DESCRIPTION:

Ever since I first played TSL and recruited Visas, I wondered if there was a way to remove her headdress. This became a mysterious sort of obsession for me. Up until recently, when I acquired some decent modeling skills, it was an impossible feat. But with some new discoveries concerning Kotor models (and alot of help from RedRob, skinning Visas' damaged eyes and pretty much everything above her nose) I bring you, Visas Unmasked!

For some ridiculous reason, Visas cannot equip headgear: a devious plot hatched by the game developers no doubt. There is no way to bypass this effectively - nothing short of changing her tag and recompiling a TON of scripts is going to ever fix this.

INSTALL:

Click and run the TSLPatcher. For compatibility reasons, try installing this mod last (after TSLRCM for sure). The reason I say this is because it modifies her character file in a complex, yet fully compatible way. I just don't trust other people's mods to do the same.

UNINSTALL:

A backup should be generated after you install the mod. If you ever need to reinstall, you need this.

BUGS: You can't equip headgear on Visas. This is hardcoded.

PERMISSION:

You may use this mod as you see fit. Display it in screenshots, make it compatible with your mod. However, do please give credit where it's due, and DO NOT release it with any of your mods without my permission. Thanks.

Oh, wow, I love this! But I can't seem to get it to work. Installer finishes without errors, but her new head doesn't appear in-game (but now equipped robes appear). Does this need to be installed before meeting her for the first time or something? I did as you asked and installed the mod last (I don't have many mods to begin with, but TSLRCM at least).

probably a dumb question but which do you download the update or final?

And if they did, they needed to not have Visas as a party member when they downloaded the final and update. Go to when you fight Visas. After that it should work.

That makes sense. I installed it after Visas joined my party in my first playthrough, so I could change her outfit and such, but before I started a new game I wanted to know if she was permanently unmasked or not.

Ahh I see. Yeah she will receive the shroud item when she joins the party.

If you want to get the item I think it’s

giveitem visasshroud

I believe the description should be modified because the "you cannot equip headgear" thing is quite misleading. It gives an impression which the mask of Visas is permanently removed and she cannot equip headgear at all (the headgear slot remains empty).

Turns out this mod converts Visas's mask/headdress into a headgear, which obviously occupy the headgear slot. i.e. You cannot equip headgear when Visas has her headdress on.

Suggestion:

1. Clearly state that in the description.

2. Add some stat bonus (e.g. DEX) to Visas's headdress, to compassionate the effect

Unless I am mistaken you should be able to re-equip her face covering. The cheat code is "giveitem visasshroud" this will allow you to swap between the vanilla Visas with face covering and the modded uncovered face. This might save some hassle of trying to uninstall, alternatively, you could try deleting p_visas.utc & visasbed.utc from the override, thereby the game will return to utilizing the vanila appearance. I think.

You were right, the shroud didn't work for some reason, maybe is something broken but i delete the files you mention and now Visas looks vanilla version. Thank you so much!! You already helped me with another mod, you deserve all the beers man!!
