    EA is in trouble.

Yeah. I mean going off their history, we really should be giving EA some slack.... I really hope they fix it. But my guess is they are just waiting until after Xmas sales to come through and then will return the gambleboxes back with some slight tweaks

    EA is in trouble.

The latest news is in. EA temporarily removes micro transactions. AN UPDATE ON STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II
  3. Can't be disappointed in the new Battlefront if you had no faith in the new battlefront

  4. If flawless isnt working it might be easier to follow the steps in this video:
  5. 1) I actually hate my voice in all my videos. I know nothing about sound and everything I do makes it sound awful, the less of me you hear the better. Also since I was originally already voicing my review in the video that wouldn't work, among other reasons. 2) I actually worked on this for a while but struggled lining up the party members in good enough lighting to do the swipe transition I like to do when showcasing texture mods. I'll probably just go ahead and do it, since I am not worrying as much about perfection. This part should be out next week. I have to redo a bit of it still since the old one was baked into the video above and I had cut it a bit short so as not to be redundant. I am going to flesh it out a bit more and make it into a full length video of its own.
  6. Why do some TSLpatcher files detect the install location while others do not? Is there an easy fix?

Is there a reason for a mod to have that off? Would setting it to 1 myself cause any issues?

      DarthParametric

Setting it to 1 or 0 yourself manually is fine.

The Steam version uses a different registry key, so it won't get detected automatically (but TSLPatcher will then just pop up the browser the same as when set to 0). I started setting my mods to 0 for this reason.

I was actually working on a video involving the registry fix for the steam version. I noticed some mods were fixed while others still were not thus the initial question. Thanks for the help

  7. I cut out at least half of what Shem said, some entire questions are gone and I cut around a lot more exposition. The next video is going to be great
  8. Do you mean the video? It was nearly 40 min long at one point. But all the analytics show that most people will click away from anything longer than 10 to 15 min.
  9. Updated the News section and released another video

  10. Hello everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve updated the news and it’s time to remedy that. Today marks the release of the latest episode of the documentary series: “M4-78: A history”. If you are not familiar with the project go ahead and check it out via this playlist HERE. This series is the brain child of our beloved administrator Sith Holocron who has been working on this project for several years now. The documentary aims to tell the tale of every step of the fabled droid planet, from being cut originally, through all the various attempts at restoration to where we are today. While I edited the video all the researching, tracking down modders and digging up old mods most people forgot about is all Sith Holocron. The first few episodes were released several months ago and the delay for this one is all on me. Check out the latest episode of the series HERE. In other M4-78 news zbyl2 has posted an update in regards to the newest version of M4-78 and answered some questions regarding the latest version of the mod being only released on the steam workshop. You can read the full post HERE but if you just want the TL;DR I will summarize. Version 1.3 of the mod was not released on Deadlystream due to several larger updates that were intended to come much sooner, these major changes include: Reduced walking, reduced lag, and expanded ways to experience the planet. Read the whole post if you want more info, it covers the changes in more details. There has been many great mods released since my last post and I will continue my usual habit of posting some that I think are worth checking out. Honorable mention is Tutorial remover by darthbdaman. This mod removes the awful tutorial section on the Endar Spire by completely removing Trask. You still play the Endar Spire but now you play it your way without his annoying conversations. I showcased this mod in a video HERE but since this is something I have wanted for a long time I had to mention it again here. Another set of mods that are worth checking out is the HD textures series by Dark Hope and Quanon. These mods all add HD textures for various party members and NPCs. Not only is the attention to detail superb, but it also seems to focus on keeping the spirit of the characters intact. You can check out the screenshots yourself on the mods download pages. http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/1123-hd-canderous-ordo/ http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/1133-hd-carth-onasi/ http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/1054-hd-yuthura-ban/ http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/956-mission-vao-hd-by-quanon/ Sorry for taking so long for any updates. Thank you for reading. Have an excellent day. -X
  11. Let me know what you think of my latest mod showcase:

You Trask hater! I think I'm the one K1 player who screamed at Darth Bandon for killing Trask when that dialogue option was given. ;P

If I had to choose between the sith enslaving the galaxy and Trask living, I would be the first in line to serve my new sith overlords

  12. A lot of good suggestions in this thread. I have actually read a lot of the suggestions already, Not actually sure what this is, since when I google it a bunch of stuff comes up. No, I will have to check this out. That being said I really did not like American Gods so I am not so sure about reading anything by Gaiman again. Haven't read this one, I'll ahve to check it out as well
  13. Are you planning on just using TSLRCM? or do you plan to use other mods as well?
  14. Featuring the all new Firaxan shark card. Only $19.99 USD to get 1,250,000 credits deposited into your personal bank account.
  15. Hi all, I'm looking for book suggestions on what book to read next. Nothing Star Wars since I can see that being the obvious answer. Lately I have been reading mostly Sci-Fi & fantasy but if you have something else to suggest do so.
  16. Been out of contact for a while, sorry for the long absence.

