Version 1.5
77,300 downloads
WARNING: You must download all seven (7) parts of the BoS 1.0 before trying to unpack them. The unpacker should unpack them all in a row if you start unpacking the .part01.rar file!!! A note about the 1.5 bundled release: The 1.5 bundled release has some bugs fixed, but it is also in preparation for an eventual 2.0 release that will only have 1 installer. This 1.5 release still has both the 1.0 and the 1.1 downloads, so you will need to download both files. Bugs fixed by this bundled release are listed below. This pack includes several fixes for BoS:SR, done by LiliArch. Source files included. Original 1.0 Review from Filefront: Original 1.1 Review from Filefront: -
Visas' Dancer Outfit and Dance View File Visas' Dancer Outfit By Fair Strides Description: This is a small and simple mod that allows Visas Marr to wear the Dancer's Outfit you get on Nar Shaddaa when you dance for Vogga. It will also give you the opportunity to have Visas dance for Vogga just before you will acquire the outfit. Installation: Simply unpack the mod and run the TSLPatcher.exe to select an install option. To get Visas to actually dance for Vogga, you will have to run the install three times; once to allow her to wear the outfit, and two more times to install both parts of the dancing for Vogga sequence. A small warning about making Visas dance for Vogga: this mod is both compatible with TSLRCM and separate from it. In order to make this so, I've added unmodded versions of the levels I edit with this mod, but if you have TSLRCM installed, these unmodded versions won't be installed and they will give off a warning saying that the file already exists. This is harmless and perfectly okay. Uninstallation: Each folder inside the tslpatchdata folder has an info.rtf file that has uninstallation instructions for that particular install option. Permissions: You have my express permission to re-upload this mod wherever, but only on FOUR conditions: 1. You do not change anything whatsoever about it. 2. You do not upload it to the Steam Workshop. This mod and the way it is done is not designed for Steam Workshop's way of installing mods. Files actually need to be patched for this mod to work. 3. You give credit to me as the author of this mod and must leave the read-me included and intact. 4. You do not re-use the resources/files involved in compatibility with Varsity Puppet's "Visas Unmasked!" mod. If you wish to do so, you must contact Varsity Puppet at Lucasforums or Deadlystream, and he must say yes for you to use them! Credits: -loseryoda from the KotOR Sub-reddit for making the request in the first place, even if I have gone a little bit beyond what he was requesting... -Varsity Puppet for allowing me to use parts of his Visas Unmasked installer to make the compatibility option. K1R - Bugs and Saves Needed
Fair Strides replied to Fair Strides's topic in KotOR1 Restoration (K1R)
I'm sorry. I can't find where right now, but I recall saying that someone else had already provided me with the saves I needed to look at the issues. -
In that case, on the KSE download page, look on the right side for previous versions. When you mouse over the 3.3.5 version, you should have one icon/image appear that looks sort of like a download icon. Click that, and you should download the 3.3.5 version of KSE. Perhaps that one will help you out. (The later versions were just the .ini file and trying to cooperate with Steam's cloud saves for KotOR 2...)
-
In that case, I'll sum it up: Run the "-2ini -pdisc.bat" if you have and use a disc version of either game. If the disc version isn't found, it'll default to the Steam version (for example, disc version of KotOR 1 and Steam version of KotOR 2 would be done if you didn't have the disc version of KotOR 2). Otherwise, run "-2ini.bat". Then try to run KSE (since you should now have a kse.ini file)
-
Try following the instructions in the KPF_Readme.txt to run the proper .bat file. See if the issue appears then. If it does, I'll help you bypass the need to run that program. If it does not the issue would be with the KSE_337.exe and I will then endeavour to help you more.
-
Okay, if you haven't already, I recommend downloading and installing this: http://www.7-zip.org/a/7z1512.exe After that's installed, you would go to where you downloaded this program and right-click the download. You should see an option called "7-zip" with an arrow pointing off to the right; another section will appear when you go to that option. You will want to select "Extract Files..." and then click "Ok" in the next window. You should then have a folder near the download's file. You would go into there and double-click the kse_337a.exe file. If any of the above doesn't work, then I would recommend listing every file in the folder for me, please.

