1 pointHello everyone, I'vee been fiddling with gmax and kotor these days and would like to show you some stuff I've been working on. The idea is to release one or more mods with outfits variants for some companions or secondary characters. I´ve made a version of Mission without her vest, one of Jolee with a hood and an open jacket carth version (Inspired in Kotor Comics and mod by Kha that was never released). Here you can see some pics: There is still some clipping issues to solve with the Jolee hooded model, and I'm having problems exporting the Carth model with the new applied texture , apparently due to a conflict between the "skin" and "unwrap uwv" modifiers. I´m trying to find the error because in the other models I did'nt have the same problem. In any case I tried to export it without the texture to the game and seems to be functional (Here there is an Ingame image). Well, hope someone is interested, on it, I usually have very little free time so I don't expect to finish soon, but anyways I still work on it and hope to finish some day. Opinions, advices or recommendations are welcome since I don't have much experience and still go through trial and error method. Thanks!

1 pointNews frm yesterday: Apeiron is no more. Lucasfilm forced closing the project. Won't give a link with the info because I read it in Polish. That's when our modders come in with the mods that aren't a total remake yet give it a new wonderful life.

1 pointApologies for the late reply, I completely forgot to report back on this. The short version is: yes, it’s easy to use. If a dummy like me can use it effectively then the rest of you guys will have no problem. Inserting co-ordinates & exporting it as an XML to be plugged into AniCam is a breeze. I’d highly recommend using it. Great work, @bead-v!

1 pointThat might be the nicest way to put it. Regardless of what one thinks of their work and whether it's a "mod" that had any chance of release, it's clear to me they wouldn't have put that much effort into it if they didn't care about it. I can certainly sympathize with the idea of not being allowed to work on something you care about. A few years ago I lost the motivation to ever embark on that sort of undertaking, when I heard about a fan project like this getting shut down - I think it was what they're calling Galaxy in Turmoil now - and I can only hope that nobody here will ever have to use the "but it's a mod" defense.

1 pointAnd there's already a change.org petition on it. I really don't see it doing anything but sit and go nowhere. It's sad that none of the big companies are willing to remake the games with a better engine and graphics. They would make a ton of money on it. More than their latest AAA Star Wars game that practically bombed due to EA's greed. Here's the link if anyone's interested. https://www.change.org/p/disney-lucasfilm-the-apeiron-project-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-remaster-must-continue/d?source_location=combo_psf

1 pointGot some issues when compiling models with a Flex/danglymesh it would seem. The hood on the Revan/Star Forge robes for example: Interestingly the hood seems to "dance" even in the vanilla version: But clearly it gets mangled when MDLEdit compiles it. The version compiled by MDLOps looks the same as the vanilla version. Files attached. Revan_Robes_Danglymesh_Test.7z

