When I started playing Kotor 2 few days ago, l realized there was a odd annoying buzzing sound going off every time I exit a console/terminal. The sound doesn't stop until you save and reload game. The problem exists due to the recent steam patch. In order to fix it, you have to delete two .wav files, do not worry, you will not notice any difference in gameplay after you deleted the files(Just won't hear that annoying buzzing sound). Simple steps: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\StreamSounds Delete amb_elecwire_A.wav Delete amb_elecwire_B.wav Done! Profit? ( If I posted this thread in wrong forum, feel free to move it please )

Well least deadlystream is around, seems to be the best resource for modding Kotor at the moment. Pitty that Kotorfiles.com is down now, I wonder who made that decision, the people of filefront(gamefront.com)? Need another website setup similar to Kotor files, I liked the organization on that website for finding mods, and it had basically every mod ever created on there. Hopefully deadlystream can take it's place. It is truly sad seeing that website permanently go away, as it pretty much hurt the modding community for not only Kotor, but for the other games that the website hosted mods for. Edit: I got interested in trying to figure out a way to gain access to kotorfiles again, found a website that archived it: For browsing - Kotorfiles Backup: http://web.archive.org/web/20150721083748/http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/ For downloading - Kotor1: http://www.gamefront.com/files/listing/pub2/Star-Wars-Knights-of-the-Old-Republic/ For downloading - Kotor2: http://www.gamefront.com/files/listing/pub2/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-ii-the-sith-lords/ (Note: Google search will yield better results, essentially still linking to gamefront, other websites may also have the file too) You can visit every webpage and browse every mod like you used to be able to do, then use google, or gamefront to find download link by copying the exact name of the mod. Direct downloading doesn't work, but being able to visit the website, getting the names of the mods or looking at pictures will prove useful.

Ah, didn't see that, these forums are confusing most of the time to navigate.

I restored those two files from the "UltimateSoundMod" and the problem was fixed, no more HK force power.

Nah, dialog.tlk is fine, found out it's the "UltimateSoundMod" that conflicts with TSLRCM, though it says it is compatible. The mod alters: baseitems.2da spells.2da http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/293-shems-ultimate-sound-mod-for-tsl-and-kotor/ , probably should change that "TSLRCM Compatible: Yes" message to "TSLRCM Compatible: No"

Some reason there is a new force power shown now in the powers list every time I go to level up. Called "Finding the HK Factory", I found a similar post that someone made, but couldn't find any answer or fix to that, is this normal power, do I have to put a point in it, or is it merely a bug. Any advice on which mod could be causing this to show up like this, I've only used mods that said that were compatible with TSLRCM. Is the HD Movie and widescreen stuff even needed with the Steam Version? I read that the HD Movie Patch isn't required for steam version on another website I was browsing. Trying to get back into this game, but the modding headaches are making me want to uninstall, and forgot about the game completely. I spent like 1 week trying to mod the first KotOr game, headache after headache, trial and error, installing mods over and over again until I got it right. I just want to play the game with mods that are needed, and will work. Really this shouldn't be that difficult right? Wish there was some torrent that already had everything working, and installed. Even if it was 5GB's +, it would be very good idea to have some website setup like that, so people who want to get into the game, and not stress about modding stuff in the first place, can enjoy the game without worrying about conflicts e.t.c. As when I was playing through KotOr1, I had many mods installed, after getting halfway through the game, I would notice numerous conflicts plus bugs. I played from start a few times, re-configuring the mods, but then I gave up eventually trying to finish the game(Mind you I've already beat these games multiple times in my youth on the Xbox). Overall, I am having a unpleasant experience with this website, and modding in general for the game.

I watched video already, still doesn't entirely make sense to why I need to download, and use this program. It looks like all that the program is doing is just moving the files into the Override folder, I do not understand what it's doing exactly, is it converting the files or something, I don't get it. Your mod is the first that I've come across that requires this program, I am just going to avoid for now, as I use other texture mods for Taris, and other worlds without any issue, without needing this program.
