Four status updates from you on the front page. Why not give the subreddit a shot and give the updates section a 24 HR pass?

      Reddit? Nah, I’m good.

  4. "It is done, at last... it is done." Hey everyone! Wow, what a month or so it has been. Re-casting Zekk went better than expected and the film, as of today, is officially done and ready to go. The film will be going public THIS FRIDAY. For any of my voice actors; look out for a little surprise coming sooner than that... I cannot express enough how much this means to me, this began as a "what if?" project back in November 2014 and since then the channel has grown to over 1000 subscribers and lots of people excited for the final chapter. I honestly can't convey enough my gratitude for all the support I've received over the past four years and I'm so excited to release this film. It's the biggest and best yet, I've tried to go out with a bang and hit you all in the feels at the same time. Fourteen months worth of work is about to pay off, and I really hope you all like it as much as I do. No film is perfect, but I'd being lying if I said I wasn't proud to round off adapting one of my all-time favourite games with this film. Alright, that's enough boasting for now. If you haven't seen it yet, the theatrical trailer is now out (link below). I really tried to make it as ambitious as possible and give it a modern spin. Looking forward to hearing what you all think on the finished film. @UnusualCharacters, I know I've thanked you a million times but I want to thank you again so, so much for coming on board not only for extra HK lines, but for breathing new life into Zekk and giving him a completely new take. You're the best! I'll post back on Friday when the film is out. For now, enjoy the trailer! ~ DV P.S: Would anyone be interested in a Q&A style video with the cast and crew after the film is released? I posted about this earlier on my status update, reckon it would be a lot of fun. Let me know!
  5. After TPK is released, would anyone be interested in a Q&A type video with the cast? Could edit it together so it's like a visual podcast almost. Reckon it's time to get @Sith Holocron on the mic! ;)

Wouldn't you guys rather hear from the main cast?  I only have a very minor role!

Dude, you’ve been with the project since the beginning, giving constant feedback, advice, etc., and sending me various SFX! Would be great for you to be a part of it!

Time willing, I will be . . . but try to get as much of your main cast as possible!

  7. Hmm, mixed feelings upon finishing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Which is a shame, because I really enjoyed the other two entries (the first in particular).

  8. My most ambitious trailer to date! The theatrical trailer for TPK is here:

I also have no idea how you got those spaceships to appear as clean as you did. The fleets in the trailer look fantastic!

Needs more Trandoshans. And cow bell.

      Just kidding. It's very good.

Thanks everyone! The spaceships are from an Old Republic mod for Empire at War... would go into more details on what they are exactly, but... spoilers ;)

Thank you very much for  the chance to voice characters in your Machinima, DarthVarkor!

  10. Just watched over a finished cut of TPK, have a couple of small pesky details to fix up but I’m so proud of this film. Thank you to everyone for sticking with me throughout this project, and thank you so much again @UnusualCharacters for delivering a knock out performance as Zekk.

  11. Currently crediting every mod used in my film. Anyone know who the author of this mod is? The Nexus site has it listed as VanerShan45 but I want to make sure that isn't just the name of the user who uploaded it.

The "Canon Revan Face V2" pretty much the same to Darth Vhail's "Revan's Head". 🤔

While I don't have any idea with the other one. It looks "unique" though, haven't seen anything similar to that before.

  12. Introducing the new Zekk Vorrn!:

I smell a strong scent of "Unusual Characters" here.

Other than that, I hope even with the Zekk Vorrn crisis the film will still be as epic and entertaining as the other movies.

Thanks for the kind words, I hope you like it!

  13. MAJOR (positive) update on The Prodigal Knight coming very soon...

  14. God damn, Cyberpunk 2077 looks incredible....

Lol I thought they were started the development from about 2009-2010 because the first time I saw the trailer was about 2013- and I have been waiting for the updates ever since. This game.

Yeah they kind of shot themselves in the foot with that CG announcement trailer. They were in very early pre-production during TW3's development, but then in the last 6-12 months of that game's development they went into heavy crunch and everyone got pulled off Cyberpunk pre-production to help get TW3 shipped. I can't remember the specifics, but I gather it was after that where they scrapped what they had and started again, around mid-2015.

