  1. I wasn't actually going to swap those two particular models. I just used that as an example of the sort of thing I was trying to do.
  2. 1. I assume you mean Steam Workshop, in which case no. 2. I think that most to all of my edits involved multiple entries, so that's probably not the problem.
  3. Evidently I'm doing something quite wrong, because after several tests, I have not managed to change anything in-game. What I did was open up KOTOR Tool and the 2da editor. I then made changes to and saved the appearance.2da file found in the Override folder (since I couldn't find any others). No effects observed in-game, even when they pretty clearly SHOULD have been. Ideas?
  4. I mostly like Kaidon Jorn's SLM mod... but when it adds a boss that can heal >300 health with one Death Field cast, and sometimes casts it twice in a round, it gets to be a bit much...

      Yeah, it adds several bosses that are waaaaay more powerful than anything you encounter ingame, which feels totally out of place to me.

      I found one way to work around it... incapacitate the OP bosses using mod-added Force powers that can't be resisted ;)

  5. If you just want sheer combat power, there's no beating Guardian/Marauder with attributes going only into Strength and Constitution. Also, I believe a popular (more balanced) combination is Consular/Marauder/Weapon Master.
  6. All right. This would be done using KOTOR Tool, or something else? And is there some fairly convenient way to check to see what class a particular item would be?
  7. TSL soundtrack is definitely inferior to K1's, but there are some pretty good themes. While it's definitely not great, the Enclave sublevel theme from Dantooine really grew on me in my last playthrough.
  8. Is there anyone here who could guide me through the process of changing out the model for particular items of clothing/armor (e.g. Combat Suit model to Clothing model)?
  9. I like "The Unknown Regions" for Other Games and "Hrakert Station" for General Modding. I also like having "Davik's Estate", but not so sure about it being mod releases.

  11. One might argue that it already wasn't worth much, considering the fact that there's a new de facto Empire in the same position of power just thirty years later. It especially makes the Prophecy seem to be pretty darn pointless, given that the balance in the Force lasted less time than it took to fulfill the prophecy... Pity that he was so underused in TSL then. I think that fact that he only appears in one cutscene (plus one or two more in TSLRCM) and then there's the boss fight with him, but that's it, really undermined my general opinion of him.
  12. If Snoke does not turn out to actually be an entirely separate character, I will probably completely give up on the new trilogy.
  13. We should come up with "evidence" that would prove that Snoke is really HK-47. (...but seriously? Obi-Wan Kenobi? What the heck?)
  14. Heh, at one point I actually thought that Episode III was called "The Last of the Jedi," probably because it would have corresponded brilliantly with "Return of the Jedi" in Episode VI. Speaking of which, it's kinda depressing to have "The Last Jedi" be just two episodes after that title... As for the title itself - meh, another title that I don't like the sound of from the new trilogy, but I'm not exactly surprised. I get more and more cynical of it as the months go by...
  15. In the back of the K1 manual, there is a little table which shows how much your alignment score changes from your actions, based on how light or dark both you and your actions are.

Okay, so right now I'm interested in doing a little personal project that involves replacing certain models/textures for various items of clothing/armor by making them instead appear as a different clothing/armor item from elsewhere in the game. For an example of what I'm talking about, check out this mod. Can somebody tell me if this can be accomplished relatively easily, and if so, how to go about doing it? Primarily interested in doing this for K2.
  20. If I was a part of this, I would prefer to keep my anonymity as well. I can never tell what effect anything on the internet might have on my future (especially if I'm trying to get jobs, for instance), which is why I have made sure to keep my gaming persona and my real-life identity separated to all but my real-life family and friends, and a couple other people who I trust to keep confidentiality.
  21. Part of my opinion on the two games' soundtracks also comes from the fact that I'm a soundtrack collector, and on their own, the difference is quite noticeable to me.
  22. Not even going to bother arguing with you. For me, most of the TSL music is just boring, and annoying after a while, and there's way too much repetition of the same themes. Obviously we have quite different gaming styles.
