  1. There are currently two files of the same name available for download, both named "High Quality Blasters 1.1.zip". One is 23.7mb, the other 23.71mb. They differ in only one file, the first one has a "~$Info.rtf" file, and the second one the correct "Info.rtf". So I'd guess you downloaded the wrong one by mistake. When installing the second version on my game, it put out a single warning that some file doesn't exists, but that could be a problem on my end.
  2. Hello, I am using Linux and therefore Wine to play the game (I don't own the Steam version), with your great mod, but I recently encountered a few problems with the installer used. I searched for the possibility of a manual install, using an archive for example, but there is none as far as I could see. I couldn't find anything on the matter here in the forums or elsewhere either. So, I would like to now whether it would be possible to release the modification in a way that would allow me to copy the files directly into the main directory of the game, since that is apparently the only thing the installer really does? Thanks and have a nice day.
  3. Awesome! And awful! I've installed K1R 0.9 just yesterday and planned to start another play-through today... and now I can reinstall everything. On Linux with Wine... But I'm sure it's worth it. Thank you very much for your ongoing efforts.
  4. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who thought being unable to free the Ithorian while Slusk is still alive is stupid. At that point in my last playthrough, I even reloaded an older save and killed Slusk too, just to free him. I also didn't like the factory, though I don't hate it. It just felt weird and out of place there at the end of the game, but the dialogue was pure gold.
  5. A nice guide with loads of useful information combined in one place, thank you. The part about the re-rendering of the movies for better widescreen support could be better though. First of all, a few of the movies don't have to be touched at all, since they've been replaced by in-game cutscences by TSLRCM (for example ScnMov01.bik; Visas talking with her master). You can find an exact list somewhere in the changelogs. Skipping those videos will speed up the entire process significantly. Also, most of the movies actually have a different format than the desired resolution. 1920x1080 equals 16:9, but the movies have all sorts of formats: 4:3, 16:9 and 2,35:1. So, simply re-encoding them to 16:9 will stretch the image. This can be solved by cropping the video files first (in the negative or positive), and then re-encode them at a higher resolution. Cropping can be done with the RAD Video Tools as well, by the way.