      DarthVarkor

That's what I heard too, yeah. I was hoping all the cutscenes would be fully cinematic but it looks like we're going to get a mixture of first person and third for them, similar to Deus Ex: Human Revolution & Mankind Divided. I hope we get a lot more dialogue options in the game than shown in the demo. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if CDPR deliberately watered it down for the demo, they like to be secretive.

Hopefully it'll be worth the wait (and hype).

  16. While my experience isn't exactly the same as it's a machinima as apposed to a modding project, I can attest strongly to what SH has said: Voice actors should come as late in a project as possible.
  17. Sorry to bump, but, any further progress with this project?
  18. Excited to announce that non other than the man of a thousand voices himself @UnusualCharacters will now be playing Zekk Vorrn in the The Prodigal Knight!

  19. AUDITIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO AUDITIONED. Hey everyone, Well, this is a post I had hoped I'd never have to make, but here we are. I regret to say that the final film in my series: "The Prodigal Knight" is on an INDEFINITE hiatus. This is due to my main voice actor for Zekk becoming AWOL and failing to meet various deadlines and (recently) no longer responding to my emails at all. Because of this, I have finally decided to part ways with this voice actor. I want to say now, that I hold no ill will against this person, this is not a character assassination or a rant against him, but I can no longer continue to delay this film because of him. I have an understanding of his situation and I wish him all the best, but I don't feel it's fair on myself to be kept waiting any longer whilst wondering if I will ever receive the final sets of lines to complete the film. What does this mean for the project? Well, first of all: IT IS NOT DEAD. This project WILL eventually be done, I promise. This setback, however, means I must now re-cast Zekk for this final film and find a new actor to re-record ALL of his lines for this film, not just the remaining few. I won't be happy with releasing a film where the lead changes voice halfway through. They don't do it in the movie industry, and I don't see why I should either. This will take time, yes, but I have all the lines written and ready to go, to be sent in one large batch to whoever eventually takes the part. Auditions for the part are now OPEN. If you are interested, please contact me directly on here. Or, if you have a recommendation for a voice actor, please send it my way. Please note I am NOT able to offer any voice actors any form of payment other than my undying gratitude and an early download link to the film before it goes public. I will not being looking into paid voice acting sites, either. If you want to audition for the role, you must fit the following criteria: - Have access to HIGH QUALITY/professional level recording equipment. I am not *too* picky, but background noise and/or gaming headset mics are a no go. - Have a link to at least one existing showreel you are willing to share with me, so I can hear your work before considering you. - Be punctual when replying to emails and meeting deadlines. - Able to act using a deep and confident tone. For further reference, please consult my previous films to see how Zekk sounded. Please remember: This is a BIG part, with a lot of lines. Please don't audition for this role if you are not up to the commitment. Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me as I make it through this film. It will see the light of day, I promise. And I hope you will all agree when I say it will be worth the wait. ~ DV
  20. Oh, that sucks. Afraid I can't be of any more help there, was worth a try anyway. Unless "download directory" just means where you originally downloaded the installer to? Probably not but worth a shot I guess.
  21. Oh, right. I'm with you now. Just ran a search through my downloads and I do have the CSLU toolkit, which is odd because I don't ever remember installing it. Must have been a long time ago. If what the others say about it no longer being available/installer not working is true, then it probably won't work. But I'll attach the installer anyway if you want to chance your luck. cslu206.exe
  22. Uh, yeah... I knew that! ignore that then (Haven't had my morning coffee yet!) As far as I know, you use that .tcl to create the phn files. After you have your line saved as a mono wav file and a text file (containing a transcript of the audio file) with it both named the same, you drop their name into a .txt file named "list.txt" (say: "line01.wav, line01.txt) and run the makephn.tcl file using CMD, that then creates the phn files you can then import into LipSyncEditor to create the .lip files. If I'm on the right path here let me know and I'll start on the tutorial. Apologies if I got this wrong and got anyone's hopes up in the process, just thought this would help.
  23. The .phn file is in that RAR folder. Navigate to: Extras - Importing - makephn.tcl
