  1. Hi guys, as you know Kotor only has 2 minigames. Thats way too low. Especially the cantinas would massively benefit from a new one. You probably know Quasar, a pretty simple fun game from Mass Effect 1: Basically a simple Blackjack variant: You have two buttons with random inputs 1-8 & 4-7 and you must not go over 21. the rules are here: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Quasar. I want to ask you talented scripters here, would someone be able to make THAT possible?

  3. Looks interesting! Will that be a replacement for the vanilla game and is it the one shot down at Telos, where you can see the interior in a cutscene?

  5. Thanks for the hint, actually that could be changed very quickly, although im not really well informed how the evolution of that logo goes... Also the Kotor Sith Logo looks kinda wrong, since its the Rakatan Star Forge Logo.
  6. Its really important that we have a (semi-)professional written script for this, one talented person solely concentrating on that part. For that ive contacted Darth Ki Gon from Projectstarwars.com which has done an outstanding fiction "Fate of Revan". Hes German but i think translating wont be a problem. I think it would be ideal if that happens, he really understands to describe the twists and turns of situations in a very memorable and unexpected way, very similar to Kreias Dialogues. Quality-wise its definitely up there with Drews book.
  7. His answer isnt really clear, i think he doesnt know exactly what we want to do. So it might be the best to ask him more specific; that we are planning to make a coruscant overhaul by using a completely new modeled planet, but to save time ask him if we could use his content (questline, feats..) and modify it.
  8. ah, you dont seem to be entirely content.. well they are obviously quite similar from the outside, and both represent wealth. And the question when doing an Overhaul is always: how far should i go? But if you watch the vanilla Taris Interiors, they look quite awful in comparison and i feel just maintaining the colors/doors/designs strictly even in high resolution is not enough. You should feel everyting in Upper City is expensive and glittering, please correct me if im wrong but i think adding ornaments in a decent way enhances that feeling and the contrast to the dirty, worn out Undercity. This is done to even greater extent to Daviks Estate: I also tried to maintain the vanilla color scheme for example in V5, but im still curious, if you would create the Overhaul instead, how would you do it? Would you only use vanilla designs, or go beyond, and how?
  9. After watching the SW movies again since a long time i was overwhelmed about the finesse and the crispness of their texture designs. They trump Tor and any Star Wars game by a mile and so i decided to orientate my Overhaul series more on them than SWTOR in the future - i hope you guys are fine with that.   10. It was indeed bad lightmapping, thanks for the tip! Still have to hex it to get the leather tex on it, but its fixed now: the lightmap is m02ad_09a_lm0 and i simply changed the color in the red Rectangle with Paint.net:# @SH, since it worked, it might be also possible to fix the Ebon Hawk the same way...
  11. The texture is (or at least the textures in the same position above the other doors) named LTS_Bwall04i Interestingly, after i hex edited all the other instances of that tex (and others), in fully retextured state it stays completely pitch black and also no bump effect visible:

  13. Thanks for uploading this awesome mod. It flesh out the vanilla story but at the same time feels natural, as it had been always in the game. Great!

  16. Create a new planet based on Deathdisco's Jedi Temple mod is a marvellous idea! Id gladly provide some textures/tex animations to it, since my new retextures are heading more towards the movies design style anyway. @Quanon: would it be possible for you to use these ones too: http://www.scifi3d.com/list.asp?intGenreID=10&intCatID=17 if they look well ingame, they would shorten time a lot..

  18. Hi, When retexturing Taris i encountered a black texture, that stayed black even when removing override: Any way to get rid of it?
  19. Certainly shield regeneration would be great, and even better if combined with a shield bar above/near enemies health bar... Soldiers would feel unique and different to other opponents. Personally i'd love to see it ingame and am curious which way do you mean? About the new effects, i simply had in mind to simply replace the textures without animations.
  20. There are some very talented scripters here. I think Fair Strides could get it done. I also think the new abilities could get new visual effects... if its possible to just use the existing ones and modify the textures (e.g. vanilla lightning = blue; new ability = green lightning etc...) then i could help you out doing new effects... - to see what i have in mind, you might take a look at my Complete Effects overhaul. Another thing, when looking at your LF post, the Supply and Demand module sounds interesting... even more, if you implement some of the bigger mods like VarsityPuppets Duplisaber Mod. It would be cool not to have to "cheat" these items via workbench but to buy them for horrendous prices at the black market
  21. Thats great news! Btw, ive sent you a PM at Nexus but since your here, its easier anyway. About the feat mod ive 2 ideas: The shield system in Kotor is basically Bonus-Hitpoints and unimmersive. What id like to see is a shield system similar to Mass Effect: Would it be possible to give shields a certain amount of hitpoints and the ability to auto - regenerate? -> means: if the shield has 50 HP and regenerates in 5 sec. So if an enemy does 60 dmg in 4 sec. it breaks but when it takes more than 5 sec. the shield holds. Could the shield regeneration be done by using the hitpoint regeneration feat? Additionaly, you might implement a bonus talent to explode shields when down, with a chance to stun opponents for 1 round. And make shields only accessable for soldier class. That could make trooper enemies also much more interesting... The second idea i had for quite a while is to do sth. similar like the Neverwinter Nights talent "Automatic Quicken Spell" which eclipses the one round waiting after an attack. It could be found in the earlier KSE editor versions as well. Im not sure if its possible, but it would be amazing if it could be implemented/simulated by shortening the waiting time after an attack round... WIth it we could enjoy real time fights...
  22. The points is, mods are free for everyone to use. But to upload sb. work by willingly giving the wrong impression that you're the author and taking the credit for the hard work is something that few would consider right.They don't want to consider it.
  23. But that doesn't make it OK either. If you download a software program developed by another company etc. and then upload it on your homepage with your name/logo and no hint otherwise, it's usually considered robbery. The only difference with mods is that they are "freeware" and don't cost anything. I can't imagine someone isn't aware of that.
  24. In contrast to the mushroom guy - and judging on her comments - i feel that she might just found out on the new animations & stuff and wanted to spice up her own work with it as well - and didnt even consider that this is stealing...which i find particulary shocking.

So, I've encountered it as well: I found this by accident when browsing the internet: [snip] Take a close look at the first Endar Spire pic on the right and the Manaan Kolto Tank - and then the title of the mod! The author is using my textures in her Graphic Modification 5.00! But that's not all: [snip] Can you believe this? It also seems that the author isn't even aware that this is bad, since the Manaan Overhaul is linked to Deadly Stream in the comments. But no sign stating that its not her textures. Since the whole site is Russian, and I'm not able to register at all, is there someone who can speak Russian? Would be important that s.b. could talk for me with the Administrator there to 1) either remove the files 2) or better create an account with my Name and move the files there.