1 point"You fought in the Clone Wars?" "I was once a Jedi Knight, the same as your father." "You knew my father? What was he like?" "He was the best star pilot in the galaxy, and a cunning warrior..." Star Wars The Clone Wars Rezzy's Chronological Episode Guide Introduction: We know that The Clone Wars (3D) animated TV series came after the prequel movies and was based on their content, but did you know that The Clone Wars can actually stand on its own without any need for the prequels' story -- in fact, in many ways it even works much better that way? That's right, you can watch the original trilogy, then dive straight into The Clone Wars without ever needing to see the prequel films. You can choose to forget them entirely (if you wish to). The following guide is a curation of The Clone Wars episodes into a comprehensive (and no-nonsense) story on the historic events and battles of the Clone Wars (matching official sources), telling of Anakin Skywalker's life as a Jedi Knight, and eventual fallout with the Jedi Council at the time of the crumbling of the Jedi Order. It's a marathon of an epic, detailing the heroic times of the noble and brave Jedi Knights, who fought to preserve peace and justice in the galaxy, and exploring the vast world of the Star Wars galaxy. Let's dig in, the Clone Wars await! Note: It is recommended that you watch A New Hope before getting started on this lengthy saga, as the first episode makes direct references to it (or vice versa). The Chronology: Cat and Mouse (2,16) The Hidden Enemy (1,16) Clone Cadets (3,01) Supply Lines (3,03) Ambush (1,01) Rising Malevolence (1,02) Shadow of Malevolence (1,03) Destroy Malevolence (1,04) Rookies (1,05) Bombad Jedi (1,08) Cloak of Darkness (1,09) Lair of Grievous (1,10) Jedi Crash (1,13) Defenders of Peace (1,14) Trespass (1,15) Blue Shadow Virus (1,17) Mystery of a Thousand Moons (1,18) Storm Over Ryloth (1,19) Innocents of Ryloth (1,20) Liberty on Ryloth (1,21) Holocron Heist (2,01) Cargo of Doom (2,02) Children of the Force (2,03) Bounty Hunters (2,17) Landing at Point Rain (2,05) Weapons Factory (2,06) Legacy of Terror (2,07) Brain Invaders (2,08) Grievous Intrigue (2,09) The Deserter (2,10) Lightsaber Lost (2,11) The Mandalore Plot (2,12) Voyage of Temptation (2,13) Duchess of Mandalore (2,14) Death Trap (2,20) R2 Come Home (2,21) Lethal Trackdown (2,22) Corruption (3,05) The Academy (3,06) Assassin (3,07) ARC Troopers (3,02) Sphere of Influence (3,04) Heroes on Both Sides (3,10) Pursuit of Peace (3,11) Senate Murders (2,15) Nightsisters (3,12) Monster (3,13) Witches of the Mist (3,14) The Citadel (3,18) Counterattack (3,19) Citadel Rescue (3,20) Padawan Lost (3,21) Wookiee Hunt (3,22) Water War (4,01) Gungan Attack (4,02) Prisoners (4,03) Shadow Warrior (4,04) Mercy Mission (4,05) Darkness on Umbara (4,07) The General (4,08) Plan of Dissent (4,09) Carnage of Krell (4,10) Kidnapped (4,11) Slaves of the Republic (4,12) Escape from Kadavo (4,13) A Friend in Need (4,14) Deception (4,15) Friends and Enemies (4,16) The Box (4,17) Crisis on Naboo (4,18) Massacre (4,19) Bounty (4,20) Brothers (4,21) Revenge (4,22) A War on Two Fronts (5,02) Front Runners (5,03) The Soft War (5,04) Tipping Points (5,05) The Gathering (5,06) A Test of Strength (5,07) Bound for Rescue (5,08) A Necessary Bond (5,09) Revival (5,01) Eminence (5,14) Shades of Reason (5,15) The Lawless (5,16) Sabotage (5,17) The Jedi Who Knew Too Much (5,18) To Catch a Jedi (5,19) The Wrong Jedi (5,20) Condition Unknown (6,01) Conspiracy (6,02) Fugitive (6,03) Orders (6,04) Additional Notes: Because production of the episodes was not done in chronological order, some episodes feature chronologically later happening illustrative footage in their intro/briefing sequence. This may become apparent once you've watched the entire series at least once, and you are familiar with the sequence of events. The Downside: This being an animated series, the comedy is a little bit more light-hearted (childish) than in the movies, and actions/movements, as well as all visual features are stylised, but you will quickly learn to 'translate' them into a depiction of real life visuals and movements as you progress through the series -- because the style is representational of real life features and consistent. These things go hand-in-hand with the nature of the medium. We never get to actually see Anakin fall to the Dark Side, but the hints are strong enough to let us fill in the details between the end of The Clone Wars and events of A New Hope. We don't necessarily need everything explained, do we? Some things can just be left up to imagination -- and tend to work better that way. The moment old Obi-Wan says "Droid? Don't seem to recall ever owning a droid," (and the fact that he doesn't recognise R2) is still a bit awkward in A New Hope after watching The Clone Wars, but it can be attributed to Obi-Wan never having much fondness for droids, and to the extremely long time passing since he's last seen R2D2 (many other droids have come and gone since) leading to him not connecting the dots straight away. We never find out what happened to Ahsoka after her departure. Her later life is left open to (fan fiction and) interpretation. What You Don't Need to See: The Clone Wars feature film, and any episode not listed here. Treat them as goofy bonus content, fun to watch, and not a part of the main series. The prequel or sequel trilogy of films. I sincerely recommend you avoid them entirely. The truly light-hearted, kids' TV show called Rebels. Download (Printable Version): The Clone Wars Guide.pdf

