NPC Overhaul Mod

*************************

Under NO circumstances is this, or any of my other,

mod(s) to be posted on ANY site other than by myself.

1. Info

===========

This mod attempts to fix the ‘clone effect’ which TSL is notorious for, across multiple locations.

It differentiates the NPCs in an attempt to eliminate several of them looking identical in one location, due to the way it was set up by Obsidian.

It also provides a different clothing for each starting Jedi class, rather than conform to a single texture across all of them.

Several shaders across multiple characters are also restored, such as the Mandalorians, Hutts, droids, etc.

2. Installation:

=========

Run the patcher for each listed location and let it do its magic. I apologize for the need to run it several times, but it’s the only viable way.

Amazing work Kainzorus Prime, truly amazing. It helps the game the variety of NPCs, it feels like a new game.

It helps in the immersion that you need in a RPG game, while the repetition is annoying and distracts you.

Great job!

I have a question; Suppose I do not want to add the "shades" for the character because, Lets say, I gave each of the mandalorian classes camo-coated armor and I have the 2Da Appearance file being used for some other mod

However I would still want to eliminate the "Clone effect" using this mod.  Would I run just about every Installation (504OND,610DAN, and so on) except for 001EBO?

Is your Carth uniform fix compatible with the Admiralty mod? If yes, should yours be installed before or after Admiralty?

I'm not sure, since I've never used that one. However, you should install my mod first, and then Admiralty on top of it, just to be safe.

Great work. One problem which may or may not be associated with your mod (it's either this or TSLRCM so will post under both). One of the mercs in the Exchange corp on Telos isn't spawning properly (his name is Nahata). He spawns invisible and causes my game to crash when he is interacted with.... I've tried reinstalling both mods to no avail. I'm dreading reinstalling the entire damn game for a 3rd time.

I'm using the steam version and it's all up to date (mods included).

Reverting the 208TEL.mod file to the backup created by TSLPatcher fixed it for me, so I believe NPC Overhaul is the culprit.

  • "- Fixed the issue with Battle of Khoonda being stuck after first wave of mercenaries." Was this a bug in the mod or a pre existing one? I had some issues in my last playthrough there when I didnt have the mod installed so that would be a nice bonus, all sounds great tbh. Exited to try this, thanks!

If I recall right, it was a bug with the early version of my mod.

Incredible!
If there were more than 5 stars, even that wouldn't be enough.
Worth the 5 star rating and download, without the slightest doubt. :D

Is there any possibilty of running this in a batch fashion?  Or perhaps presenting the choices in a different way so that changes already installed would be evident?

Uhhh ... noobish question, but my computer doesn't recognise, and therefore can't install, any utc files. Is there a particular program I need to read them?

Installing I seem to have an issue with the Khoonda Movie Terminal package.
"• Error: Destination file "Modules\603DAN_s.rim" does not exist at the specified location! Skipping section"
This was copied directly from the program.
I checked my modules folder and 603DAN_s.rim is indeed present. Any advice? For now I will be the particular package, but help would be appreciated.

Please and thank you.

I am in love with this, I just wish SO MUCH that there was a better way to install. Even if I could copy/paste the path directly instead of all this damn clicking....... o.O

Does this mod not work with steam TSL? Keep getting the same Error: Destination file "Modules\603DAN_s.rim" does not exist at the specified location! Skipping section as others have reported. Help?!

Found a work around for this problem if anyone ever has it. It has to do with the fact that if you subscribe to the steam TSLRCM then the updater won't know where to go.

You have to manually direct it to the workshop. I.E. instead of running each patch on the kotor window, run it here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\208580\485537937 (trust me it works)

From the first drop down. 001EBO.

Is this okay? It isn't going to break you mod (or others). It' say, despite it's warning, that it's modifying the file. I've also got these mods installed thus far.

Is this mod still causing certain NPCs to be invisible or glitched? I'd like to try it, but reports of these bugs make me hesitant.

When will we see an update and do you think it will have a more efficient install method?

I love this mod but I hate that I have to run TSLPatcher dozens of times!
