  1. Svosh's mod includes the correct clothing in that file but if you accept Bastila's offer and she joins your party, Bastila switches back to the default black robes. So something changes there in the game files that is not included in the mod when Bastila changes from a NPC to a playable character again. I do not believe unk44evilbast.utc is what needs to be modified.
  2. I thought so too, but even on a clean Override install of these two mods, the issue persisted. Another user on Nexusmods mentioned the same problem occurring, although admittedly we could have the same mods installed. I have way too many mods initially installed so I will have to list them when I have more time. There are at least forty-four of them and it will take me some time to track down all the links. Please bare with me. I did find a workaround by using KOTOR Tool to modify another mod. I was not thrilled with this workaround as it involved using one mod to fix another. Said workaround uses Silveredge9's Bastila Dark Side Head Reskin mod by editing the file sta_bastila001.utc with KOTOR Tool and changing her robes from the Dark Jedi ones to the modded ones. Unfortunately, it only fixes the problem on the Star Forge and not if you join her on top of the temple.
  3. I installed both Svosh's Good / Evil Robe Mod and Kazeite's LD Bastila Robe Mod but discovered a problem with the former on which the latter is based on. In Svosh's mod, the red Sith robes featured are worn by Bastila when you find her at the top of the Rakatan temple in the first game. However, if you join Bastila and she joins your party, she reverts back to the default Dark Jedi robes. More disappointing is that Bastila will also revert to the black Dark Jedi robes on the Star Forge as well if you do not join her. Either way the mod does not work completely. Why does this occur? I had almost given up on the idea of a fix because I could not reach Svosh for assistance but I found an old playthrough video by Shem where Bastila is wearing these same robes on the Star Forge when you confront her in the light side option. So it is possible to fix the mod in question. ChAiNz.2da made a similar mod that was also released here on Deadly Stream called Bastila's Revelation Robes but the same problem exists.
  4. This mod makes one of the male PC heads have a shiny effect on their hair. I have been unable to find the cause of this effect. If only we had a TSL Patcher version of this wonderful mod and a fix for this bug, I would have given it five stars instead of four.
  5. Yes, I see, thank you for the update which fixes this problem. I tried a save from the end of Taris after escaping Davik's estate, and it showed up as you said it would. The mod is well done and works as intended with the fabricator on Dantooine. One minor odd thing I noticed was that the forcefield effect did not turn off for me, but I could still access the container after fabricating one of the robes.
  6. I installed the mod and then used a save on Dantooine when you go there for the first time. The fabricator does not show up though in the Aratech room. Do I need to do something before it shows up?
  7. I highly doubt we will get a sequel to Knights of the Old Republic as a standalone game. The Old Republic is really that sequel, for better or worse. With the canon reset however, I do think it is somewhat likely that we might get a KOTOR style RPG / Adventure game set in the pre-prequel era, back when the Jedi and Sith were fighting for supremacy. I would like to see the "Great Scourge of Malachor" played out. Not only is the idea based on Malachor V from KOTOR II but it reminds me of the Valley of the Jedi from Dark Forces II - Jedi Knight. Would make for an interesting climax to a game.
  8. So I finally ran into the dreaded grass glitch in Knights of the Old Republic on Taris, in the Undercity map. It basically causes the grass textures to go haywire on newer video cards. I hear it effects AMD/ATI video cards mostly; I have an Intel card myself. I tried a custom fix shown here on the Steam forums, but it did not work for me. I put the GLOveride files in both the main directory for KOTOR and the 'Override' directory, but neither worked. Sadly this glitch appears to also be present in Knights of the Old Republic II as well. The only workaround I can tell is to simply turn 'Grass' off in the 'Graphics' menu of the game. I am frankly shocked that both Steam and GOG.com sell a game with such an obvious and basic problem. Then again, they did not make the games so they probably could not patch them even if they wanted to. What could be causing this glitch?
  9. How are you Fair Strides? I feel awful for you about your accident and on a birthday no less. Please take care of yourself.
  10. I tried to use this mod on the vanilla version of my game (GOG version) and found an odd bug. One of the male player character heads (the one with the beard patch and spikey hair) has the front part of their head hair become shiny for some reason. Here is a screenshot to show what I mean. Notice the shiny opaque texture? I have seen the same bug whether I used a vanilla version of the 'Override' folder or with other mods. I would not put it past error installing the mod on my part but I followed the readme instructions. I narrowed down the culprit to the appearance.2da file but have no idea what part of the file is causing this glitch.
  11. Ah, you are both quite right. I was making a stupid oversight, not selecting the entire KOTOR file on my computer rather than just the 'Override' folder. Thanks for your assistance jc2 and DarthParametric.
  12. Thank you for the reply, jc2. I did read the readme but I kept getting an error message with TSL Patcher. The 'Override' file in my GOG version of KOTOR does not have a appearance.2da file in it. I suppose I could use the backup version provided. I will see if that works.
  13. It has been a while since I last used this mod and TSLPatcher. Could anyone tell me how to properly install this mod again?
  14. I am inclined to agree, but if there is a consensus on this site that mods should not be distributed without the express permission of the modders themselves, who am I to argue?
  15. Very nice work on another slick reskin. It helps our favorite characters look a little bit better on newer monitors.
  16. Yes? No? Maybe? Either way, I won't re-post here without the modders permission if that is the rule of thumb. I can get why that is as some mod creators are particular about where their creations end up. Nevertheless, it is a shame when a good mod someone put a lot of work into vanishes into the internet memory hole when a domain goes down.
  17. Ah, good point. I understand there is a code of conduct but does this apply to modders who are no longer active or cannot be reached for permission? Even if said mods are attributed to the original creators?
  18. While searching for many of the mods lost after Filefront.com closed, I came across a website run by a modder named "MrWonko". One of the parts of his larger website includes a repository of mods from the old Filefront.com domain Jedi Knight 3 Files. I downloaded a few of the mods, and they seem to be legitimate copies of the ones from the old JK3files.com website. If this is the case and the mods still work, we could back them up here too. Link: Mr.Wonko's JK3 Files Repository.
