  1. That would make a lot more sense. There's a feature in Blender that basically does that. What I found to be the most odd thing, is that these little guys.... ....are mapped to literally the whole texture. I'm not at my comp, but the UV basically looks like this: I mean, I get that 1 side of the pyramid is all light, but c'mooooooon.
  2. Seriously, yes. The ones for the star map were just so bizarre and disproportionate. I mean, there were places where the texture would be stretched for sure---an obscene amount. Some parts of the .tga disproportionately sized as well, because I guess it was easier to edit the image versus the UV map?!
  3. Dude, you are not joking. I'm learning that more and more. I know that are parts I want to accent, but I also don't want a map that has 30 different islands. And then making sure the seams work well against each other? It's madness.
  4. Working on some new UVs. I thought I was making things easier for myself, but in fact was making them more difficult. I've been trying out different unwraps to see what might work best and make the work much more efficient.

  11. For sure, understandable. Here's what I'm working with. This first clip, starmap1.mov, is the default texture/animations, nothing's been touched. First try was using MDLOps 1.0.0. I used the following settings to process the model: I then imported into Blender with the following settings: I didn't change anything with the model and then exported with the following settings: The clip you see in starmap2.mov is the end result. starmap3.mov is repeating the above steps with MDLEdit 1.0.3. In the second video, you can see how plc_starmap_08.tpc and plc_starmap_09.tpc have loaded prematurely. Then in the process of the starmap opening, the particle effects have changed on the rising orb, sphere02 it looks to be called. After that none of the remaining textures (outside of plc_starmap_06.tpc) have loaded and the arms (Map_Arm_01, Map_Arm_02, Map_Arm_03) have duplicated, with one set remaining "unopened". In the third, processed using MDLEdit, the animations are working, though none of the interior textures are loading. Let know if I can provide any more info.   12. Just a heads up, I repeated the process using MDLedit 1.0.3. No issues with modeling or maps or anything like that. Only issue I'm seeing is same as above, particle effects have changed and animations are off or not loading.
  13. That did the trick! I was able to import/export and recompile. And then to confirm, you can just parent that node in Blender to avoid doing it manually later. Only one issue at this point (sorry): some of the particle/animations are either activating early or have different effects.
  14. Should I make that change before importing to Blemder? Or after?
  15. Hey folks, just me being a pain in the ass again. I quickly installed the latest version in excitement and have unfortunately run into the same with MDLOps locking up when compiling the model. Attached is my direct decompile of the original model using MDLOps 1.0.0, then the export from Blender (made no edits to be sure). Again, I'm not trying to be a pain.   18. At first I thought I had posted a photo of my ass, but I see you were talking about the card layout.
  19. Here's another update of the basic layout I'm looking it. It's going to be a lot more .gui work than I had planned, but anything for my adoring fans.
  20. It's been awhile, I know. Here's an idea I threw together for a new scoring system: Colors aren't set, that's just for an example. Middle semi-circle illuminates to whomever's turn it is; bars underneath illuminate per round won.
  21. In theory, since these are SIth trainees, shouldn't they have the training sabers? Or because they're Sith they don't use "safe" methods of training.
