The KOTOR Revisited Collection: The Unknown World is a critical moment in the KOTOR story and a nice place to explore. With this textures pack I wanted to highlight the contrast between the absolute beauty of this world and the tragic fate of the Rakata survivors, now living among the wrecks of stranded ships. WARNING: if you are a hardcore vanilla supporter, this mod won't be for you (and there are already a lot of vanilla upscaled textures mods available). Not that this mod is not lore-friendly compared to the SW universe (to me at least it is) but it changes most of the vanilla textures by original and home made ones. Click here for a Vanilla VS Revisited comparison My main inspiration when creating these textures was the SWTOR game and The Clone Wars serie. This mod DOES replace textures for: - Architecture /Wrecks - Grounds - Rocks - Vegetation - Rakata NPCs and Rancors. This mod DOES NOT replace textures for: - The Republic ship interiors - Skybox (using the great High Quality Skybox II is strongly recommended) - The Ebon Hawk - Textures are TGA 2048x2048 pixels (based on my experience there's no need to go highter in resolution in this game. 4K textures on old graphics games is just a waste of ressource to me). The total size is 1.2gb on your HDD once installed. - These textures add maximum details with minimum tilling effect. On a low poly game with no normal/bump maps, tilling REALLY IS your enemy. - I used a soft cell shading style because in my opinion photorealistic textures on low poly meshes just look weird and not that great (but again this is my taste). - Hi quality Reflection effects added to metallic objects like walls, wrecks,... - On a vanilla unmodded game (if such thing still exist): Extract the file and drop the Override folder in your game install folder. That's it. - On an already modded game: there's a high probability that you already have the same files than this mod in your Override folder. These files can be TGA or TPC (or both). So follow these steps: 1/ Extract the file and drop the Override folder in your game install folder. Overwrite existing files when asked. 2/ Download and use the Removes duplicate TGA/TPC tool (easy to use but make sure to read the description). When asked delete the TPC duplicates. By doing this, you make sure there is no conflict with existing modded TPC files in your Override folder so my textures will appear as expected in your game. NOTE: This pack does not cover 100% of the Unknown World textures so it is recommended to install it over a vanilla overhaul textures pack to get a complete HD experience. Just make sure you are installing a Vanilla overhaul BEFORE installing my pack. - Could you make a TPC version? I've tried to convert the mod in TPC but this format breaks many reflection effects when a texture uses an Alpha channel. As I'm not used to work with this format I don't know how I could fix it and to be honest I don't really care. If a simple solution exists then why not providing a TPC version. - I don't like this or that, could you change it? It is a very personal project from a pre-Disney SW fans so like any old school SW supporter I'm very stubborn and closed-mind. It will be unlikely that I take your idea in consideration, but you may try. - Do you plan "revisiting" others places from KOTOR? I've already done a few planets (see the collection above this page) and more may come in the future. - Kexikus and his High Quality Skybox II mod which I used on my pics. - ShiningRedHD and his Ultimate Unknown World High Resolution mod which I used as a template to help me finding correct files/textures in the game. It was also my "vanilla" benchmark used to calibrate my own textures colors and luminosity. - Many other modders for all the files I'm using on my game and can not list here. -

