Starship Combat Pay v1.0.1 Overview Starship Combat Pay give players a tangible reward, beyond avoiding a game over screen, for surviving the Ebon Hawk Gunnery Station mini-game. After escaping the Sith Blockade and landing on Dantooine, you’ll get a message from the Republic. It reads: "Republic Combat Pay Thank you for registering your Dynamic-class freighter, designation: the Ebon Hawk, as a civilian paramilitary vessel. Until further notice, as an enlisted soldier of the Galactic Republic Navy, you are hereby entitled to a financial reward of 200 Republic credits for the successful elimination of each Sith Imperial starfighter you encounter aboard your registered personal starship. You'll find a payment of 1200 Republic credits has already been deposited directly into your account. Further payments will be deposited immediately after each conflict. May the Force be with you." …And that’s exactly what the mod does. It pays you a total of 1200 credits every time you’re forced to play the Ebon Hawk Gunner Station mini game. Notes Unfortunately, this mod doesn’t change the mini-game itself in any meaningful way. It does however make playing it more rewarding. When deciding on the number of credits players should receive, we looked at different amounts of pay that scale with level and we arrived at a flat 1200 credits for a number of reasons. A scaling number of credits requires an in-setting explanation for why the main character’s pay increases, which logically goes to rank. Applying any sort of rank to the main character adds a level of non-canon material that I’m not comfortable adding in my mods. In terms of the game’s existing financial rewards go 1200 credits is pushing it. However, in terms of the setting, a 1200 credit bonus is a paltry sum for destroying a 300,000 credits worth of starfighters. So, since most players tend to only travel between planets after fully completing them, the number of randomly generated starfighter encounters is relatively low. In any case, once you get full access to the Ebon Hawk, you’re free to win heaps of credits by swoop racing or savescum an infinite number of credits by gambling with Suvam Tan. So, exploiting the turret minigame isn’t going to unbalance anything. Credits Script Writer: Thor110 Contributor: Zoctavous Mod Author: Timbo Special Thanks I want to thank Thor110 who had the script almost entirely worked out within minutes of pitching the idea and for patiently sticking with it over the next couple weeks to fine tune it. Seriously, this part was about 90% of the work. I also want to thank Zoctavous who has very quickly become my go-to scripting confidante. Whenever there’s something I don’t understand or need help fixing. He’s usually the first person I hit up. Without him helping me get past the very first problem with this mod, this release simply wouldn’t have happened. Finally, I want to give a special thanks to Discord user sharkynebula from the KOTOR server who casually suggested that the Republic should have to pay you for playing the minigame. This is the idea set this whole thing off. -

1 pointHello there! This is very interesting idea, and I feel like it fits well within the game's setting. It always struck me as a bit odd how in KotOR the Republic is this distant entity that you don't really interact with much until the very end (and Manaan, I suppose). My question is, does this mod require a fresh playthrough to work?

This mod modernizes all K1 cutscenes by upscaling, slight compositing, and remaking text elements. This in 3440x1440, 3840x2160, 2560x1440 and 1920x1080 resolutions at the original framerate and interpolated to a 60fps version. Disclaimer This mod only includes enhanced cutscenes. Adjusting your game to the preferred resolution is necessary. There's multiple guides on how to do this online. (like this one.) Information - Cutscenes have been upscaled using a combination of AI models in Topaz Video AI 4-5, then re-composited and exported back to bink files at a high bitrrate. - Remade the subtitles for videos 02-09-31a-50-56b - Remade legal screen - Remade title crawl in video 01a - Fixed issues in certain videos (color grading, broken fades,..) Installation - Download preferred resolution and frame rate versions. - Extract the downloaded folders into the "movies" folder in your game installation directory. Remember to make a backup of the original folder first if you want to restore them at some point. - Overwrite with any preferred alt versions. Alts All the resolution versions have the same alternative options. - "legal" an alternative legalscreen option. - "nosubs" removes subtitles from videos 02-09-31a-50-56b - "whitesubs" adds white instead of blue subtitles to videos 02-09-31a-50-56b Let me know if you run into any issues or have any thoughts. This is by no means perfect since the upscaling process still introduces a lot of artifacts but I'm hoping to revisit and improve this project whenever there's a significant update in available upscaling video tech. -

1 pointAfter looking around on the forums, I realized that editing the GUI of KotOR (and possibly TSL) is quite painful and most people use K-GFF (very great tool, but not visual). I then found xoreos-tools (part of xoreos - a very cool open source project). So this weekend, I started up making my own version of a tool which should help a lot with the process of laying out things nicely. The project is not fully complete, but it is ready for some beta testing! A few features so far - Visual display of all images (I think) + bounding boxes - Supports drag + drop / resize - Nested view for only what you care about (cleaner than K-GFF) - Cross-platform - works on linux / windows / mac (with caveats) - Light / Dark Mode for all of you who look at too many bright things (like I do) Getting Started Guide: https://github.com/amcolash/kotor-gui-editor/blob/master/README.md Release Page: https://github.com/amcolash/kotor-gui-editor/releases Source Code: https://github.com/amcolash/kotor-gui-editor Changelog 0.0.4 (9/17/2020): First Public Release

Arren Kae is a character mentioned in the game, her likeness is alluded to in reference to the Handmaiden who is said to "bear the face of her mother." This mod adds a new appearance to the game using the model and textures I made for her, it doesn't do anything else, it just lets you play with her while I see if there's more interesting stuff I can do with her in future mods. You may give this appearance to the main character, or any member of your party, by means of a SaveGame Editor such as KSE. Here is a video of what she looks like: Further info: This model is the result of changes I made to Kreia's two-handed model. The original model and all its variants come with a hood animation that unveils Kreia's face, exposing a problem with the geometry that becomes most evident when making a sad facial expression. The changes I made to the model also fix this problem. The hood on this model is raised at all times, hood animations are not available. In case you wondered, I didn't make any dark-side textures for this model. Installation ================== TSLPatcher (by Stoffe) will know what to do. Just run the executable and follow the instructions. This mod adds one row to appearance.2da The following files are put in the override folder by the installer: p_arrena.tga p_arrena.txi p_arrenbb.mdl p_arrenbb.mdx p_arrenh.tga p_arrenh.txi Compatibility ================== Should be fully compatible with TSLRCM and all sorts of other mods. Known Issues ================== None. Permission ================== Nicely give credit if you'd like to use my stuff for a work of your own. 0 pointsPer the rules, only Silveredge can create a new version of this mod. However, I previously created a standalone installer that uses TSLPatcher to set up the appearance entries. You can grab it here. After installing it, you will need to grab the the textures from Silveredge's mod and paste them into the Override folder.
