Peragus Tweak 1.4

 

DESCRIPTION:

I was playing through Peragus and wondering why so many people want to skip through it and forget it. It's really a nice place, and it's too bad that some consider it to be quite a chore. I set out to make a mod that would remedy this problem. I don't know if I've succeeded quite yet at this point, but I think ultimately this is a good start

 

This mod adds a bit of content to the collection of modules you currently know as Peragus. The changes are

as follows:

 

- Random tan corpses have been replaced with actual dead miners.

   + Non important characters have randomized appearances.

   + Security, Administrator, Med, Dock officers have individual corpses.

   + Coorta and thugs have individual corpses

   + Miners in the dormitories now match their appearances in the holorecords.

 

INSTALLATION:

Use the TSLPatcher. I'm sorry for the awkward installation procedure, but it's the best way I could figure out to make it work without... you know, redoing EVERYTHING. That will come for the next version of course. As it turns out, it'd just be easier to patch the .git... sigh.

 

UNINSTALLATION:

navigate to the backup folder and place the contents into the Modules folder. This should overwrite the modded .rims with the originals

Released

Added a fix where the dock officer in the dormitories would not appear (an egregious mistake). Many thanks to @sEcOnDbOuToFiNsAnItY

TSLpatcher gave me this "Error: Destination file "Modules\103PER.mod" does not exist at the specified location!

 

what am I doing wrong? :/

Excellent! This, together with Dark Peragus, goes a long way to creating an excellent sensation of survival horror. Thanks for sharing!

 

There's one corpse as you enter the dormitories (if my memory serves), however which doesn't spawn lying down. Instead it's standing up stiffly in the t-pose, without the miner uniform equipped. The mod installed without errors, so I doubt it's something there that went wrong. Since it only affects one single corpse, it's not a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it.

Heya Varsity, I was hoping you could help me with an issue I'm currently having with this particular mod. I like the idea as I have an eye for detail and I just -hated- seeing those awful generic tan corpses everywhere on Peragus, so naturally I wanted to install this thing asap. I took a look at the RCM compatibility page ( http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/393-mod-compatibility-list-for-tslrcm-183/ ) just to be sure I can use your tweak alongside it, and it was listed among the mods that are compatible.

 

Thing is, it's also listed down the page as being incompatible. I figured that's because it was in a bundle and not on its own, and that you edited it in order to be compatible with the RCM, so I downloaded the mod on this page. I did install everything correctly, and the miners changed to being in regular human corpses in miner uniforms like you said they'd be; problem is, only the ones that can be looted ( like the corpse with the new Vibrocutter on it, or the security officer's corpse ) are now ingame, all the other "decorative" ones that can't be selected/looted have disappeared.

 

I got no errors during the installation procedure so I don't know what's wrong D: it's possible that it's conflicting with another mod I'm using, but I doubt it, as none of them modify Peragus extensively, let alone the corpses. It's just something that really annoys me, and I hope you can help me solve this thing soon, if you can. If you need any more information, send me a PM and I'll let you know what you need to know. 

 

Thank you at any rate for your work on TSLRCM and your other mods, you guys really deserve the praise you receive. ^_^

I keep getting an error with the TSL patchers, keeps saying it can't actually find the modules for the Peragus levels that this mod tries to alter. Do I need to have already played the tutorial/prologue for them to appear in the files, or would it be conflicting with another mod? I have Peragus OTE, TSLRCM and Darker Peragus installed.

I'm also having the issue where the corpse in the morgue can't be looted. I have TSLRCM (1.8.4) and I'm using the 1.3 version of this mod. I also got the "Error: Destination file "Modules\103PER.mod" does not exist at the specified location!" message when I installed it, so I installed it manually for good measure, I don't know if it's related.

 

All that aside I love the idea of this mod and what I've seen in the first few rooms looks so much better than vanilla.

I get a lot of errors in the dormitary level, with a few floating bodies standing upright, and those are ones that I'm supposed to be able to loot I guess it selects their head....

great mod, but i got an issue where corpse get the wrong loot :/ Coorta, for exemple doesnt have his blaster on his corpse, and in the jekk'jekk tarr pit, the corpse wich usually give the keycard to open the security door (only way to leave the pit) only give a security tuneler... so im stuck... I also found out that EVERY corpse in the game is affected by this mod, so dead miner are everywhere... I tried reinstalling the mod after reinstalling my game, but that didn't change anything... Please mate, gotta help me ! :o

You know what would be a great addition to this? An "Xbox Restoration" version that undoes the PC port's... questionable choice of replacing the upgradeable vibroblades that are supposed to be there with non-upgradeable vibrocutters.😡

Something odd that happened that I do think might have to do with this mod is weirdness of one of the fire suppressors migrating from the edge of the room where it's supposed to be, to the middle.

I'm having an issue with this mod where in a couple of places I can't view the holo-logs. The journal still updates as if I read them but when I click on them to watch them it just logs me out of the console. This happened with the maintenance console in Peragus and with the Medical lab console on the Harbinger. Any idea how to fix this?

I had an issue with being unable to access the corpse in the morgue and so I could not get the plasma torch.  Restoring the backed up 101PER.mod solved that.