The KOTOR Revisited Collection: Korriban is one of my favorite places from KOTOR, both in terms of visual and storytelling. With this textures pack, I aimed to give to this place a fresh look while respecting and highlighting its eventful past and its dusty, hostile atmosphere. The KOTOR Revisited Collection: I was always a bit disappointed by the yellowish look of Anchorhead in the original KOTOR game. I don't know if there's a lore explanation or something but to me it did just not look good. So this mod started as a personal project to bring at first some small changes to this place, mainly changing the overall color to something more in line with my "tastes" concerning the Tatooine feeling. I've been making textures for games for 15 years now so it had to be a "quick fix" I thought... Here we are a few days later and this "recolor" project has become a full textures overhaul! I'm very pleased with the result so maybe some people here could enjoy it as well. Click here for a Vanilla VS Revisited comparison My main inspirations was of course the movies/series and also the SWTOR game. This mod DOES replace textures for: - Architecture - Grounds - Vehicles - Animals - Rocks/Vegetation. This mod DOES NOT replace textures for: - Skybox (using the great High Quality Skybox II is strongly recommended). - NPCs - Ebon Hawk cockpit view. - Textures are TGA 2048x2048 pixels (based on my experience there's no need to go highter in resolution in this game. 4K textures on old graphics games is just a waste of ressource to me). By doing this, you make sure there is no conflict with existing modded TPC files in your Override folder so my textures will appear as expected in your game. NOTE: My mod uses ONE TPC file (PLC_spdrwin01.tpc) which gives tranparency to speeders windshield so be sure it is also correctly installed. - Could you make a TPC version? I've tried to convert the mod in TPC but this format breaks many reflection effects when a texture uses an Alpha channel. 1 pointI love how thought out each of your decisions are, the amount of obsolete items you pick up later on in the game is maddening -Leviathan, Unknown World are the worst examples of this. So getting a Mandalorian Pistol early on is massive win!

1 pointIf I'm able too, I shall... though if I don't add a particular piece of Mandalorian content that you like there's a very high chance I might not know it exists. Should Hearts of Beskar release without certain Mandalorian content from Legends that you think would work in the Kotor game engine (aka no jetpacks etc.) feel free to suggest it here or on the future HOB mod page, I'll look into it and get back to you (or anyone else) as to whether or not I can add it. Today, I have a small leak for you all: That's Kandon Ark wearing the Mandalorian Combat Suit item from the Hearts of Beskar mod. Why is he wearing it? Well, 7 years before the start of the game in the year 3963 BBY was a little event called the Taris Siege where Taris was invaded by the Mandalorians during the Mandalorian Wars. The Hidden Beks and the Black Vulkars fought the Mandalorians during this time, you can canonically consider Gadon Thek, Zaedra and Brejik as all being veterans of the Mandalorian Wars as they technically fought the Mandalorians as partisans. The Mandalorian occupation of Taris lasted for 2 to 3 years finally ending with the Liberation of Taris which saw Revan drive out both the Mandalorians and the Exchange (for a time) from the planet, it's during this event where Juhani was freed from slavery. With that established, consider these things: Mandalorians have a warrior culture, Mandalorians develop overpowered weapons to fulfil the obligations of their warrior culture (fighting), Mandalorians forge heavy protective armor to fulfil the obligations of their warrior culture (surviving) and the Mandalorians built what's called War Forges to mass produce said overpowered weapons and heavy protective armor on occupied worlds close to the battlefront with the only two confirmed War Forges being on Jebble and Tarnith... two of Taris' own resource planets. What am I getting at? With Mandalorian Soldiers being killed in combat there's no doubt the Taris Resistance, the Hidden Beks, the Black Vulkars and the Exchange would've taken Mandalorian equipment off their corpses to be used for their own purposes. By the time of Kotor, it's not unreasonable to assume that Mandalorian equipment is flowing through the black market. Now from a gameplay perspective, Taris is the starting planet... I cannot add overpowered modded items on Taris as it would both make enemies extremely difficult to kill and if the player gets these overpowered modded items it can ruin the balance of the game as normal enemies would either do no damage to the player if they're wearing modded armor or will die instantly if the player's using modded weapons. The Mandalorian Combat Suit is one of the few Mandalorian items which works on Taris as it's something one can believe is a black market item and it isn't overpowered. The Mandalorian Combat Suit only has 5 Defense Bonus and 5% immunity to melee damage, this makes it weaker than the Republic Mod Armor and the Echani Fiber Armor. The Mandalorian Combat Suit can also only be obtained by killing Kandon Ark, which is only possible if the player does the light side ending for the Prototype Swoop Engine quest... why is this important? If a player does the dark side ending, it ends with the player killing the entire Hidden Bek gang and gaining all of their items, credits and XP. With Hearts of Beskar, this mod adds a bit of weight to your decision on how you complete the Prototype Swoop Engine quest: If you go Dark Side you get a bunch of XP for killing the enemy Beks and their generic item loot you're bound to gain later (Light Battle Armor, Military Suits, Double Vibrosword etc.) which can be sold for credits... but if you go Light Side you obtain a decent piece of armor from Kandon which isn't overpowered yet might fair useful against future melee NPCs on Taris (Sith Governor, Marl etc.) Since Kandon doesn't drop a Military Suit anymore, that drop has been moved to Brejik who now drops his Military Suit and a Mandalorian Blaster which does 2-7 energy Damage (generic Blaster Pistol does 1-6 energy damage) and +1 Attack Bonus. In the vanilla game, the Mandalorian Blaster is obtained from loot from the Kashyyyk Mandalorians though by then you've already obtained stronger weapons that make the Mandalorian Blasters obsolete by default... by having Mandalorian Blasters drop earlier, like on Brejik, it gives the player a proper opportunity to use this otherwise useless weapon at a point when it was actually useful. I still haven't decided on other NPCs on Taris who'll use black market Mandalorian gear, I'm considering adding the Mandalorian Melee Shield as a drop for select Black Vulkar NPCs though suggestions are welcome as I don't want to make these drops too overpowered. And to conclude this post; I also fixed the bug with Inyri Forge's Female Mandalorian model which turned the male Mandalorians into Female Mandalorians if Female Mandalorians were present in the module, Female Mandalorians now work as intended and won't affect their male counterparts.

