  1. Solution: Don't export with RLE compression Edit: Remove Alpha Channels
  2. Man, I was trying to give this a shot (with Darth Sapiens' twilek skins) but whenever I modified it, the bump mapping went away. I exported it as greyscale but no cigar.
  3. Got an upload!!! Fixed some bugs, switched out the vanilla sabers with models from the mod. Should be a good time. Still have to go through and tweak all the saber textures. Then I get to think about where I could possibly place all of these sabers in-game.
  4. So weirdly enough, I fixed the installer to a point where it isn't crashing! Turns out it didn't particularly like to be installed over other mods that add more baseitems... ...long story short, that problem is fixed and I'm thinking I could probably take some screen shots and do some sort of official release. Thoughts?
  5. What madness is this? I'm actually modding!?

      Crazy, ain't it? :)

Welcome back to the modder race.

  6. Leveraging version control software to build up my TSLRCM install. Gonna be siiiiiick

Wow, my previous installation was 7.81 GBs...

  7. Hmmm... they're probably alright to use.
  8. I can't really offer specific steps, because that is a long list, however I can offer some guidelines. TSLRCM first, then M4-78 if you're into that. Then, I would install the mods which are specifically texture-based only (reskins, texture enhancement, etc). Then any model replacements (without TSLPatcher install) Any TSLPatcher installs are sort of hard to gauge in terms of compatibility, so I would do those last, and I would be wary of any large scale "enhancement" mods because those tend to create the most bug-ridden installations.
  9. You still have the source for all of the TSLRCM loot scripts though, right? I could easily set up a repository for the source scripts. Would be super easy.
  10. If the trailer is any indication, we're going away from the "Star Wars" for kids tone. (I hope so anyways)
  11. Oh man, I just realized if this is really about Luke Skywalker's hand, they really missed an opportunity to call this "Star Wars Episode VII: Hand of the Force"
  12. Pretty much any of Xarwarz' retextures are prime candidates for perma-override. Any higher-res models that are *just* model replacements (no installation required other than drag and drop) are must-have's as well.
  13. I am offended! Haha, jk. I think it may have to do with the ascii model. I exported my armored robes and those seemed to retain specular mapping (on the armor part at least, since that was the part of the model that originally used the specular mapping)
  14. So, it is possible to get envmaps to work on those models. (I've done it before). Can't remember what I did, but I think it's best to cover as many bases as possible. Txi, appearance.2da, there's a property in the .mdl you need to make sure is set.... etc
  15. As someone who has been teetering back and forth on the issue, my faith is increased. It'll probably only take a bit of questionable news and I'll be worried again.
  16. That's got to be one of my favorite parts of the trailer.
  17. In case you haven't seen it yet: My faith has been restored somewhat, although I'm not very fond of that lightsaber... Thoughts?
