  1. Update: I think I may have found a good potential VO actor for the role of Jett Darklighter but I'm awaiting approval before obtaining the actor's services. More to come.
  2. The work that I haven't discussing in this thread is not an expansion of the Expansion. It's fixing it to work with the other big mods. Newbiemodder didn't give permission for the plot to be altered, nor was he asked. Ndix UR and Liliarch are working on the fixes. BTW, is anyone going to post a sample of voice overs? That's what this thread is primarily about. Recruiting people for the voice overs. I will be converting the WAV voice files to MP3. Steam Compatibility? Again - you'll have to talk to ndix UR and Liliarch. But not here.

  4. I’m just working on the Voice Actors but perhaps someone else might comment.
  5. This isn't for the documentary. This also isn't for (any version of) M4-78. It's something else entirely. If you might be interested in doing a voice for project that I've provided absolutely no details for . . . Please leave a sample of your work without filters or computer-aided pitch changes. Post the sample as a YouTube video. This not only enables me to hear your voice but can let others listen as well. (Those others might even help figure out how your vocal talents can be best utilized. (Yes, even without knowing what project I am working on.) State what sort of parts that you personally feel you would perform your best work as. Those chosen will receive the lines via PM. Update on 19 MAY 2018: A little more information . . . I don't have to be as secretive about this anymore as I've got the go ahead from Newbiemodder to proceed. The project is to repair any issues with Newbiemodder's Korriban Expansion. It will involve repairing bugs, fixing some texturing issues, correcting some spelling/grammar issues, some other issues, and getting the voice actors back from the original version to re-record lines. Some of those voice actors might not return for one reason or another and in those cases, we'll have to recast those parts. That's where you'll come in. THIS THREAD ONLY HAS TO DO WITH THE VOICE FILES. (Now open to discussion of all portions being worked on for the update.) Having videos of your parts will enable the team to make determinations on which voices might fit the parts available. Thank you for your interest!
  6. Time for me to finally start looking at some 3DSMAX tutorials on YouTube. (And not skip ahead!)

The problem with that was trying to run before learning how to crawl then walk. I have hours or tutorial videos that I can watchnow. Even after I get through that, I have years of tutorials and questions asked and answered here. In addition, I've got a wealth of knowledge from the folks that I'm consulting with that should prove useful. But first, I have to watch those videos. (Preferably on a treadmill as I could use the exercise! LOL)

It's the trap pretty much everyone falls into, but the Romans didn't learn to animate in a day. Hell, I've been noodling about with 3D stuff for nigh on 15 years and I still suck at it.

It also helps that I'm not in a rush - especially as one of those aforementioned persons that I'm consulting with has ideas on how to animate something on the Ebon Hawk that previously has been un-animated. But that's his project and not necessarily to do with mine. Even if a project doesn't come to fruition, at least I'll have learned *something*. (We can't ask you everything! LOL)

  7. I was hoping for more responses to my question but I guess what I've received so far will have to do for now. I've sent out emails to some skinners in PMs. If anything ever comes of it, I'll point this thread to any resulting work. I'm still keeping this thread open though . . . just in case other suggestions come in. Sorry about the vague "cloak and dagger secrecy" about this, folks. It's a pain when you're trying to keep a surprise sometimes.
  8. As the Guild Navigator once said . . . "I see plans within plans"

  9. I don't think you need living characters or voices. You could have lotsa corpses though! Mika Dorin, the bartender? Dead. Kobayashi (from BOS)? Dead. Verbal the Droid (from BOS)? Broken. Dak Vesser, Juhani's friend from the Valley of the Dark Lords? Dead. . . . and so on. You couldn't include anyone that could have possibly been killed in the previous game. Seeing the area after a Sith civil war had broken out could interesting as well. Perhaps you could make a small quest trying to figure out how each of the characters died.
  10. Instead of clogging up Effix's mod release thread, why not make a request for something that matches your vision in the Request section? Update: Re-reading this, this may come off as dismissive but that truly wasn’t intended. If you feel there’s something to your suggestion, why not flesh out your idea as an official request.
  11. I'm trying to gauge interest of our readers of who they think are the best environmental skinners that are currently active in the community. When I say skinners, I'm not talking about folks that exclusively do textures for either technical readouts (monitors and the like) or NPC skinning. In this particular case, I'm leaning more towards an expertise in walls, floors, and rock faces. After a list is assembled, I'll likely reach out folks that are both active and not working on a project. There's a mod that I have in mind that may benefit from some polish. (I'll not reveal that mod in this thread as I don't want to possibly offend the maker of the mod I'm privately musing about.) But enough of my yammering on, who do you folks think are the good active skinners out there?
  12. Isn't all of this a case of putting the cart before the horse? What content would you put in these modules? You probably should work that out before thinking about remaking this location.
  13. Wow, my "Peragus Large Monitor Adjustment" has reached over 10,000 downloads! Thanks! Why not check out my other mods (and leave some reviews) here: https://tinyurl.com/y9qlqeob

  14. Well, there's always this mod if you thought KotOR2's Korriban was too short.
  15. I don't understand this question so you may wish to ask Hassat Hunter about it. I am not part of the M4-78 official team and therefore, I should not be answering troubleshooting questions about M4-78 EP. M4-78 EP is compatible with TSLRCM and it always has been.
  16. So when the above conversation was a current thing, I wondered: Has anyone ever asked Obsidian for the line? So I did. Here's the response that I received today. So . . . feel free to bug Disney directly. Just don't say I sent you.
  17. This request is a test . . . of how stubborn some of you are about English letter forms and Arabic numerals appearing in a Star Wars game. (Never mind that there's already an in-universe explanation about that but why let logic stop us now?) If you hate seeing Arabic numbers appear in the game, you must really hate the swoop portion of the games because you see these. That texture is called "LMG_Numbers" in both games. How long can you keep from fixing this? Please note: Even if you do complete this mod, I won't be updating my Swoop Monitors mod to use a new texture.
  18. Hopefully, Project Starforge won't forget to credit your work in adding the legal information when submitting the mod. Good luck!
  19. . . . a few hours later What do you with folks that ragequit in such a dramatic fashion? You smile and nod, and let them calm down on their own. (Which I've done now.) There's another problem I would've had with the video even if I had figured out all of the above: the skyboxes. The skyboxes used in the "Part 4" picture above are combination of my Coruscant skybox and Sharen Thrawn's Nar Shaddaa skybox. I can't release that merged skybox without ST's permission so the video seems to be a moot point, huh?
  20. I need this program, FS. Could you either send it to me or upload it to the site permanently?
