djh269 Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Hello, I've noticed that the stealth texture is very different than what it was on the Xbox, you were actually INVISIBLE, not this disgusting excuse for invisibility: K1 K2 To me it looks like an energy shield texture. Is there any fix for this? Quote
DarthParametric Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Looks like a shader issue with your GPU. The stealth effect works fine for me on the Steam version. Are you running integrated graphics? Quote

Extreme apologies for not replying sooner!!! I'm sorry I don't know how to check that out. I have this as my PC information: Processor: AMD A8_4555M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.60 GHz Installed Memory: 8.00 GB (7.19 GB Usable) System type: 64-bit operating System, x64-based processor. Squall Lionhart Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Integrated graphics have a really hard time running frame buffer effects. Intel actually can't use render them at all. A dedicated GPU from AMD or Nvidia can run these effects better. If you can, I suggest getting either a 1050 ti or RX 470. Then your game experience will be so much better. Quote
djh269 Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 What kind of PC would you recommend? I keep hearing people say that you should play KOTOR with an old PC. But should I then use the RX 470 as a graphics card? I honestly thought this issue was to do with Steam haha. Not because of my PC. Quote

Which PC doesn't really matter as long as it has a dedicated graphics card and not an integrated one. That you need an old PC is just wrong. I play KotOR without issues on my Windows 10 with a GTX 1080 and you currently can't get much newer than that. 1 Quote

Sith Holocron Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 You might want to figure out your budget first. After that, people might be able to provide suggestions on what PC you might look into. 1 Quote
djh269 Posted May 14, 2017 Author Posted May 14, 2017 Around £2000 ($2500). This won't be til the end of summer though. I am certainly creating a thread/blog about it before I do, I have no idea about setting up computers. Or about graphic cards for that matter. Quote

For that sum you can basically just check what the best available product is and get that without caring for the price^^ Quote

The last time I used a site like that the price was like $22,000 dollars hahaha. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. For that sum you can basically just check what the best available product is and get that without caring for the price^^ I've had my eye on this bad boy for a while: http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=ECC_BUNDLE_6305002&opt=&sel=DTP Although I could swear it was first called a HP Envy.
