I still have to get the details of shipping my car worked out.  I'll take all of the good luck I can for that to happen correctly!

Working on adding filters to my Gmail so I can have it self sort new messages into specialized folders while I'm away from the computer for the long period. (That will also automatically send message of requests to approve new files into my Trash as I'm sure plenty of new ones will be created while I'm away.)

I've heard Alaska can be just beautiful at certain times of the year, depending on where you are. Where my dad was at one summer was more just slush and snow, I think.

What This Means For You: I'm checking in occasionally on my cell phone on an island that historically has always had bad cell phone service. I don't have my all of my links on my smartphone and can't really do easy copy and pastes on it either. (Oh I'm certain that there's a way to do the copy and pasting on my phone, mind you - but with everything else going on IRL here, it's extremely low on my priority list.)

STATUS UPDATE AS OF 31 AUG 2016

Today, my household goods arrived.  All 110 boxes of them. (Yes, you read that correctly.)

Going through all of those boxes is going to take some time, as you might imagine. I've found my monitor and the tower so far but not the rest of the cords yet. The rest will turn up later, I'm sure

But all is not well in Casa de Sith Holocron!  My computer desk is trashed. It is beyond repair and so I'll need to get a new one. This irritates me quite a bit. You see: when I do a move, I usually set up my computer first then unpack everything else.  This is throwing me off my schedule plus there's the little matter of everything costing more here in Kodiak because of the outrageous shipping fees.  Wish me luck in getting this all sorted out!
