Cyberpunk and this launching early 2020? Oh my!

Hi everyone! Keeping with tradition, here is another better late than never blog post. These past couple of months have been crazy for me, very hectic. From uni to moving house, I haven't had a lot of time to work on the film. But, in the past two weeks or so things have began to quieten down for about a month so I've been able to make strong headway on the film, successfully casting another voice actor and nearing a full picture-lock. Taris and Tatooine are completely done (minus colour grading on Taris, and sound mix & grading on Tatooine) and Dantooine is coming along nicely. I'm super proud of this film, you've never seen KOTOR 1 quite like it. Anyway, I figured it was about time I posted another trailer. So, here it is: I had a lot of fun making this one based off of one of the many fantastic trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy. Please note: all the comedic moments in the film have been heightened through the edit of the trailer. The film is by no means a comedy like Guardians, I just felt inspired by the trailer and the film does have a fairly light-hearted feel, so I thought I'd roll with it to see if I could top my Logan-inspired trailer for TPK. That's about it for now, one final trailer will be coming soon(ish!) along with the release date of the film. I will be premiering the full film LIVE on YouTube so it'd be great to hang out with some of you guys there in the livestream. I'll try to post back sooner than I did last time! ~ DV

And another skybox is done (well, actually two). As I said before it's the Unknown World: That screenshot is actually a little older though. I've since tweaked the colors a little to reduce that horrible sun glare. Apart from that the skybox is almost exactly the same as in V1. The only difference is the moon texture which I replaced with a texture from here so that it's no longer our moon you see in this alien sky. And as always, there's also two renders and unlike my other renders, I moved the camera quite a bit for these to get a more interesting foreground. But since those islands are usually only seen in the very far distance they're of course not that great looking. Better than no foreground though But as I said in the beginning, there's another skybox and that's the sunset version of the Unknown World used in the revelation and DS ending cutscenes. That one uses the same terrain of course but I remade the sky from scratch to get closer to its vanilla look. For comparison here's the very unnatural looking V1 of that skybox. The new one is just waaaay better: It's still a little cheated and not entirely realistic but it helps setting the tone of those two scenes. I even had a version with a sky that was much more red just like the vanilla sky but that was just too unrealistic for my taste. Anyway, here's the corresponding render: Those two were close to the last vanilla skyboxes for K1. The only one left now is Kashyyyk and some tweaks to Tatooine and Manaan. And afterwards there are of course still the mod skyboxes to do. TSL is also coming along very nicely with only two vanilla planets remaining, namely Nar Shaddaa and Dxun. I started working on some building models for Nar Shaddaa and I have to say that this is probably the least fun thing I've done for these skyboxes yet... 😅 But we'll see how it goes. I'll keep you updated.

well, for the time being: TOCs by Darth333, Canderis, T7nowhere and tk102 from Holowan Labs/Lucasforums (via waybackmachine): General Tools & Tutorials: Modelling, Skinning/Texturing: Modding Tools (T3-M4's Astromech Droid Center) There's also a TOC in T3-M4's Astromech Droid Center listing all tools: https://web.archive.org/web/20150906172255/http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=152392 Most links will be dead anyway, but it gives a nice overview/ a place to start hunting them down. .2da Tutorials Scripting Tutorials That's at least better than navigating Lucasforums' archive by hand (esp. on mobile).

Cloaked Jedi Robes belong to JCarter whilst this mod belongs to Jc2... two completely different people. And no, these robes in this mod use the vanilla K1 model... unless Jc2 ever decides to do a "cloaked patch" of sorts.

So not exactly what I was originally intending, but I have been cleaning up the Light Side ending for inclusion in K1CP. Here's where it is at (note that the skybox is one of @Kexikus 's mods, the robes @JCarter426's and are not part of the changes): And for anyone needing a reminder, this is the vanilla cutscene:
