    As @DeadMan stated, don't extract the .mdl and .mdx files. I can confirm it works perfectly on Kotor 2 using his method.

    Thank you for this. One of my saves became corrupt, so I was able to (somewhat) continue my game using your saves. This is a great idea, and much appreciated.
