  1. In the very first reply to this thread (my reply), I give a link and tell you that in that link are links to several programs to help with viruses... You'll need to scroll down a bit. All are free, some are trials or free versions of a paid program.
  2. And I will link you this, in which I talk about having a virus and then link several different programs you can use. http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/3684-a-huge-apology-about-kse/
  3. ...So make a separate version in the installer of your mod to remove the gender checks for these if and only if PartySwap is installed?
  4. Do you have any way of testing those resolutions yourself? I know for a fact my monitor/TV only goes up to 1920x1080 (and the recommended resolution is 1280x720), so anything beyond that would be completely guess-work on my end.
  5. K1R uses the dialog.tlk for 99% if not 100% of its text. I believe the DLG Converter tool only works on text not covered by the dialog.tlk, but I could be wrong. In any case, it should be fine since the text is in the dialog.tlk file. It would show up in-game as English text and the VOs would be English, but you wouldn't run into "invisible text" issues. The DLG Converter itself would accomplish the same thing as the above. It wouldn't convert the English text into Italian or Spanish or something; only make it visible for those languages in-game.
  6. Not saying you screwed up, but the wording on that last comment could be a hell of a slap to the face...
  7. This is awesome, and I know how it works, after a bit. https://imgur.com/gallery/OfiAUPH

My first thought: "How much time did they waste doing that?"

My second thought: "Well that was oddly efficient"..

  8. @Lucy: The main thing is Effix is coming to us second-hand with the reports instead of having those with the issue report directly. So there's a much bigger lapse in help and communication. @Effix: At this point, perhaps you could give those reporting issues the same prompt from the Read Me First thread, have them fill it out, and then paste that here?
  9. Does anyone read Russian? I have a message I want sent. So I need a middle-man.

  10. In addition, I'm assuming that this mod and the TSLRCM mentioned are both from the Workshop. So depending on your instructions for combining the mods, this could be a .2da conflict or something and re-doing the mod's installation to use the TSL Patcher could help.
  11. What you download from the site is a .7z file. This needs to be extracted with a program like 7zip or WinRAR. After that, you should be able to run the installer.
  12. I voted that the movie felt pretty good, but it was only because of the mass character death. Otherwise I'd have loved it. While I understand the mass character death was necessary, it didn't feel right to introduce a lot of characters and then kill them off willy-nilly. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie and plan to buy it. I also liked the droid.
  13. ...When you load the front page and immediately look away because you haven't seen the movie yet... Not until tomorrow.

  14. Only way to hide this is to spam some posts so it's not there. Unless you mean to hide the thread completely so that only staff can see it.
  15. To use mods, you will indeed need to buy the PC version of the game. Most would probably recommend the Steam version for simplicity. Most of the mods for the games are available either here or at a website called NexusMods ( http://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/? ), but a lot of the older ones would need to be requested in the Mod Requests section of the forums. As for installing and using the mods, it's a bit circumstantial. At a rough estimate, I'd say 92-95% of mods come with an installer designed by the community for compatibility and patching and the other 5-8% is copying and pasting files to specific spots on your computer so the game recognizes the files. Similarly, 98% of mods come with a read-me and of those, the majority detail how to install them. If you need help, feel free to ask. And activating the mods in-game? Depends on the mod. Some stuff might need to be done to make a mod activate, some mods might activate through normal gameplay, and some mods might just be running in the background so-to-speak.
  16. I figured a big shot walking up and saying "I'm so proud of you!" on the internet could be interpreted in a condescending or mocking light, so I covered my bases.
  17. First of all, I want to say something and I apologize for how it's going to sound: I am proud of you for figuring out the "Maintenance Droid doesn't heal" issue on your own. You did exactly what I was going to suggest and do myself. As to the death animation thing, you are on the right track. Looking at the Maintenance Droid in 102PER, it has "k_def_user_heal" as its User Defined script. Looking at this in DeNCS, it has what I was suspecting. The explosion and all that on death is a user-defined OnDeath thing. The user-defined stuff is toggled on and off in the OnSpawn script. And the "k_def_user_heal" script has stuff about going boom when they die. So extracting that file and entering it as the User Defined script in your .utc files should fix the issue. As to the other issue, I see nothing that would cause that.
  18. @Hassat Hunter: Because a_load262 is ran both after Visas' conversation and after Mical tells the Admiral about the attack on Telos. Leilukin is wanting to avoid modifying any dialog files, otherwise I'd just have her change the a_load262 to discadm and then add discstart on the next node.
  19. As ever, a "problem" with editing Bastila's underwear model is the seams involved with the waistband of her original underwear. They're so high-cut as to limit your options and a reskin without taking care of them via modelling makes them stand out.
  20. In that case I apologize. I'd add ", miss" to that, but I recently learned that not every woman likes being referred to that way. If you're okay with editing the globalcat.2da file, then you can add a boolean called something like "LEI_650END_DISCTALK" and then edit your a_load262 this way: Edit: By the way, it took me forever to learn, but when posting the code snippets, if you set the Code Type to XML, you don't get the annoying color-coding.
  21. Can you tell me the filenames of the files you pulled for the maintenance droids? and from where?
  22. In that case, we can do it with either local variables or global ones, but I'm just trying to keep it as simple as possible since the guy wants to avoid editing any dialogs at all for some reason. Otherwise I'd just tell him to replace the a_load262 in Visas' dialog with both discadm on one node and discstart on the next one.
