View File A Crashed Republic Cruiser on a Nameless World *********************************** Knights of the Old Republic *********************************** TITLE: A Crashed Republic Cruiser on a Nameless World (1.1) AUTHOR: LDR FILENAME: ldr_repshipunknownworld FILESIZE: 176 MB -------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -------------------------- There are 2 available methods of installing A Crashed Republic Cruiser on a Nameless World. The standard installation method is done entirely though TSL Patcher, and doesn’t require you to do anything beyond simple button clicking. The manual installation is for those unable, for whatever reason, to use TSL Patcher, and involves the copying and pasting of files from folder to folder. NOTE: With the standard installation method, this mod is far more likely to work alongside any other mods you may currently have installed, which may not be the case should you use the manual installation method. I have attempted naming files in a way where there should be a minimum chance of mod conflicts, but you never know. This mod also has an "Optional" installation meant to use in conjuction with either/both of SithSpecter's High Quality Blasters and Colored Loadscreens mods. To uninstall, remove the files from their respective folders in the SWKotOR directory. ------------------------------ » STANDARD INSTALLATION ------------------------------ 1) Double click TSLPatcher.exe. 2) Click the "Install Mod" button and select your SWKotOR game directory. 3) Sit back, relax, and wait for the installation to complete. ------------------------------ » MANUAL INSTALLATION ------------------------------ 1) Open up the tslpatchdata folder. 2) Copy all files with a .wav extension and paste into the streamwaves folder located in your SWKotOR directory. 3) Copy all files with a .mod extension and paste into the modules folder located in your SWKotOR directory. 4) Copy everything else (With exception to changes.ini and info.rtf) and paste into the override folder located in your SWKotOR directory (If there isn't one, create one). ------------------------------ » OPTIONAL INSTALLATION ------------------------------ 1) Additional install options have been provided for additions to SithSpecter's High Quality Blasters and Colored Loadscreens mods. 2) Double click TSLPatcher.exe. 3) Click the "Install Mod" button and select your SWKotOR game directory. 4) Sit back, relax, and wait for the installation to complete. --------------- Mod Permissions --------------- You may not use any assets of this mod in your own mod without first contacting me. ------------ DESCRIPTION ------------ This mod adds 6 new modules, 9 new items (3 equippable inventory, 4 datapads, 2 keycards) on the Unknown World, making the crashed Hammerhead explorable. You must have a save before setting foot on the Unknown World. -------------------------------------------------- » Version 1.1 Changes -------------------------------------------------- - Fixes a bug where the party was prevented from spawning in during the confrontation on the beach on a DS playthrough following completing the Temple. - Corrects reported spelling/gramatical errors. - Integrates optional install paths through TSLPatcher for additions to SithSpecter's High Quality Blasters and Colored Loadscreens mods. ----- BUGS ----- Any mods that modify the unk_m41aa OnEnter script will be incompatible with this mod. "Frame Buffer Effects" turned off in the swkotor.ini results in audio logs without the blue camera effect. If you find any please post them in the comments or send me a direct message. I will address them as soon as I can. ------------------- » MODULE/ITEM NAMES ------------------- For this to work correctly in conjunction with your own mod, you must not use any within the following list as names for your custom module/item reskins. m41ae m41af 152unk 153unk m41ai m41aj LHC LHW Blaster Pistol template 020 Forearm Band template 019 Gauntlet template 019 ------------- Voice Acting ------------- DarthTyren as Medical Officer Audio Log Mellowtron11 as Engine Officer Audio Log Sith Holocron as Republic Captain Audio Log Zhaboka as Kolgrim ----------- Permissions ----------- Permission granted from Darth InSidious to use his alternative beach Hammerhead textures. Permission granted from DarthParametric to utilize his edited mdls from both his Endar Spire and Harbinger Hull Repair mods. Permission granted from SithSpecter to utilize integration for his High Quality Blasters for Modders resource and colored loadscreen templates mod. This is my first post, so I apologize if it's in the wrong forum. I am interested in creating a mod that improves the Jedi Master class, which will carry on the Feat, Powers, and Saving Throws progressions from the Consular class. I also wanted to create a new free feat chain that improves DC of cast powers, among other potential boosts such as permanently activated Inspire Followers or Crush Opposition powers. The goal isn't to make Jedi Master overpowered, I just want improvements to my favorite class. I am also interested in creating a mod that also adds a second chain to Dueling feats, in the same vein as Superior Two Weapon Fighting, which will improve the stats of my favorite styles of builds. So my question is, can someone point me towards tutorials that can help me with my changes? I have no idea what I'm doing and cannot find any tutorials relevant to my interests here. I would very much like to learn how to make these changes myself.

