  1. Very interesting!

I stumbled on this idea when I found crystal spawn scripts for all crystals except the Wookie and Krayt Dragon Crystal in the Dantooine Crystal Cave.

I've added some of the crystals to spawn but not the ones I deem way too powerful at that part of the game or game breaking (solari).

The tslpatcher takes very long to install it all but it's worth it :D

This mod wouldn't of been possible without you though buddy!

  2. Crystal Cave redux and upgradeable crystal

    WARNING:
If you wish to use both my Crystal cave Redux and my TSL Inspired Crystals mod you will need to install the main component of the Crystal Cave redux mod first, and then install the second option of the TSL Inspired Crystal Mod. Otherwise they won't work together.

Crystal cave overhaul and upgradeable crystal 2.0
    Author: djh269
    Release Date: 16.04.2017
    Release Date (2.0): 16.02.2024

    Installation:
Simply click on the TSLPatcher.exe and click install and sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic

    Compatibility:
This won't be compatible with any mods that modify the Dantooine Crystal Cave module or mods that edit the vanilla lightsaber item files. It also won't be compatible with any mods that modify the Upgrade.2da file for definite, as there's a very specific limit within the file. You have been warned.

    Description:
    - There are two minor side quests that are initiated when you play through the mod.
    - The first quest starts when you meet a female Twilek on Dantooine.
    - The crystal cave spawns more crystals, I have used some scripts that were already present but not used and I've added my own.
    - Fixed the other Kinrath eggs being unusable.
    - There is a new Mandalorian body, that provides you with a datapad explaining why he and the blue Mandalorian are there.
    - I've also added the Hive Queen to the crystal cave, a force using powerful Kinrath capable of strong force feats, she's not to be underestimated. I've also added a demolitions backpack to the module to assist in taking her down.
    - There's also an option to change the vanilla stats of the Kinrath within the cave.
    - I have also changed the Firkrann crystal icon as it was the same as the Sapith crystal icon. And I've changed the description of the red crystal.
    - There is a new Twilek Jedi master that spawns on Tatooine, I suggest speaking to him after each planet.
    - The Tatooine Twilek doubles up as a merchant, he has normal items and "premium" items which you can unlock by progressing through the game.
    - Both Twileks have upgraded head textures and robes, courtesy of SpaceAlex's Enhancement mod.

There's a new personalised crystal that can be upgraded as you progress through the game. In order to upgrade the crystals you have to do it in the following order:

Crystal 1: Found in the crystal cave on Dantooine
Crystal 2: Can be upgraded by speaking to the new Twilek Jedi near the Ebon Hawk in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine
Crystal 3: Can be upgraded by speaking to the new Twilek Jedi near the Ebon Hawk in the Docking Bay on Tatooine
Crystal 4: Can be upgraded by speaking to the new Twilek Jedi near the Ebon Hawk in the Docking Bay on Tatooine as you progress further in the game
Crystal 5: Can be upgraded by speaking to the new Twilek Jedi near the Ebon Hawk in the Docking Bay on Tatooine as you progress further in the game
Option 1 Lightside - Crystal 6: Can be upgraded by speaking to the new Rakata near the Mandalorian group in the Temple exterior module.
Option 2 Darkside - Crystal 7: Can be upgraded by speaking to the new Rakata near the Mandalorian group in the Temple exterior module.

  3. Try using Taina's Replacer after you export your edited model to compile the head back together with animations. Worked for me

You don't need MDLOps to change textures. A hex edit will suffice. If the head is not working then you did something wrong. Btw, I would place a copy of the relevant MDX in the Override folder alongside the edited MDL. Sometimes the game can be a bit screwy if you don't.

Of course if the character uses a unique texture then you don't even need to touch the model. Just put an edited copy of the texture in the Override and keep the name the same.

Thanks for the tips guys, I ended up using Hex Editor XVI32 to change the mdl file and it worked! I can't seem to make the writing on Hexplorer to be of a normal size.

  4. I was just wondering if I require MDLOPs or Hex Edit to edit vanilla heads, every time I try and edit the N_Uthurah.mdl and N_Zharh.mdl to have new textures it ends up with the head either looking very weird or the texture and model are fine but the lips won't move. When I use the replace function in Hex Edit I use the same texture name length as the vanilla models.

    Am I doing something wrong?

  5. Yeah I knew of Yodas approach to love and family, Qui Gonn was a bit of a rogue to the order as well wasn't he? And he would of passed down a lot of his beliefs to Yoda, Obi Wan and Luke as a ghost.

I loved the far away shot of Rey swinging her lightsaber, I don't know why.

The title has been ripped into since they released it.

  6. Try using this guides as a reference:

    https://web.archive.org/web/20121204061305/http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=143176

The only sections you want to amend in the appearance.2da files are these:

    modelb

    texb

Then, if you wanted to release your mod use this guide to get it ingame and compatible:

  7. SpaceAlex wanted to create his NPC enhancement pack in such a way that it avoids using .mod files, he wanted all his modifications (if he can get away with it) to be placed within the Override. My guess is the Marl bug and the Tatooine Sith battle is his mod clashing with any mod, BOS, K1R and Kainzerous Prime's NPC overhaul for example, that uses .mod files.

  9. These are the needed files to edit the model:

    plc_endcorps.mdl

    plc_endcorps.mdx

    PLC_EndPlA.tga

    PLC_EndPlB.tga

    PLC_EndPlC.tga

    PLC_EndPlD.tga

    PLC_lit02.tga

I looked into the model it uses, it seems to have a strange animation applied to it:

  10. Quanon created the masks and armors entirely, I fixed things on the tslpatcher, I also went through some options of getting it ingame and Quanon settled on having the Anchorhead sith party leader spawning the placeable. Quanon didn't want the work of others to get overrode by having the sith party leaders having the armors.

But, there is a vanilla bug with this script: k_ptat_sithtalk.ncs, I haven't amended it, yet. If you talk to the sith leader on Anchorhead with a party member instead of the player you'll spawn right next to the sith party. This doesn't occur if you're playing as the main player though. I've tried decompiling it with DeNCS or amending the Kashyyk version to no avail.

  11. It will only work if you haven't been to the Anchorhead area within Tatooine yet, the placeable spawns after killing the leader in the sith trio party. There's also a save provided just before entering Anchorhead.

Be wary of the two sith trio parties on both the Kashyyk walkway and Tatooine Anchorhead, they're more difficult than they were before.

Mandalorian Helmet/head + armor icon redux

    Author: djh269
    Release Date: 20.03.2017

    Description:
This changes the default icons for the Mandalorian Helmet/head + armor you find within the game, all items. I've also tweaked the Mandalorian Assault Armors description, as it stated: "This was the armor of the Mandalorian elite frontline troops, a sight that Republic soldiers were all too familiar with during the war." I've removed the "elite" part, as the disguise was for the standard troopers.

  14. I was making a new armor that sped you up using the appearance.2da, here are some of my tests. It's very fun I just need a better module, I'll try out the white rakata box module. I'll also need to play around with the animation settings in the appearance.2da file.
