  1. I can't get FRAPS to show or record in TSL (Steam) on Win10. Managed to fix the issue for K1 by running the game straight from its .exe using Win7 compatibility mode but no luck with TSL. Anyone know why?

So, Shadow Play actually works quite nicely, same quality as FRAPS as far as I can tell, and file size appears to be a bit smaller. Hopefully FRAPS will still actually get back to me (I brought the software from them, didn't torrent it.) But regardless, Shadow Play does the trick. Thanks for your suggestions guys!

As long as you bump up the resolution on Shadowplay to the top quality for recording you will usually end up with better quality that Fraps. are you running the steam version and at what resolution?

Yeah Steam version at 1920x1080. I have ShadowPlay's settings to match it and I can't tell any difference so far.

  2. I really hope this isn't true. Jeremy Soule's music IS The Elder Scrolls imo.

Why would Bethesda not want to have his music? He's scored the last 3 elder scrolls games. Granted, the game is still a long ways out, but why wouldn't they bring him back? Is Bethesda trying to make people angry now?

I know, I can’t understand it either. Like KOTOR’s soundtrack, Jeremy Soule’s scores for TES III-V are so beautiful and mesmerising. Even listening to them now brings back a lot of nostalgia, and that says something about his work itself!

The nostaliga factor is a BIG reason on why not having Soule come back would be a mistake.

  3. I don't believe I used any Mass Effect lines for that scene specifically. You might be thinking of his speech in TPK using the lines you spliced for me. As far as I remember, all of Carth's conversation about Revan with Zekk in Legacy of the Sith was made up of lines from the cutscene meeting Carth in TSL, and some of his lines from K1.
  4. Yeah, that was part of my issue with Carth's fate for DS male, too. Bit anti-climactic for one of the main characters. The lines I spliced should be easy enough to replicate. I'm happy to help with that if needed!
  5. I'm definitely with you on that point. It always bugged me how if you went DS in K1 and were male, Carth simply died, yet doing DS female he shows back up on the Star Forge. Carth's a resourceful guy, a war hero, I refuse to believe he'd just retire to Lehon to do his own Cast Away spin off. This is why I had him in my TSL films despite my Revan being a DS male. I can't see any issue with having him still pop up in Cede's place and the Exile still having a meeting with him, but some of his lines would have to be altered to imply Revan's allegiance. This is how I did it in my film, a combination of line splicing and Zekk's responses. It could be very feasible doing the same in the game (but obviously replacing Zekk's responses with the player dialogue choices).
  6. This mod loks great, Thor110! I know you plan on adding your own story content to this mod, but do you also plan on releasing it prior to that as a modder's resource? Among others, I'd find it very useful in my machnima films, personally.
  7. Well, according to Wookieepedia, Sion was a Sith lord. I mainly say Sith Lord as the class for it because it seems like a very complex and advanced power. Marauders mostly focus on lightsaber combat over a higher proficiency with the Force itself. Again from Wookieepedia: "The class corresponds to the Light Side class Jedi Weapon Master, as both do not focus so much on philosophy and Force powers as they do on battle." To me, that'd be like assigning it to a Jedi Guardian over a Jedi Consular. But maybe I'm just being too pedantic
  8. Afraid I can't really help much with the technical side of things, but for what it's worth I'll chuck my two cents in on the creative bit. I like the idea of it being the highest option available in the Heal tree, but, I think it might be better to have it limited to the Sith Lord prestige class only. As far as I know, it's not exactly a common feat to perform such an ability, and Sion is the Sith "Lord of Pain". It could also only be available once you obtain a certain level of Dark Side points? Such an advanced power seems it would require a lot of dedication. It could even further corrupt the player, adding more DS points with each use? Sion doesn't exactly look 'refreshed' when he uses it, if that makes sense. Those are just my thoughts, not sure how easy some of them would be to implement, though. EDIT: A unique name for the power would also be neat. "Sith Resurgence", (off the top of my head), that kinda thing.
  9. The epilogue for The Prodigal Knight is now available!

Well, the rest 3 minutes and 41 seconds is kind of depressing though. I take my like back! Hahah.

I never got round to finishing it but I believe the project file is still somewhere on my hard drive... will look into it.