1 pointI have serious issues with Apeiron in general, especially the progress of its development over the past three years and its online "presence," if you like. I think it's only fair for me to disclose that bias first thing. With that made clear, though, I have a deep distaste for the way the project has thus far seemingly been managed, and absolutely with how it's been conveyed to the fanbase at large, which I believe I would still have even without this accumulated bias. You say that the project lead is the one to speak to about these issues, but you are the first Apeiron volunteer that I have ever communicated with on any forum (to my knowledge, at any rate). I was on the subreddit the day that Apeiron was announced, and I still see every thread that passes through the sub as part and parcel of being a mod. Every Apeiron topic ever posted has only had fans in it to speak on the team's behalf, and the overwhelming majority of those fans have genuinely and innocently pushed the narrative that Apeiron is a mod which is free from C&D threat from any rights-holder. They've believed what you've said, and it's all so much empty words. I don't hold you to blame for this personally, or hold any ill-will towards you or even the idea of KOTOR being remade. My problems are twofold: a complete lack of communication on any channels which aren't dominated by Apeiron fans, and what is--in my view--the deliberate and continued misinformation that Apeiron will be legally treated as a mod. In defense of your team, I should have stepped forward with these issues myself a long time ago, but in my own defense I had (and still have) zero faith that the project will ever see the light of day, in all honesty. With that said, I still find the lack of communication outside of Apeiron-dominated channels disturbing, and the misinformation downright distasteful. Now that it seems that at least some elements of your team are attempting to be more communicative with other parts of the community, I think it would be to both of our benefits if these issues were addressed. I've made unpleasant claims about the Apeiron team's work, including about its overall competency to bring the project to fruition. Many have taken this to be unreasonable hostility on my part, but having been involved with indie development in the past, what I've seen thus far seems to me simply to be a reflection of the same lack of available volunteers that laid my own project to waste. Contrary to those who assume I'm simply hostile for the sake of being hostile, however, I would love to be proven wrong; I have simply never been put in the position of being able to ask questions of a developer before without going out of my way. I don't know how to contact your director, so if you could pass on to him my sincere hope that he would consider immediately removing the mod portion of the FAQ on your website, it would immediately alleviate many of my concerns about how Apeiron has portrayed itself thus far. If you would be further willing to request that he get in touch with me here or on reddit, I would love to coordinate an AMA with your team and the subreddit as a whole. Much of the trouble that exists thus far, I feel, stems from the perception that your team is uncommunicative and intentionally misleading your fans; if both of these misconceptions could be clarified through engagement, it would go a long way indeed toward engaging the remainder of the community with the project. Finally, because most of this post has been presumptuous on my part and I'm well-aware of it, I do want to say again that I don't wish you or any member of your team any ill will. If I'm being entirely honest I still have serious questions about the project, your team's capabilities, etc., but that's why I want to open a dialogue regarding it. I have been incredibly hostile toward the project in the past, but, again, I would love to be proven wrong and to find out this has all been a large misunderstanding on my part. If you all are willing to have an open dialogue, I'm very willing to change my views.

1 pointSo, it seems it still works. Up to @DarthVarkor to determine if it's easy enough to use, though

1 pointShow me a legitimate, proffesional, non-terrible developer, with any kind of experience, willing to work on a project this complex for free. I'm very interested in hiring that person. edit; by developer I mean a programmer who can do any kind of gameplay stuff. DP did a good job of explaining what they should have done first, but that'd require apeiron team to know anything about game development. also making levels without a gameplay isn't just useless, it's a complete waste of time. You just can't design a level without knowing how the game behaves, how good your path finding is, how your AI behaves and so on.

0 pointsNo news is no news. Locking this thread. No more update questions. If/when Logan returns to work on this mod, I'm sure he'll let everyone know.

0 pointsIt's nice to see one member of the team trying to address these persistent issues as no one else has even tried to. I have been blocked of off streams in the past questioning them about some of these details. I do feel that the website needs to be updated though. The amount of people claiming the project to be 100% legal or the people that say lucasarts gave them permission (even though lucasarts no longer exists 🤣) is ridiculous. I for one think sniggs idea is great and that your team should at the bare minimum have some dialogue with the fans of Kotor. Obviously this is not your fault @Minimpoun as you are new to the team. But the underlying issues are still present
