Ok, I've been watching these threads for a while, and I've been a bit confused about a few things, so I have to ask:

1. How close would you say version 1.0 is to being finished?

2. Is the Sand People Messiah option being restored?

3. What's the plan regarding fighting the Krayt Dragon?

4. How many versions of this mod are you currently planning to make?

1. Can't tell you that. :) (Not saying that to be a jerk, just my answer to anyone who asks)

2. No, I believe due to lack of content with HK's lines...

3. Need to animate it if possible.

4. Unknown, though I don't see it going past 1.1 or 1.2...

Long time, no see. As of today I've managed to do several playthroughs of KOTOR with my GOG copy + K1R slapped on and I've got to say... it's great! There were a few issues but most of those have been noted in one way or another and I really enjoyed most if not all of the content that was seamlessly integrated into the game.

 

I've also been very happy with K1R's progress and the team so far too but I must ask this question again -- will the following bugs be fixed:

 

- the Bastila romance glitch ("if you talk to Bastila about what happened between her and the player after they kissed, it breaks the romance and she'll not pledge to be Revan's lover on top of the Rakatan Temple"), D/L link to version 2.0 of a mod that fixes this glitch: http://www.gamefront.com/files/9593789

- the known bugs and exploits listed on this FAQ: http://www.gamefaqs.com/xbox/556553-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic/faqs/24705

- the "Exploitable Glitches" and "Problematic Glitches" listed on this site (I have no idea how accurate these are though): http://swkotorwiki.wikia.com/wiki/KOTOR:Glitches

I only noticed one vanilla bug addressed in the 1.0 changelog and I sort of panicked. I'm sure there are even more vanilla bugs that are in your sights or that you know of but I just wanted to be sure that the above is still known to you and that you hopefully plan on fixing them whatever way you can. It's possible I've even missed something, despite having followed this mod close to its creation.

 

Thanks again. Much like TSLRCM: you guys have been awesome in how you've handled this project and communication between fellow Kotor players on this forum.

 

 

P.S. I only hope I haven't been annoying to any of the K1R guys with my somewhat random presence and comments on this forum ;) I just had to ask this question again lol.

Yeah, we were planning on just restoring as much content as possible with the 0.9 and 1.0 releases, and then fixing a lot of the vanilla bugs and typos in the 1.1 and possibly the 1.2 version.

 

As it is, I'll be working on fixing up a lot of things when I can get time between some other projects I've got going on (some of which will hopefully see the light of day soon!).

That's all I wanted to hear :)

I saw that someone had actually posted that Kotor Bugfix mod before me (just after I made the previous comment) but I hope it helps regardless. I just want this mod to be good and I could honestly understand if you forgot to fix some bugs or if you left it towards the end of things to do.

 

Anyway, good luck to you and the rest of the team and I hope to see some more progress soon. Bye!

K1R 1.1 has officially been released!

Hello, congrats guys (long time lurker) :D

So..it's the bug still there?

The bug is still present in vanilla (and I don't know if it's fixed in K1R), but there are several mods to fix it AFAIK.

I use the Bastila Romance Enhancement, but there should be others as well. Or if you don't want to install another mod, here's a quick and dirty solution to fix it yourself: http://www.lucasforums.com/showpost.php?p=2038694&postcount=22 (the very last sentence, if you don't want to mod game files).

Probably part of the romance dialogue. But I think it was used in a mod already at some point because I remember this in the game.

Sorry for not responding sooner. My computer is currently down while I wait for my tech friend so we can hopefully figure out why the second new motherboard refuses to work (is it the motherboard, the CPU, or the RAM? It turns on...).

 

I looked into this before I put my computer down to swap the new hardware, though. Going by the content and the name of the sound file for the dialog.tlk entry, I have to assume this is related to the private conversation you have with Bastila on the Ebon Hawk. However, audio was never recorded for this line (or at least the file doesn't exist), so I am thinking the line never made it to production or into the game itself...

Apparently, HK-47 and T3 having their feat progression swapped with each other is definitely a bug according to this mod author.

More specifically referring to this line in the mod description...

 

Please note, this is definitely a fix, I know the original way round wasn't intended because
in the files, the droids were using each other's feat tables, which was the cause
of the Expert droid incorrectly gaining the number of feats the Combat droid was
supposed to have, and vice versa.

 

If this fix could be implemented in 1.2, it would be very much appreciated.

From what I can see, the only leg he has to stand on in justifying that statement is that the order of the classes is switched around in the column order, but...