I don't believe there are any tutorials specifically for class/feat modding, but I can point you in the right direction. If you don't have KotorTool yet, grab that and familiarise yourself with it. The files that are relevant to your interests are classes.2da, classpowergain.2da, cls_st_jmaster.2da, cls_st_jedi_c.2da, feat.2da and featgain.2da. There's a detailed look at 2da files here that should help. For everything regarding boosting force powers you'll want to look a k_inc_force.nss.

View File TSL ORIGINS - Telos Overhaul Unlike its predecessor, the Complete Overhaul for K1, the purpose of this texture mod is to preserve the original look of the game, while using different texturing techniques to give the old game engine a modern look, emulating shine & vector based animations from the Mass Effect series. Im sorry guys that i cant provide screenshots at the moment, my graphics card is malfunctioning. Installation: Download the file, extract its contents with an archive extraction tool such as 7zip or WinRAR, and move the contents to the override folder for your game. Enjoy! Hello again, TK-664. Long story short, my "stuff" (😄) is embedded into other people's modifications. Some authors did not give me permission to publish my modpack and no, I can't just release my own part as single modifications. Oh okay, got it. Your reason for making them undroppable was...? I'm curious... Looking forward to an update then! Cheers!

Is it given to that female Padawan in the enclave? If so, that's the issue. I use the 'UNOFFICIAL TSLRCM (THE SITH LORDS RESTORATION MODIFICATION) TWEAK PACK version 1.2.3' Specifically the options to remove Kaeve from the mod restoring the original interactions found in vanilla K2. I forget everything from many years ago when I attempted a K2 RCM run, it didn't go far, but I remember her and she felt really out of place. Sigh, I guess I'll have to use a save editor to add a saber. As feedback for TSLRCM. Maybe make restoring everything to do with Kaeve optional or something?

Is your main player character male or female?

He'll probably deal with it by not visiting Manaan since this mod is for TSL...

Graphics card probably would count, too.

Also, I like how you have shed light on converting the movies to widescreen. Many people overlook this step.

You may want to reread the thread. I answered before you purchased the digital copy. You replied with hostility for no reason. And then you did as I suggested and purchased the digital copy. "Not helpful, not helpful at all." But don't worry, I won't be replying to you on this or any other topic. Based on your other posts and reactions you're quite difficult.

I think you are imagining things. I find that you need to press the next movement button for at least a second before it will let you cancel the movement. I just ran a quick test with a footlocker, a swoop bike and an NPC and I have no problems cancelling out of the movement. So in short, I have never experienced this issue, but I have certainly noticed that it doesn't always feel like it lets you, but that's probably more down to the timing of everything than it is the game.