  17. any suggestion/changes anyone have for the "Ultimate Kotor guide" post that I have. I want to add the fog fix and all the new steam stuff into the post

  18. I made a video on the duxn fog fix:

    1. Sith Holocron
    2. jc2

      jc2

I watched it, had no idea the fog was disabled with the tsl steam version, thanks!

  19. 1) Yes. Not only do many countries take lead based on US government policy, but many major tech companies exist in the US. They will spread the increased cost of doing business out globally to cover their losses. 2) Hypothetically, your ISP could make this site slower or more expensive to access than other sites.
  20. I have officially retired from making my Youtube videos. Other than a few projects that are in progress nothing new will be coming from me for a while. You can watch my announcement here

You will be missed. Has Shoelace retired as well?

Just wanted to say that your tutorials were very helpful. If it wasn't for your videos, I would have never known about Flawless Widescreen. Good luck to you!

Dam, well there goes any chance of my mods ever been reviewed.

  21. What resolution is your display? Have you launched the game and started a new game at least once?
  22. There have always been rumors about a certain Star Wars game releasing bouncing around the community. Over the last few weeks we have seen some more of this speculation, but this time it comes from the developers. Liam Robertson, spoke on his podcast about several things including a new Bioware “MMO-style co-op game” that will feature a “Sci Fi” setting. He also mentioned something that got the rumor mill running at full speed again, when he mentioned that Bioware Austin may be working on the Kotor franchise once again. Quote Liam then mentions that it may not mean a game bearing the Knights of the Old Republic name, but instead something based on KOTOR's structure. This got many fans excited as they have long awaited more Kotor since the MMO is not to everyone’s taste. There is a long running thread with discussions of K3 rumors so check it out here if that's your thing. Now if you are familiar with Kotor 3 rumours then you probably expect what I am going write next. The rumours are just that- rumors. While there was confirmation that Bioware Austin did at some point prototype a Kotor Style game, the project was not greenlit. Liam Robertson also reached out to Kotaku to clarify some of what he said in his podcast. Quote Sorry to disappoint you, but this is about par for the course when it comes to Kotor 3 rumors. While we are on the topic of disappointments, we also have Star Wars Battlefront news. A new trailer dropped for Dice’s latest attempt at reviving Battlefront. While it is too soon to say anything substantial about the game we do have a few facts. There will be a campaign where you take control of Imperial Loyalists after the destruction of the Death Star, something absent from the original installment. The is a discussion thread for the trailer here. Finally we have a new trailer for the newest Star Wars movie. There is a thread to discuss that in more detail here. I try to keep myself fairly free of spoilers so I tend to avoid trailers. That being said this one seems to not give away the entire film. MOD NEWS Just like last month I wanted to take the time to highlight and talk about some modding news and give a shoutout to a mod that I have not had time to cover in a video yet. This week I want to talk about Shanilia a mod that adds a new Grey Jedi Merchant to everyone’s favorite water planet. This mod adds a new character to the game who fits into the game while still reacting dynamically to your character and their choices. I am a big fan of what this mod is trying to accomplish, as there is a bit of a lack of added content mods. There will be a video showcasing the mod in the future on my youtube channel, but for now check the mod out for yourself. Every time I mention a mod, someone will eventually ask me to suggest a list of mods for them. I don't have the time to spend hours testing and compiling a list that is guaranteed to work. Luckily for me Snigaroo, over on the Kotor subreddit has already created such a list for both K1 and K2. It's worth checking out if you are in the mood for a full play though that is lore friendly and enhanced. Check that out HERE That is all for now. Thanks again for reading. I hope that you have an excellent day!

One thing that might give the planet overhaul videos some "pep" might be having two of these mods compared with one another. Like Thunder3's take on Endar Spire vs Jorak Uln's. You could say what parts you like over the other, etc. Video got a thumbs up from me, BTW!

  24. I'll be "back" tomorrow. If you have a mod you think I should cover let me know :)