-ABOUT- So this is something that's bothered me for years. Basically, the UV mapping around Revan's mask is a smidge wonky. The indentation on the mask's mesh indicates the visor part of the texture was meant to line up in it. But for whatever reason, no one decided to correct it during development. The only times I've seen this fixed were in the fan film "Knights and The Darkness Part II" and the mod "Brotherhood of Shadows." So I decided to just go ahead and make a dedicated reskin just to correct this little nitpick. Hope you chuckleheads get some mileage out of it ๐ -INSTALLATION- Simply copy/paste the texture files into your Override folder located in your "swkotor" directory. -UNINSTALLATION- Simply locate and remove the files. Go ahead. Do it. I dare you. -COMPATIBILITY- This reskin is not compatible with any mod/texture pack that alters: -N_DarthRevan01.tga -N_DarthRevan01.txi -PERMISSIONS- You may use this mod for whatever project you want, so long as you credit me. -CREDITS- Cortisol - Holocron Toolset ndix UR - TPCview -
1 pointI can't help but be amused by the armor, because of what I know about its basis (the armor worn by the K1 Iridonian merc): it's actually the swoop pilot flight suit - the Bink movie of the swoop exploding on Taris shows this, as does anything that lets you look at a swoop mid-ride from such an angle that you can see the rider. Nevertheless, interesting idea for a new encounter.

0 pointsWhile testing mod, (And I'm not sure if it's just for me) Bastila's Lightsaber on the Leviathan would completely disappear after she throws her lightsaber at Malak. I'm not sure is this a problem on my part, or just a general bug, but a fix to this would be gladly appreciated. (11/10 mod overall) Edit: This goes for Bandon's Lightsaber as well when he first appears.

Atton, but Brutal. By Thon, Age 20 Thon69 makes his FileFront debut with a new skin that totally makes Atton look like he went to the dark side. I see in his new look, โDonโt mess with me pal.โ His eyes are now black, he has red and black tattoos written all over his face, and his ears look like he took a paintbrush over them to make them black. --- Installation: Easy like pie. Install to your KOTOR 2 override's directory then shoot her up! Uninstallation: You can't uninstall it, will screw your game up. (But seriously, just remove P_AttnH1.tga, P_AttnH1D1.tga, and P_AttnH1D2.tga from your Override folder.) -