Not to mention, if that is anything more than implied sexual content, then so is Visas' meditation scene in TSLRCM, wrestling with Handmaiden in her undies, Davik's slave's massage, and a million other things. Just think about how bad Fable's "Graphic sexual content" must be if you took out the black screen... Besides, TDCJ, you're 14; by your own logic, you probably shouldn't be involved in it either, but who am I to tell you what games to play and what content to do? Hmm... For that matter, who are you to do the same?
-
Do I really need to point out the odds of getting a remastered version of either game? Just because Haveayap used the words "more likely to get" does not mean "Oh, it's definitely going to happen and our odds are more than 5%." And why would a fan project be taken down? Hmm... Copyright issues, permission issues, potential EULA issues depending on how they're doing it, financial issues, opening their big mouths and Disney/EA/Bioware figuring out about the project and letting upper management deal with it? Oh, and just because they have a ModDB page doesn't mean they're all that "legit". Unless they had written and signed permission or a contract from Disney or EA, they're only legit until they get shut-down. And to stop the upcoming comparison, there is a big difference from a fan project to make a game and a TC mod. A game triggers the idea that it will be sold for profit using someone else's resources. A mod can't be sold for profit (in the KotOR communities, anyways) and if they try to shut-down a mod, they have to acknowledge KotOR Modding, which Bioware hardly allows on their own servers...

Having some problems with Revan's Jedi Robe mod
Fair Strides replied to Golselect's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Here: changes.7z Try taking the changes.ini file from that download and putting it into the tslpatchdata folder of the unpacked mod and then running the installer. -

The installlog.rtf is in the same place where you ran the mod's installer from. -

The other items don't change the appearance. If you still have your installlog.rtf file, can you please upload it as an attachment or to mediafire and post the link here? -
K1&TSL on DX11 + better graphics?
Fair Strides replied to batu222's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Without watching the video, all I can say is that we don't edit the .dll or .exe files, so we can't actually change the stuff on a technical level like that. -
I'd expect people to grow brains, read Thomas Paine's "Common Sense", and learn that the commercials always lie... Then again, I've been expecting that for at least the past decade...

Bugged game and not sure of the reason...
Fair Strides replied to Kreia4life's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
I'm the current developer of KSE, and while I've added support for Cloud Saves, I am very adverse to the Workshop as a medium for KotOR mods due to the Workshop's lack of proper mod installation given KotOR's way of modding. -
My biggest gripe honestly isn't about dumb content so much as all the content... It annoys and irritates me to no end the massive hype-train Disney has set up with all the Ep. 7 articles and merchandise. I've purposely avoided all but two trailers and most of the Ep 7 threads on here, but there is no way to avoid seeing all the merchandise at the stores. Why the heck would you go out and buy all the merchandise to a character or movie you know nothing about before the movie is even out to be watched, when you haven't even seen the movie or know whether you'll even like the character/movie in question? That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of, no matter how you try to rationalize it...
-
And I've just updated the K1R install. There were numerous delays, so make sure you download the most current one.

Small typo by me in the changes.ini for both the Full and Ultimate versions... Forgot the "i" at the end. I'm uploading a fixed version. You will have to reinstall the K1 mod for the lightsabers and the K2 mod for the changes to Mandalore's Armor, but you don't have to start over. You would need to get rid of and re-acquire the lightsabers in K1 to get the new changes and use a save from before acquiring Mandalore in K2 to get the changes.

Have you tried restarting your computer after doing the registry changes?
-
In that case, save yourself some trouble and go the the main LucasArts entry that has TSL in it, right-click the LucasArts entry and select "Export". Then give it a name, like "TSL_Reg", and save this file. After that, back it up somewhere or email it to yourself. You can later launch this .reg file and "merge" it's data with your windows registry whenever you re-install TSL.

Okay, I just had this issue myself yesterday (funny how that works), but it only happened after I renamed my KotOR 2 folder and then erased the in KT's "Manage Paths..." window and restarted KT... Do you have both games installed, are your registry entries up-to-date (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bioware and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts for 32-bit computers, but HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Bioware and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\LucasArts for 64-bit computers), and that both paths in KT match the paths on your system?
