 FIRST, no exceptions.

It is highly advised to install the KOTOR 2 Community Patch before this mod, this is optional.

This mod is divided into two parts, the HoloPatcher component and the Override Component.

To install Override Component features, simply open their folders and copy their mod files to the Kotor 2 Override folder.

To install HoloPatcher Component features, simply click on the HoloPatcher.exe, pick your desired restoration, click install, and sit back and watch the installer do its magic.

WARNING: It is highly recommended that you do not install the game on your system's C drive, especially in Program Files. Windows can have permissions issues when trying to install the mod to a C drive destination. If you are using the Steam version of the game and have installed Steam in its default Program Files location, we advise creating a new Steam Library on a different drive and moving the game there via the game's Properties pop-up in Steam.

Do note that this mod is highly decentralized, whilst this gives you the ability to pick and choose what you'd like it also means you'll have to install each feature individually if you want them all.

Description:
The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM) is the mod that saved Kotor II after its disastrous December 2004 release that saw the game practically unfinished and riddled with annoying bugs. This mod is THE number one go-to mod for Kotor II, it's so popular that Aspyr "tried" to bring the mod to Nintendo Switch via a DLC and when that DLC was cancelled there was an uproar amongst Star Wars fans for having done this.

Despite the claim that TSLRCM fixed the bugs and restored the cut content, that factually isn't true. There are many bugs that TSLRCM missed and there is cut content still being found in the game files to this very day, though just because these bugs and cut content exist doesn't mean they could/should be fixed/restored.

Things like M4-78 and the GenoHaradan go beyond the scope of TSLRCM's goals and as such were restored as standalone mods rather than being part of TSLRCM, cut content like Lt. Yima's quest has hardly anything left to restore except for a typo riddled dialogue for Yima and journal entries, and bugs like the Mandalorians on the Ravager having Dark Jedi soundsets are so obscure and easily missable that it hardly justifies a TSLRCM update.

As is stands, TSLRCM 1.8.6 is seen by many as being 'completed' - that it succeeded in doing what it set out to do.

Enter stage the Kotor II Restored Content Plus mod, I mod I've thrown together to restore even MORE cut content to Kotor II (more bug fixes can be found in N-DReW's Bug Fix Collection for TSL).

Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have any bugs but if there are please report them to me on Deadlystream.

The "Street Dancer Restoration" is supposed to have music play when you are within their vicinity, though as of right now the music is silent in-game.

Incompatibilities:

So your other small mods that you have uploaded prior are still separate, but that will no longer be the case for future mods, correct?

Yes, those mods will remain but can be added into this mod if requested/if I feel like it. I won't upload any "minor" or "insignificant" mods separate I'll instead add them to this mod.

So it's just the bounty hunter mod for now, but the next versions will add more mods?

Yes, in future versions, there will be options to install each mod on their own and an option which will install all of the mods at once.

Nice, more restored content!!!

Is it compatible with Party Swap? I ask because Party Swap descrption says its incompatible with any mod (aside from TSLRM) that alters Kreia's dialogue and since one of the latest additions N-Drew's Mini Mod Collection adds seems to be just that...

Either way really looking forward to future versions as I check out compatibilities to start the biggest possible restoration content combo. :)

It is most likely referring to Kreia's "main" dialogue, when you talk to Kreia directly when she is in your party (to get your prestige class for example) that is the "main" dialogue. So far, this mod only edits Kreia's 104 dialogue which is only present in module 104per.mod which means that PartySwap right now is compatible.

Interesting...

Would you recommend to install your mod before of after PartSwap?

Also do you know whether this mod is compatible (or planned to be) with Extended Enclave, Genoharadan Legacy or/and M4-78? And if so what install order would you consider best with them?

Thanks in advance!!! :)

At the moment, this mod affects a single scene on Peragus and a single scene on Onderon with potentially more scenes/content to be restored in the future. Considering PS, EE, GL and M4-78 don't touch Peragus that'll be clean, EE, GL and M4-78 don't touch Onderon so that'll be clean and considering niether Disciple or Handmaiden have a role in the Bounty Hunter ambush I'm willing to bet that'll be compatible as well.

In short, everything is safe to use with the Mod Collection.

This seems very cool! I had no idea there was a female bounty hunter along side the first group of bounty hunters on Onderon.
Awesome find+fix!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Two bug fixes have been removed from the Mini Mod Collection and have been added to the brand new Bug Fix Collection Mod for TSL (This was just uploaded, so it may not be approved for public download yet)

What this mod does is similar to the Mini Mod Collection, except whilst the Mini Mod Collection is a modular restored content type of mod... the Bug Fix Collection is PURELY bug fixes and has a one time installer which installs all of the bug fixes at once (It has two installations due to compatibility issues concerning the files, but these files work correctly in-game if installed separately)

Announcement: the TSL Armor Fix addition of the Mini Mod Collection will be partially removed in the next update due to it being moved to the Bug Fix Collection mod. However, some Armor additions (like replacing TSL texture variants with K1 texture variants, like the Light Battle Armor etc) shall remain in THIS mod.

The next update will also be better organized allowing for much easier installation!

The TSLPatcher install all option has some problems. It's missing some of the files from the individual modules so they are not installed. Also the module install folders are misslabeled (there are 2 instruction labeled [install_folder6].

Fixed!

For everyone else who downloads the mod, feel free to avoid installing the "Female Bounty Hunter Restoration" mod as there appears to be some issues with it at the moment (Currently unsure if its an incompatibility issue or not).

I think there is a minor typo in Map Open > changes.ini - it installs lbl_map204TEL.tga two times and ignores lbl_map208TEL.tga

Yes, it's heuristic flagging of the Python exe that gets extracted into a temp directory to run the code under the hood:

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/1028c8f33ba05e3ba416b823883f970f53f3157052ab9a466031355152da4717?nocache=1

Detects the image load of "Python Core" by a non-Python process. This might be indicative of a Python script bundled with Py2Exe

It's a problem with all versions of HoloPatcher and no-name AV packages. It won't be solved until/unless HP migrates away from Python.

@N-DReW25 @DarthParametric Thank you for the prompt help! It's still flagged but I'll try an override.

This is the only HoloPatcher my AV is flagging atm but I'm willing to trust.

Also, N-Drew, it looks like the only component in the HK-47 Override portion is what appears to be a back-up file? Am I misunderstanding?

Are there any restorations from your previous mods that this mod does not cover?

Or ones from other mods that are not included by this mod (and hopefully compatible)?

Just wanting to know before a Ultimate fixes and restoration run.

What do you mean "back-up file"?

There probably aren't other mods that I've made that include features from this mod. There are some restorations that won't be included in this mod, that includes restorations belonging to the Jedi Enclave as those are part of the Extended Enclave Tweaks mod. The Beta Peragus Miners mod contains many options to customize the Peragus Miners, you can convert all of the Peragus Miners to use their Beta uniforms for that "what if Obsidian used this design" roleplay or you can go down the minimalist route and give only two Peragus Miners the Beta uniforms so you can use these uniforms with other Peragus Miner mods.

For any future restorations that can be considered "Beta" features, these will be part of their own mod called "K2 Pre-Release Pack" which will be similar to its K1 counterpart as seen here.
