Have to fix some of the Rodian VO, but other than that I'm done. -

Excellent, thank you. Looks like I'm good to go, everything seems to be working. It's simpler than i thought it would be. -
Leviathan Diffrentiated Dialogue
Revanator replied to Revanator's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Sorry, I still have a couple questions. I use the conversation editor in KT, right? And what file do I edit, since I don't have to edit dialogue.tlk? -
Leviathan Diffrentiated Dialogue
Revanator replied to Revanator's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
So all I need to do is edit the dialogue.tlk file with my added lines, and use those as the pointer scripts for the availability of those lines (besides setting the dialogue trees)? -
Leviathan Diffrentiated Dialogue
Revanator replied to Revanator's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
For some reason, they're not in the scripts.bif section of KotOR Tool. Not under compiled or source. -
The Leviathan is one of my favorite parts in KotOR, but one of the things that always bothered me was the lack of unique dialogue based on the party member you choose to use to break your PC, Bastila, and Carth out. There are only a few instances where that dialogue comes into play (mainly with the captured Rodian) but (as an example) there should be some pretty stark differences between HK-47's and Mission's reactions and responses. My idea was to use scripts based on the one that the game uses to identify Carth's response to getting free ("You may only be a droid, but when all this is over, I'm going to see that you get a medal for your part in this.", "If you keep getting us out of scrapes, there might be a place in the Republic Army for you, even if you are a Mandalorian.", etc. (paraphrases but you get the idea). I would use the scripts to identify which party member is the one speaking, and it would check in the appropriate part of the dialogue.tlk file, which I would modify to have all 5 possible party member's dialogue. Problem is, I'm new to scripting, and could use a hand in working this out. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be really grateful.

K1R 1.2 Impressions and Bug-Reports [READ ME FIRST]
Revanator replied to Fair Strides's topic in KotOR1 Restoration (K1R)
Here's the one right before facing Ceeiia. 000006 - Game5.7z EDIT: After playing through the pazaak tournament twice more, it appears that the glitch only happens if you actually play the pazaak game with CS-82. If you repair or reprogram him, the tournament progresses normally. However, if you are forced to play him due to low skills or failed checks, you can't progress. -
Gotta love CollegeHumor.

K1R 1.2 Impressions and Bug-Reports [READ ME FIRST]
Revanator replied to Fair Strides's topic in KotOR1 Restoration (K1R)
Unfortunately not right now. My previous save was at the beginning of the tourney, and while I'm working to get back to Ceeiia, it's slow going. XD I do have a save right after I beat CS-82 though. You can have that while I work on procuring the other.000005 - Game4.7z -
K1R 1.2 Impressions and Bug-Reports [READ ME FIRST]
Revanator replied to Fair Strides's topic in KotOR1 Restoration (K1R)
Okay, so I had a nice, long, full bug report all typed out and then I accidentally clicked out of this page and lost it all. So I'll be back with that later, since you probably need it. Suffice to say, I've found a game-breaking bug in the pazaak tournament. After I defeat CS-82 and talk to the announcer, he says, "We have an update in the standings! Ethan has defeated k1r_cs82 leaving 0 of last year's top 5 in the tournament!" Everyone lines up like they should at the end of the tournament. However, when I try to talk to Skirata, it says I'm not ready to face him yet. I can't talk to the announcer, and everyone I can talk to acts like it's the middle of the tourney. I've got a lot of mods installed, but all of them SHOULD be fully K1R compatible...(90% are listed on DS as such, and the few others modify very small things that K1R doesn't touch). I'll be back with that list later, but for now, I'll just give you some basics. Yes, I did a fresh install of K1R 1.2 over a fresh install of KotOR on my PC. I have the Steam version and I use Windows 10 pro. -
View File Custom Party Portraits (Note for veteran modders/admins: I used images from official Star Wars sources (concept art, KotOR screenshots, etc. wherever possible. However, I used several custom images create by other fans, that, as far as I know (I did look) are free for my use. If this is in violation of some Deadly Stream rule I'm not aware of, please delete this (you'd do it whether or not I said that, I know) and let me know.) A Knights of the Old Republic mod. Name: Custom Party Portraits Author: Revanator Release Date: 6/9/16 Contact: ethan.wookie@gmail.com, or message me on the Deadly Stream forums. Description: This is my first full mod (yay!). I've done some personal modding before (utis, 2das, textures, and even one model) but nothing that could really be considered a full mod. Anyway, this is my first release, so it might be a bit clunky. What I've done is create 3 separate types of new party portraits for you all to enjoy. Note: NOT ALL PARTY MEMBERS HAVE A PORTRAIT OF ALL 3 TYPES, though all 10 are represented here in some form. The "Base Portraits" folder contains the 7 portraits I considered a direct upgrade from the default ones. Bastila, Carth, Mission, Jolee, HK, T3, and Zaalbar are the ones included. Trask, Juhani, and Canderous were not, as I couldn't find a good image that I thought was a direct enough upgrade for everyone. The "Alternate Portraits" folder contains a new portrait for everyone (save Trask), but were not ones that I considered to be a "direct upgrade" as they are all more to various artistic tastes. For example, Canderous' portrait is one of his younger self, so I wasn't positive that everyone would want to update with it. Regardless, they are all there for you to use if you so wish. The "In-Game Renders" folder is just that - portraits taken for in-game screen shots. There is 1 for all party members (except T3, since his appearance doesn't change much from the art to the game render) in this folder. This is mostly for people who don't like the concept art pulled for the others. I highly recommend updating Trask's picture with the one found here, as it IS a direct upgrade, though I decided to include it in this folder with the other renders. Installation: Simply choose which portraits you'd like from the 3 folders and drop them into the override folder (obviously only 1 per character will work). Uninstallion: Delete the files from override. Compatibilty: Fully compatible with any other mod that does not edit the party portraits (obviously) though any custom PC portraits will be fine. Usage: Feel free to download and use however you like. Just give me credit if you make any other mods using this one. Credits: BioWare and LucasArt for KotOR, Shem for the inspiration for how to put this together. This mod is provided as is, and I am not responsible for any damage done to your computer from this mod's use, nor is this create by BioWare, etc, etc. I don't have a real screenshot, but it should be pretty easy to download the file and look for yourself. These are simply tgas, nothing fancy. The provided image is Jolee concept art that was used in one of my Jolee portraits. Submitter Revanator Submitted 06/09/2016 Category Skins K1R Compatible