  10. Oh, interesting. If it's simply unused, how do I get it to show up on a character? I'm assuming it has something to do with appearances.2da, but I wouldn't know where to go from there.
  11. Hey everyone, would it be possible to port the default soldier clothing (the blue clothes with the backpack) into TSL? Bearing that's possible, and assuming I can get @Dark Hope's permission, how feasible would it be to port this reskin of the clothing into the TSL, too?
  12. Hey everyone! As 2018 draws to a close (damn, time flies), I thought I'd share an update on the project. Unfortunately, there won't be a trailer anytime this year -or, what's left of it- like I was hoping. It simply isn't in a state to be shown off yet, nor is enough done to warrant a trailer of any kind. But, with that said, the film is coming along really, really well. The story arc for all three films has been in place for about a year now, and thanks to some people, particularly @Sith Holocron, I now have a complete visual look for the film nailed, as well as a soundtrack. It's shaping up to be quite the challenge, adapting K1 in a manner that stays faithful to the game whilst still feeling connected to my TSL quadrilogy is no easy feat, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying it. Outside of that, I am a lot more busy now than I ever was during production of my TSL films. Between a very exhausting Master's degree and a job, I don't have a lot of time free. I'm even starting to (hopefully) branch into freelance video editing as a career, but more on that next year. For now, rest assured, the film is coming, and you can expect the title and your first look at it early next year. I have no release date in mind, but, a late spring/early summer 2019 would be ideal. We'll see. That's all for now, work is slowing down for the year now as we enter the holiday period, think I need a bit of a break from it all, too! I went into pre-production only two weeks after TPK released, so a week or so off to spend time with family (and of course, more uni work) is needed. I plan to start releasing snippets of the soundtrack in January, so you can look forward to that before getting a real look at the film. Attached to this post are a few sneak-peek screen shots of the film... Hope you all have a great Christmas, everyone, and a happy new year! I love being on this site and a part of this community. ~ DV EDIT: Apologies if some of the screenshots appear a bit dark...that's Premire's doing, not how they will look in the finished film. Colour grading will be the last thing I do!
  13. Oh dear, Bethesda. Oh dear. Any minimal interest I ever had in this game is now completely gone. Shame, I absolutely love Fallout as a franchise.

True, that scenario with the bags was ridiculous, I can't believe they thought they could get away with it. But I agree. Think I'll definitely be giving this one a pass.

And this is why I never pre-order games. Wait a month or two and let the bugs get ironed out. Of course, this release has a lot more to deal with than just bugs.

  14. Ah my bad. It works perfectly, thanks for your help!

Too late to offer input?   If not, I might have some texture suggestions . . .

By the way: If anyone else doesn't think these attached textures should be used, let @DarthVarkorknow.  Steer him away from any of my bad ideas, if you wish.

Whether it's useful or not it is largely up to personal preference.  Good luck with your exams.

  16. UPDATE: Removed the .tpc files for k1_pmhc04, fixed the portrait names and re-installed the reskin files with "K1" attached to their names, all as you described. Still crashes :/
  17. I'll give your suggestion a go and report back!
  18. Will do. Sorry to keep hijacking this thread, but I've encountered another issue. While the mod runs fine on my disc version, when re-naming a reskin for one of the K1 heads to work as mentioned, the character creation screen also crashes once I reach that head. The reskin I'm using is this one (the "without scars version). I renamed all the files to have "K1_" before them but it always crashes. I've attached the mod files I've renamed in-case I've no doubt done something wrong. Reskin files .rar
  19. For some bizarre reason, I can't find the crouch anim in my animations.2da at all, which is odd because I've used it countless times. My old scripts point to it being there, but I can't find it. Here's the example I found for the anim: "AssignCommand(oVisas, ActionPlayAnimation(11415, 1.0, 60.0)));" Aside from that, these few come to mind, I hope these are listed right: Number: 23 - Description: Kneel_To_Meditate Number: 466 - Description: Nod Yes Number: 467 - Description: Nod No Number: 468 - Description: Raise_Arm_Point_Lower_Arm Number: 472 - Description: Shrug
  20. Definitely not TSLRCM from workshop. But to be honest I could have any number of other mods installed from the workshop (my fault over the years) I think a clean install will be easier than the hassle of slogging through them all.
  21. For some reason, this causes my Steam version of TSL to crash on the character creation screen. I tested it using the disc copy and it works fine, which is weird as both pretty much have the same mods installed on them. Particularly any TSL head reskins I have. A clean install of my Steam version will probably fix this I imagine. Either way, great work!
  22. You might have to break that down for me a bit more stupid-friendly. I got lost after the making a list of the animations I need
  23. Well, ideally I'd like as many of K2's animations available to fire on any party member whenever. But as you said, the numbers are limited. For now I mainly need the "crouch to inspect" one I showed above (machinima reasons), but other ones such as "Nod Yes" "Nod No" and "Roll Eyes" would be ideal.
  24. So it's much easier to simply rename the animations? Alright, do I go about that?
