I tried some new kind of texture animations on Manaan, the latest one is basically a slowly moving transparent one -> the colors are determined by the cubemap and when you turn your head ingame, they change: In contrary, same animation, but texture based, = shiny background, but no change of color: another one with RETRO look: and the old Manaan 2.0 version: Tell me guys what do you want to see in the next update??

Hey reading that i have an idea: What if you slow down the camera only shortly before the opponent gets hit with an lighsaber to super-slow mo, and immediately after back to normal, and give him only a few hitpoints - that way the fight appears action oriented, almost matrix style like and short. Additionally you could add e.g. a lightsaber parry and force abilities like Force Push in slow-mo etc..

i dont know if its possible, but what would be cool is to see the fight i a different perspective, e.g. with a camera rotating around the scene and then seeing NPC1 charging NPC 2 in Slow-Mo... Xuul has lots of experiences with the the camera now, so you could ask him as well as Fair Strides scripting wise if sth. like this could be realised?

Hm. Are you sure? There are lots of RPGs/Hybrids out there, and its true that today story depth and with that a big chunk of atmosphere is often sacrificed for flashy effects & a "epic" story -> Dragon Age Inquisition... but there are gems out there, the brightest one being Witcher 3, which combines Old-School with todays technical solutions. If you havent played that one, i would only say this: if the upcoming Enhanced Edition with all DLCs would be the first game to reach the top mark in the tests, it would be well deserved. -

My favorite TV quote is from Theodor Bagwell from Prison Break: The scene is about finding the buried money, where T-Bag says to Michael (who has a plan for everything): "And how you gonna find it? What, you got a divining rod tatooed on your ass? (und wie willst du den Schatz finden? Hast du dir etwa eine Wünschelrute auf den Arsch tätowiert?) I watched it in German, and it was just so unexpected and hilarious! -
Yes! Fair Strides comment gave me an idea: if the logo tex is displayed on front and back, then why doing things the hard way? So i simply changed names - animation is now on LZA_win01 and the logo invisible: As you see, the size & coloring is fine now, however, despite i made the tex glowing, it appears way to dark?

Hi, doing some sith textures on Korriban, but got weird black frames on my animation: Note that the upper left part is displayed normal. I guess that the error might come from the glass background - does someone know which texture that is and/or how to get the problem solved?

Here is an unorthodox idea to make the game much harder: In the request thread, I posted an observation when roaming through Kotor Tool a while ago - under bonus feat there was "Automatic Quicken Spell", a feat that eclipses the 1 round waiting after an attack. I don't know if that feat is a relic of Neverwinter Nights, and I don't care either - but needless to say that it would open revolutionary possibilities in combat. Imagine real time attacks from player and attacker , much more diversity in combat if only given to extraordinary opponents like Nihilus, Malak.... I really would love to see this happen, as I'm sure a whole bunch of new gameplay/balancing mod would come after immediately. -

Just checked that spot ingame - nope, theres no edge - it also seems that the blue pattern in your floor texture is nonreflective/way to dark. It should use CM too and subtly changes from lighter blue to silver metallic. Think you might reinstall all .txi and CM files, just in case.

Thanks guys! In the other thread i talked about the possibility to bring different variations of each panel type to the game - e.g. Sith design, republic design etc. to the various locations: I made some test variants of the standard Desk and Panel2 and as always are open for suggestions or changes: wall panel Generic/Sith/Czerka: Desk Generic/Sith: i plan to do 7 variations each/21 in total, with 1 standard texture; but i would need some help to get the other variants into the game.

Good that you remind me! I just forgot to include the cubemaps, since they are always present in my override - but its fixed now. So to your projects: How ready are the skyboxes? what about Manaan?

Thank you guys. Its my best textures so far - unfortunately the screenshots cant show it to full extend. About the skyboxes: Kexikus is doing that part, i think he will release them soon. @scoutception: If you have my other mods as well, just put every mod in a separate named folder. I might rename the next releases as well.

Via hex editing? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @Sithspecter: Yeah, 700+ Variations would be absolutely insane. I think realistically i can do about ~7-8 each max. Thats still up to 24 variations in total. And i really wish this project could be happen, because when doing the variants below the impact on the overall mood ingame was dramatic! i did some quick variations themed SITH, CZERKA and GENERIC - note, that changes to the display size and overall design should affect atmosphere even more: -

hm, i have no idea/experience how that works exactly, and it might be an overwhelming amount of work to do these edits and making multiple animations... But if some guys could help me on the edits i could concentrate making Panels in Sith/Republic/Czerka etc. style and im quite sure that would add much immersion to the planets... -
Regarding the numerous PLC files, e.g. the Panels, Desks, one thought crossed my mind since a while: when you roam across the planets, especially these ones you see at every corner: PLC_Desk1 PLC_CompPnl PLC_CompPnl2 PLC_FootLker and its always the same texture regardless if its on the Star Forge or at Dantooine. What id like to do is to assign different custom texture variants for them planetwise or even better area-wise. e.g. 1 texture for Bek Base, 3 variants for Upper City etc. I know that this is possible for textures like floors, walls via hex editing but ive no idea about placeables. I would be glad of any help on that!