I'm in the process of taking some very nice KotOR party drawings from Google Images (concept art/some stuff from other people) and updating my K1 party portraits with them. I know I probably can't upload them here, but I thought i'd check in case I'm pleasantly surprised.

Best Sith Lord in KotOR/TSL
Revanator replied to Darth Nihilus's Mask's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
If we're not including Revan, since he's only a Sith in flashbacks in the game (assuming you take the canonical path, and even if you don't, he's the PC) then Malak is my favorite. I loved the guy. On the surface, he seems like a cliche cackling evil guy, but he's really much deeper than that. His motivations always felt very real to me, and I always got the impression that he was tired of living under Revan's wing. He was always "Revan's sidekick". Malak was a brilliant tactician, but Revan is considered by many to be one of the greatest in galactic history (pretty much only him and Thrawn up for the title). He was a great warrior, but Revan was one of the most powerful Force-users in galactic history. I always felt a lot of sympathy for him once you defeat him at the end. It was beautifully written and his last words were very poignant. I also really loved in TOR, when you defeat Revan Reborn in the Imperial flashpoint, he quotes Malak's last words before disappearing in a flash of light ("And in the end, as the darkness takes me, I am...nothing. Now I know how you felt...old friend.") I also really like Darth Nihilus, and not only because he's friggin awesome. I love his story and the mystery surrounding him. Sion is great too. He has one of the best character designs and is very intimidating, even while remaining vulnerable and relatable. And while I'm personally not a huge fan of Traya, I do recognize her as one of the best fictional characters of all time, and I do respect her. That's one of the things that made the KotOR games so strong: excellent villains. Even the more minor ones are memorable and fun; Calo Nord, Davik, Tobin, Azkul, Bandon, Brejik, G0-T0, Uthar, Luxa, etc. -

KotOR keeps crashing after every cutscene...it seems like a common problem, but I have yet to find a fix. Help?
-
Hmm, never had that issue. I suggest you do as the others suggested too and make a thread for your issue

Windows 10 pro. The game runs mostly fine (screen goes black after all cutscenes but alt+tab fixes it) without the widescreen mods. I uninstalled all my other mods to try and fix this. No .ini files have been modified, no.

It' nothing new. I have a nice gaming laptop that I'd love to play KotOR on, preferably in 1920x1080. Unfortunately for me, FlawlessWidescreen never works, Universal Widescreen won't let me set my resolution (the boxes where you set it aren't text boxes, I can't click into them) and the mod I'd been using is now crashing my game. So, recommendations on how to get a widescreen resolution into my game? I'd welcome a new solution, or some help getting these others to work. Maybe I did miss something in my months of research. Thanks in advance.
