  1. M4-78 EP Upscaled Maps

    M4-78 EP Upscaled Maps

    Created by: Sith Holocron

Game: Knights of the Old Republic II

    Version 1.0 Uploaded: 08 FEB 2025

This mod was designed to upscale and/or enhance the map textures seen in the M4-78 Enhancement Project mod.  It is not an extensive mod pack. It’s just the maps. The pictures should illustrate things pretty clearly.

This mod will not drastically change your play through of the M4-78 EP. Please any complaints about the quality of that mod elsewhere.

    Installation:

Requirement: Though I’m probably stating the obvious here, you’ll need the M4-78 Enhancement Project installed first.  Then allow the TGA files in my mod pack to override the files in the Override folder.

    Thanks / Credits:

Thanks to Fair Strides for feedback while making this mod.

    Note:

I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. Ever.

I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use. Messages that request permission without providing information on how your alternate version would be different than mine should be considered an instant denial of permission.

As shocking as it is for me to believe this myself, I just put up by my count north of 115 mod requests. Blame Obsidian for making a flawed masterpiece--emphasis on the flawed.

May we assume these are things you're requesting for the build after the imminent one?

  3. It looks like it's been about 2 years since my last request. I'm just making it before the end of the year to make a new one.

Darth Parametric released a Modder's Resource in 2016 called the Lethisk Freighter AKA I-Wing Placeable. (And before the jackals chime in, I know it's been updated since then.)

I have the feeling it would've been used in mods more often if someone had publicly released a skin for this placeable. I've requested this before around the time of the original release but I had no takers. Since then, we've had a lot of new blood and I'm curious what they might be able to do. So that's what I'm requesting- a skin for this placeable.

Note: If someone submits a skin for this placeable before you, I am still interested in what you can achieve. After all, variety is the spice of life. Do not let the specter of someone else being first scare you off.

  4. Brotherhood of Shadow Solomon's Revenge: Video Enhancement Project

    BOSSR Recreated Movies

Please rate this file before you scamper away. Thanks!

    Mod Description:

To wind up my efforts to modernize Silveredge9’s Brotherhood of Shadow Solomon’s Revenge, I decided to concentrate on the pre-rendered videos (BIKs) that came with that mod.

Though I previously made a replacement for the BOSSR specific “Legal Screen” video – available separately here – these 3 cover the other 3 BIKs.  Namely, the flyby of a Hammerhead vessel (the Orion), a duel between Solomon and Shadow, and the BOSSR-specific credits video. The new videos are in 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are two options for the live_13.bik video. (Both videos can be seen on the mod download page.)

But I think seeing it in action would probably be more convincing than just writing about it.

Here's the BEFORE video, taken from the original mod.

And here's what the AFTER version using a modern computer and having upscaled textures.

This is Version 1 of the Credits BIK

And here's Version 2 of the Credits BIK.

And here's the video where the Hammerhead Orion does a fly-by past the camera. The original video in the mod only had "Brotherhood of Shadow" rather than the full title as it was taken directly from the original version of the mod. This has been corrected here.

    A Reminder:

BOSSR is not compatible with the KotOR Community Portal Mod Build. If you’re using that, then you should NOT be installing BOSSR or this mod with your setup.

    Installation:

Drop the BIK files into the Movies folder. You’ll have to choose only 1 version of the live_13.bik video which are in separate folders.

If you play in a resolution below 1920x1080, you will need to manually downscale the cutscenes to match your chosen resolution. If you are playing with no widescreen modifications they will need to be downscaled to play at *native movie resolution* [I forget what this is, something asininely small like 800x600?]. If you are using widescreen and have NOT added in other cutscene mods or edited your executable to allow for widescreen movies, you will need to enable this functionality. See this video for more. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA5l6HVs4Y4]. If you do so and experience cutscene minimization, you should double-check your edited hex values. If the issue persists, you may need to manually rescale these cutscenes to precisely match your chosen widescreen resolution.

    Uninstall:

Remove the files from this mod that you placed in the Movies folder.

    Special Thanks:

JCarter426: Created the live_12 and live_13 videos - with the exception of the BOSSR logo – entirely by himself. His videos are included with his permission and with my thanks.

90sk: Adding an outline to the made-from-scratch BOSSR logo.

Basil Bonehead: Animating the moving BOSSR logo in the “BOSSR Live 11” video.

Dark Hope: For creating the Shadow textures that I used in the “BOSSR Live 11” video. They are available here.

Snigaroo: He helped tremendously with the Installation instructions you find above. If this mod works for you, it’s mostly due to him.

Well after a decade or so break I've released my first new KotOR mod!

I doubt anyone would remember my old ones, but if you do expect the same quality (low) and attention to detail (also low)!

A set of new armor with a Republic colour scheme based on the Class 8 armor. Modifiable - good but not too good - so hopefully it'll get a look in now and then.

    Republic Assault ArmorUnavailable

Why haven't you uploaded it to the site?

The mods I use are restored content one, the new bonus droid planet M4-78, graphics improvement ones (visuals for characters, worlds, lightsabers and high quality blasters), party swap (handmaiden and disciple for either sex main character), choose Hanharr or Mira mod, Coruscant Jedi temple, Arena, and the implant project (mod about balancing/changing implants), workbench named crystal attunement, no blur on force speed and delayed message from Exchange on Nar Shaddaa, invisible headgear and the K2 Improved Game-play Mod (2,5)

As is mentioned about Bug Reports in this post, links are required for assistance. I think you'd definitely need to provide the links to the two mods that N-DReW25 pointed out but providing links for all of them would be for the best. (Yes - even if they are on this site.)

