  1. I believe it depends on the alignment, not the (logical) decision regarding the Mass Shadow Generator. I did the MSG in my last Dark Side playthrough and I still got the "Malachor survives" ending.
  2. The game uses each party member's skill set when they use the workbench. Even if it was a glitch, I'd have no idea what could possibly cause it because this feature was present in vanilla as well.

    HK-50 Factory Help

Okay, so you know that room with the crank that opens the door to that repair droid that wipes out HK-47's memory and changes some of his protocols to fight the HK-50s? One of the floating maintenance droids from where said repair droid comes has the datapad that you require. Also make sure that you power up the HK-51 terminal; that can be done through the computer right next to the door opening crank.
  4. The motivation for the attack on Khoonda can be found here (the conversation with Vrook when you rescue him and the datapad on the mercenary leader in that cave) https://youtu.be/spVCF1n9s1o?list=PLEWtOfTgRszyQosG_kQlhX1Q22P0ym_HI&t=679 and at 11:46.
  5. I have a save file right before the third planet (which is always Manaan for me). Still worth it?
  6. I actually wasn't kidding, sometimes my KotOR 1 bugs out like that and all I have to do is alt+tab away.
  7. Have you tried pressing either 1 or 2? If that doesn't work, perhaps alt+tab will do the trick.
  8. I've been trying to get the kotor2 website to work for years using the archive. Has anyone had any luck getting the various tabs to work (ex: Game Info)?
  9. I believe Khoonda? I remember there being some weapon models on display in the rodian's shop there.
  10. It's one angle that always quirks me in-game... That rock formation that isn't part of the skybox (so not your fault really) sticks out so much when you actually move in-game. The difference between the rock textures and the skybox is very jarring. In a screenshot you can't really tell, but once you get in-game and you are moving around with that part of the module on camera, it's a whole different story (at least to me).
  11. The only skybox that doesn't really blend that well is Korriban's in the Valley of the Dark Lords, I'd say.
  12. You could try the internet archive.

    Shadow

You're tackling Solomon's Revenge as well? Cool.
  14. What? I didn't mean that literally, what I meant by that is how (at least I) people generally need to loot in RPGs if the option is there. Doesn't matter if it's crap, it annoys me to no end to leave something behind like that. But anyway, the entire Temple of the Ancients is bugged. All of it. Especially the containers, I can list them here if anyone is curious.
  15. After watching a let's play of KotOR 2, I just got reminded of a -VERY- annoying bug present in both games. For some reason, party members sometimes use the inferior version of a feat/Force power when they have the maximum one. For example, for some reason Kreia keeps casting Horror instead of Insanity when she has it. This occurrence exists in KotOR 1 as well. Can something be done about this?
  16. When this mod gets its first release, I can't wait to test it with my "doom" build for the player character.
  17. Not sure I can agree with that. Sand People fights (I choose Tatooine as the first planet to go to) are a lot tougher for me than the late game ever was. It's probably because by the late game, you realise how OP people with Force powers (or Force buffs) are and find no gameplay reason not to bring a party entirely made up of Jedi. Jolee, Juhani and you with buffs powers; you and Jolee stun the waves of enemies as you chop through them. That, and you should have the best gear by that point, possibly combined with a tough build. EDIT: I also remembered the Hulak Wraids on Tatooine as your first planet. That right there is the hardest combat in the game, period (I haven't used ranged characters before against those buggers, so I will try that in my next playthrough). I never intended to change your opinion on the game forcefully, I only wanted to answer at the very least one of your questions (or what I assumed to be questions) with that quote. The video recommendation is unrelated, I personally find that lorerun a wonderful viewing experience.
  18. I find TSL to be an improvement over KotOR 1 in every single way, from the writing to the mechanics. Well, I will use Scorchy's excellent let's play from 2007 to answer that: "[...]protagonist goes searching for his past. What's remarkable about KOTOR 2 is that the plot is only concerned with two things: the Mandalorian War, and the fallout from the Mandalorian War. As such, the game basically takes place 8-10 years ago, and the Exile is just reliving the consequences of it at present. There is no great war right now, no real galactic struggle; there's nothing really driving the Exile onward except his own personal desire to find out what happened to himself." EDIT: Well, I just thought that I should drop this here for you to watch when you have the time:
  19. Ah, doesn't matter to me. I am watching this LP because it's entertaining. Very, uh, interesting stories your co-hosts have...
  20. As much as I prefer the Handmaiden over the Disciple... I think that the Disciple fits more in the story of the female Exile than the Handmaiden, when you take into account the other party member interactions.
  21. That's how it is in vanilla, yes. I guess the idea is that Zuka calls Mandalore on his commlink and the Exile relays his commands or something. *Shrug*
  22. He was asked if the main character could die during the tutorial section on the Ebon Hawk. As you might recall, you have to stabilise the Exile with a medpac.
