  1. Sadly, this made about a 2-3 FPS difference at best. I might still post a video but I was having a weird issues recording, I might try again sometime tommorow. That being said it seemed to sorta, shift the focalpoint of the lag slightly towards where the wardroids are a room back. So either this didnt quite remove enough "stuff" from this area, or I was dead wrong. Although I did load up an empty of droids module and it didn't have any issues in that area, nor did the original M4 if I recall. I just don't have the technical knowledge to get any further in this investigation at this stage other than "it's something in that area, and it likely relates to lighting/shadows"

    On making mistakes.

I might try to post a few of these every once and a while. I know I want to write out my thoughts on M4-78EP, SWOTOR and a few other things, but today I need to talk about The error of my ways... As always I feel the need to include some jazzy/swing style music. So . For something more fun that could never be in a video: Everyone at one point or another makes a mistake. Be they big or small; private or public; seen or unseen; mistakes are often very embarrassing. I made a mistake on my most popular videos. This video my Skyrim Mod Showcase on was very popular, as was the mod, and because of this many more people watch my other videos and awesome stuff like that. The mistake comes in how I pronounced certain words in the video. It was a word I knew and a word I had said right hundreds of times before, but in this particular video I was reading my notes and in them I had simply written down the "prodigy talents", only I spelled the word "progidy" in my haste to get the video out early. That lapse in attention, and the human minds ability to "autocorrect" small mistakes (the writers out there will surely understand this one) meant that in my video that 85,000 have seen I said "Prog eh dee" and not . This little error, that I knew much better than still haunts me to this day (in the form of a Youtube comment correcting me). What's the point of all this? Two things really. 1) Don't let mistakes get you down too much. Yeah it's embarrassing, and you often cannot go back and fix them, but if you learn from them they are not a total loss. That and on the grand scale of things unless you embarrassed yourself for 85000 people in a video that will be on Youtube as long as I am... Then you can at least know you are not me. 2) DON'T GET DEFENSIVE. It is okay to be wrong. It sucks, I hate being wrong. But sometimes you are wrong and make mistakes. Own it, laugh about it an move on. Far too much internet drama is started by things far more mundane that my inability to speak my own native language. This seemed like something not worthy of a video but worth saying, so I hope you all
  3. I can probably do this when i'm off work later today. Ill run it once with and once without and splice it together in a quick video.
  4. I'll leave any discussion of this to the experts. Assuming anyone thinks its even worth looking at.
  5. I have a more powerful computer than you, and I made the video being discussed. Run the game while tracking frames and you will see a performance drop. Especially if you are playing at a higher resolutions ( and considering you are using a 770 i cant see you playing at a very low res). The lag itself seems to emanate from the engine not handling it, regardless of hardware, with higher resolutions pushing harder. The game in general scales poorly with high end hardware. The area shown will perform significantly worse than anywhere else in the game that I have seen. As far as solutions I personally like SH's idea #2 or something like that. It is probably a bunch more work but it would add just a little bit more character to the mod. Edit. unless this too had an annoying shadow as I have not tested it Of course we need some experts to confirm this would actually help. I only had the emptier version of this from Stoney's mod to compare to and only did that after this video was published.
  6. Sometimes it fails to inject. In this case you can simply reload the plugin and it should work. If not then try setting the ini file back to 800x600 saving and then setting it to 1920x1080 again. I have no idea why this happens.
  7. Thank you both for your kind words. I truly appreciate it.
  8. I've started playing SWTOR again recently. Although I havent quite formed a full option yet (ill post about that eventually). The ability to just play your classes main story for the summer is a big plus IMO. That being said it still feels very WoW-esq.
  9. As requested- a video on the Jedi Knight series-

Much simpler process than KotOR/TSL to say the least!

I've been modding JK2, JK3, Kotor and TSL for around 5 years. Let me tell you, modding the JK games is a million times easier than the Kotor games. That wasn't a hyperbole.

  10. My guide is very detailed and has some walkthrough videos if you are still uncomfortable modding. That being said installing TSLRCM is easy. If you need any help just shoot me a PM, i would be happy to help. My guide- http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/3142-guide-xuuls-ultimate-guide-for-kotor-2/

  12. Looks good so far. I always like mods that fit well into the game.
  13. Official started playing SWTOR again. Will make a video and possible a post about it sometime soon.

  14. Interesting Idea. What would you suggest this video entail.

Being one of those new modders, I'd say it's true. But that's just me.

  16. I agree with this. But I also see why the rule is needed to prevent spam/bumping. There are many cases where an edit/ new thread makes so little sense compared to a second post
  17. FALL. OUT. 4. HYPE.

Also, Chris Avellone is the best.

  18. Set this to Fullscreen=1 What version of K2 are you using? Steam?
  19. Have you done the Hex editing to set the movies to 2560x1080? Also, I have added the video to the Widescreen section in case anyone is intrested
  20. UniWS will not work with the Steam.exe and any resolution with a vertical pixel count of lower than 768 (1366x768 will not work). The cutscenes have letterboxing normally as they are rendered in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio by default.
  21. Kotor2 flawless Widescreen tutorial video

No matter how many times I proofread things that always seems to happen. This is progidy all over again :(

  22. Initially. But then you can maximise the game after and play it fullscreen
  23. I review a game. It has nothing to do with Kotor but still -https://youtu.be/xRWG3KENFHc

  24. It will essentially be exactly the same but has more compatibility than the old version. The video version of the tutorial should be up on Friday or Monday. The new Flawless Widescreen method works with 1330 x 768 and 1280 x 720 resolutions. It works by default with the steam .exe and also supports larger resolutions such as surround setups.
  25. For the 4 disk Kotor 2 try this: If you have a blank USB copy all of the files for Kotor onto the USB and install from the thumb drive. For some people this can solve a multitude of errors while installing. I am not sure if it will fix your error in specific, but since it uses a different drive it might.