    Speaking of this landing pad...

I spent today working on this little beauty, my plan is to delete the landing pads from 950COR, that way they don't feel too familiar and aren't seen in the background of the level.

I've also deleted the council chambers from this version of the level, that way an elevator can be taken down and another elevator can be taken to the council chambers, just as in the existing mod.

Quite proud of this, but I have yet to see how it actually fares in-game, the walkmeshes need some adjusting and I need to finish the cross join hallway in the middle of the building to add two elevators, or possibly a room, I am not sure yet.

    nearly.png.98a191de52c4e0618b40e386accada36.png

There's still a lot of work to do, but this took me the best part of a day to put together.

    pads.png.892880763a5c2fb59c361b20240afd31.png

This shows the landing pad without, for some reason it only had safety rails on 2 of the 5 gaps in perimeter, so I added them to all 5 on both sides of the level.

Nar Shaddaa has these gaps too, but I think it's fine for a run-down old landing pad on Nar Shaddaa, not some fancy fresh landing pad on Coruscant.

    long.png.a5868c85d685d8289f44893fca078305.png

And a preview of the hallway from the inside.

I might attempt to make a landing/take-off animation myself, though I have no idea how it will turn out or if I will even get that far yet, the surrounding area needs decorating somewhat still I think.

I don't want any modifications to the landing area beyond the mods I requested be used in the OP, so your project isn't applicable to the movie request.

  8. KotOR2 Random Panels

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 15 NOV 2024

    UPDATE RLEASE: 21 NOV 2024

GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords

    Description:

While recuperating after open heart surgery, I needed a small project to keep me occupied. Something relatively stress-free so I could go about the work without getting to frustrated.
I landed on redoing some of the panels for the various planets that *mostly* tend to look the same with minor difference in coloring. I settled on the panels included here.
There are separate downloads for each game but some of the textures appear in both as Obsidian did reuse some of the textures.

Update to release: I have added the following textures to this mod package.
    dxn_SPn01, HAR_Pn02, PER_Tek1, PLC_WtrLvl

    Answer to Possible Question:

Where is the texture for the panel on Peragus?  It is included in this separate download: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1375-peragus-medical-monitors-and-computer-panel/

    Installation:

Drop the TGA files and TXI files into your Override.  My textures have been labeled with their names on the download page so if there's one that you don't particularly care for, don't drop that one into your Override folder.
If using another texture pack that includes identically named textures (whether they are TGA, TGA with TXI, or a TPC file), remove those from your Override before putting mine in.

    Uninstallation:

Take the files you put in, out again. ;)

    Known Bugs:

    None known at this time.

  10. Replacement Cathalan Loading Screens for KotOR2: Add-On Pack (with or without TSLRCM)

    About This File

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron

    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 02 NOV 2024

GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1.]

    Description:

Were you ever dissatisfied with the low-resolution loading screens when you playing the Cathalan mod? What if told you there was a mod that took care of that for you? Psssst…it’s this mod! The texture size is 2048 by 2048 so you'll have a large sized picture for each loading area. Alll textures used in the actual screenshots were actually upscaled. (Those textures may or may not be released later - depending on how this mod is received. Like my other loading screen mods, the same line-filter effect  used on my other loading screens is used here.

Note: I am not involved with production of the original Cathalan mod. I was NOT involved with its writing or development. I am also unable and unwilling to teach you how to find the mod and to get it to work with your particular setup. You’ll have to do the heavy lifting. Questions on how to setup Cathalan will be ignored and passed along to my friends of stupidity manifesting itself in the universe.

List of the areas covered in this mod

    Code                            Area

    451CAT                 Keralt High Level

    452CAT                 Keralt Middle Level

    453CAT                 Keralt Entertainment Level

    454CAT                 Keralt Lower Level

    455CAT                 Warrior Base

    456CAT                 Wyvern Dragon’s Base

    457CAT                 Eastern Dark Lands

    458CAT                 Mattersan District

    459CAT                 Western Dark Lands

    460CAT                 Outsider’s Enclave

    461CAT                 The Crypts

    462CAT                 Keralt Sector 51

    Installation:

    ----------------

This will only work in a game with Cathalan previously installed. Drop the TGA into your Override folder. Unlike my other Loading Screen mods, this does not include a loading screen.2da in the mod package.  (I suppose I was trying to limit Cathalan’s possibility of infection.) If you are using OzilsEyes' Cathalan Improvement Project, you'll want to remove the TPC files in the Override with the same name first before putting mine in. I suggest putting the TPC loading screens on your desktop so you can review mine in action.

    Uninstall:

Take out what you put in.  If for any reason, you don’t like one (or more) of the loading screens, consult the list above so you can determine which TGA file/s you will need to remove from your Override folder. Again, if you are using OzilsEyes' Cathalan Improvement Project, you'll want to replace the TPC files in the Override with the same name first after removing mine.

Here are samples of the loading screens.

  11. It couldn't hurt to have more options for folks to use so there's no reason to not release your texture pack.

I would recommend making the marble texture on the landing pad walkway to a seamless texture.

I didn't notice but did you include any loading screens or make any changes to the skyboxes?