Ah, my mistake. I was assuming that the Aspyr patch was the same thing as the 1.0b patch 1. Thank you for confirming beyond all doubt that you're an annoying, time-wasting snob who only skimmed the thread, and ignored not only my stated reasons for wanting to get the CD version to work (see post #4) and what the actual problem I'm having with the CD version was, but also the fact that I had already bought the GOG version AND SAID AS MUCH well before you posted. 2. The Collection release is a 2012 rerelease of KotOR games on DVD, pre-patched to work on modern computers. 3. "You aren't getting any patches for the official CDs from a trustworthy source". I'm going to let Luke Skywalker speak for me here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sRS1dwCotw The official patch not only CONTINUES TO BE OFFICIALLY HOSTED TO THIS DAY (https://support.starwars.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000716323-Where-do-I-find-the-latest-patch-for-Knights-of-the-Old-Republic-II-The-Sith-Lords- being the current link) - with the official hosting link being posted in Sith_Holocron's "Get Kotor 1/2 working on Vista and Windows 7" thread and updated as needed - but also has a backup hosting here on DeadlyStream. "What I was attempting to do was encourage you to use a version that is less likely to have compatibility issues with a modern OS (e.g. Win10) and mods (e.g. TSLRCM)." Well, what you were actually doing was completely ignoring the fact that I had already bought a digital version (the Good Old Games one), my stated reasons for still wanting to get the CD version up and running, AND the actual problem I was having with the CD version. 4. Regarding bugs, by talking about bugs you were completely ignoring the both actual problem I was having and the fact that the digital versions still suffer anyway. 5. Being an ignorant thread-skimming snob-shill isn't helpful.

It wasn't obvious to me because I couldn't think of a reason why anyone would want to play a version that is inferior. So, I just assumed the Aspyr version was released on disc at some point. But you confirmed that never happened, so you want to play the inferior version. Never heard of the Collection release. What is it? As for the Aspyr update, I mentioned it specifically because you wouldn't need to recover files from scratched CDs. The digital copy would also bring you the most bug fixes and compatibility, so it's the superior option in almost every way. I'm not dismissing anything. You aren't getting any patches for the official CDs from a trustworthy source. The only source was through the LucasArts downloader that has long since stopped functioning. Which leaves fan patches and mods. Except, even those are often designed to work with specific versions of the games. What I was attempting to do was encourage you to use a version that is less likely to have compatibility issues with a modern OS (e.g. Win10) and mods (e.g. TSLRCM). Regarding bugs, I was referring to those still in the original game even after the last official patch. I have perfect original CDs of KoTOR and TSL, and yet I purchased digital copies rather than spend time searching down all of the fan-made patches. Why? Because the Aspyr versions have fewer bugs and tweaks for modern hardware. I know, I've tried patches and mods with varying degrees of failure. ("Flawless" Widescreen...) It's your computer, feel free to do whatever makes you happy. Just try not to crap on people when you ask for help, because next time they won't.

This is correct, you can’t upgrade the original release. Aspyr used to offer Steam keys for the new version if you sent them proof that you owned the original, but I imagine five years later the offer’s no longer on the table.

If I'm not mistaken, aspyr patch only include in steam version of the game, retail versions only can be 1.0(4cd) and 1.0b/1.02b(dvd).

1a. Yes, this is the original 4-CD version, something that should have been obvious from reading the thread because no other release of the game has 4 discs. 1b. The PC version was actually released in 2005. Only the Xbox version came out in 2004 (something that proved very unfortunate for the game). 2a. Actually, the update released by Aspyr was presumably baked into the Collection release, hence that running out of the box. 2b. The Aspyr update - which was originally made as a patch for the original release - has nothing to do with installation anyway. Only bugfixes and compatibility for an installed game 3a. Wow, way to dismiss the patches both official and fanmade that take care of a lot of those bugs (a number of which are still present in the digital versions of vanilla TSL anyway, if what I've seen on these boards is anything to go by) 3b. The "feature transfer error" I experienced isn't even actually a bug per se in the first place. As pointed out by the second post in this thread, it's caused by disc scratching. A problem that can affect any game released on optical disc, whether it was released 28 years ago or came out yesterday.

It would be better if you could check that the vanilla version works on your system. You installed many mods and I don't see obvious incompatibilities at first sight (though I have doubts about so many Force Powers mods). There are many topics on the Internet about crashes after character creation. It is important to figure out, whether your crash related to installed mods or not. But, if we assume that your crash is unrelated to mods, you can try the following solutions: 1. Check in Options and in .ini file that Frame Buffer Effects are disabled. 2. Try Windowed mode: Edit swkotor2.ini. Add AllowWindowedMode=1 under [Graphics Options]. Change FullScreen=1 to FullScreen=0.
