Domino5555 119 Posted April 18, 2017 It looks like EA learned their lessons from the last one.

revan21 22 Posted April 18, 2017 Looks like they do the same thing Pandamic did for the originals and make Battlefront 2 the one that is worth playing.
jc2 581 Posted April 18, 2017 I'm just looking forward to the Empire's perspective of the Galactic Civil War, following the emperor's death. Hopefully. they will not connect it to whatever that abomination is called with the stupid looking stormtroopers....
DarthRevan101 104 Posted April 18, 2017 I'm guessing that the story mode would be a continuation of the original Battlefront II's campaign? IIRC the campaign for Battlefront II finishes at Episode V so the new one would take place from Episode VI and beyond?

Instead, Battlefront 2 will focus on an elite stormtrooper squad called Inferno Squad and their time after the Battle of Endor. To me the year between Endor and Jakku sounds very interesting because the Emperor's planned that if he dies, the Empire should go down with him. What would be hilarious is if, for whatever reason, DICE crashes and burns before Battlefront 3 is released. Even better: leaked footage of the game it could have been. BONUS: Rinse & repeat.
Guibaesa 15 Posted April 19, 2017 It will be difficult for us all but we must contain our expectations. Remember how awesome the trailer of the first game was? The way they Showed the gameplay? Game of the year we scream as we were expecting a game that was as groundbreaking as it was deep as an ocean, only to be crushed with disappointment as we saw in front of us a game that was as outrageous as it was shallow as a puddle. We must wait and see if this game shall redeem that sad excuse for a game. And also they still have to confirm that it will have "Galactic Conquest" game mode (Only then they will have my attention). There's a difference this time though; Thrust of the story is seeing things from the Empires POV. Who are their heroes etc MP across all eras, Prequel, OT and new movies. Class system returns. (Assault, Officer, Heavy, and Specialist) Still 20v20 matches. Classes, Vehicles and Heroes are upgradable. Progression system for everything. Heroes no longer tied to token pick ups, instead you earn a resource and can choose where and when to spend it. Space Battles are back with ship heroes. (Millennium Falcon, Lukes X-Wing, Slave 1, Jedi Fighter etc) Splitscreen co-op. Vehicles like the droid spider tank and republic walkers confirmed, though nothing about whether they're still using tokens. Instant action with bots is in. Hoth, Endor, Mos Eisley, Naboo, Kamino, Starkiller Base, Jakku, Takodana, Yavin IV, Vardos, Scarif & more. Certain modes feature heroes from all eras against each other. (Maybe hero assault from the original BF2?) No plans for season pass/maps blocked by paywall. November 2017 release. Still, caution is wise- but there's no need to be negative just yet. I recommend hoping for the best but keeping your expectations grounded.

I also hate to go off topic but sidious didn't want the empire destroyed, merely re built... Which is why he sent the eclipse into unknown space with (whom I believe) thrawn at the helm. It was mentioned in the last aftermath book if you read carefully Bf2 sounds too good to be true right now... I am not pre ordering it like the first

Guest Posted April 19, 2017 Dark disciple by Christie Golden was fantastic so I'm eagerly anticipating that book, it'll sit alongside Lost Stars, Thrawn, Dark Disciple and the Darth Bane Trilogy on my shelf.

I recommend hoping for the best but keeping your expectations grounded. True, still we must stay vigillant for even the slightest cuts they would (in my opinion) make in this new game. I just can't bring myself to imagine that this game will have the classical capture the command post or capture the flag mods from the original BF2, neither that this new space battles would allow you to use the turrets from your cruiser to destroy enemy ships or that they would have that awesome cargo vessel that would allow you and your team to invade the enemy ship to sabotage their systems (shield generator, engines, live support system and auto-turret defenses), and if you die, you could respawn inside the enemy ship (If your cargo vessel is still intact inside her of course). Also, they didn't say that they would bring back the "Total War" mode that was present in maps such as Hoth and Geonosis, neither the "Hunt" mode that were in maps such as the ones that I mentioned before and also in Tatooine, Endor and Felutia. There are other things here an there, and I could made a hole manifesto about it, but Tarkin said that a statement would suffice XD So...Let's just wait and see what the future holds for us all. Until then MTFBYW, always

Mutilator57 140 Posted June 11, 2017 Looks pretty nice, but since I didn't bother to purchase the first one, I don't know how much they've changed/improved.Q. Is it really any different from its predecessot?
Domino5555 119 Posted June 11, 2017 For one thing, it has a campaign mode. Additionally, there is more space combat, and there is Clone Wars and Sequel Trilogy content.

Is it really any different from its predecessot? To be honest, this looks far more different than it looks similar to it's predecessor. The first game was fun, but hardly resembled the original battlefront games (IMO). This game looks much more similar to Battlefront II 2005. Honestly, it looks really similar in gameplay to the original Battlefront 3 build that was cancelled years ago. I'm also getting some Battlefield 1 vibes from this.

Domino5555 119 Posted June 11, 2017 Dude, I want to troll people with Jar Jar! Yes, that's a reference to the Angry Joe's review of Battlefront. Don't judge me!
Haveayap 127 Posted June 11, 2017 That trailer looks intense. I really like how they have more than one skin for the clones (I saw phase one, two and 501st skins in the trailer). Those clone war battles look great. Finally EA listened as that game looked amazing. So much better than the first. I hope they have plenty of hero's aswell and maybe even a mos eisley hero assault. Looks like my boycott of ea could be coming to an end
