This is an early release of a mod that adds the KOTOR 1 planets to KOTOR 2 with quests and content. Around 70 quests are added. Help the Republic retrieve stolen data and medical shipments. Deal with a disturbance in the Force on Tatooine. Fight Sith on Yavin. Fight in the arena on Coruscant. This is just some of what's in store. This mod adds Manaan, Coruscant (different from Deathdisco's classic mod), Tatooine, Kashyyyk, Yavin, Rakata Prime, and Sleheyron to KOTOR 2. On these planets, you will find over 70 new quests. The general feel of this mod is to add content that largely fits the style of mid 2000s BioWare games. There are quests/scenes/gags that are inspired by those games. SWTOR was also a huge inspiration to the quests. I would guess that this mod adds somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-12 hours (give or take) of gameplay if you do everything. The mod also features additional banter between companions. Currently, only Visas and Mandalore as a pair are featured. Try taking Visas and Mandalore out adventuring with you. More to come. Mod name still being worked on. How do I start? As soon as you finish Telos, you can visit the new planets. This mod does not have any main quest. It adds many side quests that you can choose to do. Much of the quests can be done in any order, though there are some quests that follow others and/or unlocked through doing other quests. A save prior to arriving on Telos is required to play all the content, though currently, starting after Telos will only prevent you from completing a minor delivery side quest to the medical bay. Some of these quests include: *Bounty Hunting: -On Coruscant, Tatooine and Manaan, you will find terminals that will automatically update you with bounties that are available (similar to talking to Zax in KoTOR1) *Deliveries: -Some people in the galaxy just want someone to act as courier and this is a good way to get some easy credits *Operations: -Inspired by SWTOR’s operations and flashpoints, you will find a Republic Trooper milling around by a shuttle on Coruscant. He can tell you more about operations which might be somewhat challenging dungeon style content *Story driven quests: Certain NPCs give storyline quests. Lt. Rene on Coruscant can get you started on one particular questline. Sometimes landing on a planet will lead to a storyline. Some storylines can only be done after others (Manaan’s, for example starts after Coruscant’s and then Manaan’s storyline is one prerequisite to start another questline on Coruscant if you also help a twi’lek at the Coruscant bar obtain an artifact from Yavin). The Hunting Lodge on Tatooine has a cryptic old man who wants you to do him some favors. *Korriban additions: The cave has an addition over in the back leading to several new modules with temples. *Dantooine addition: Over by the Kinrath cave is a path that was blocked off in vanilla that will lead you to the Grove. Upon entering the grove, you will start a new quest. *Companion Quests: -Visas Marr has a quest if you ask her some questions after getting to know her a bit. -Mira has a quest if you enter the Manaan docking bay with her and walk around -Handmaiden has a quest if you talk to her after training her to become a Jedi *Kreia's vanilla plot hook about about "Tulak Hord's lost holocron where he recorded his techniques" is now something that grants a quest of sorts. Though some things are better left buried... *On the planet Sleheyron, rumors persist of someone trying to free slaves from a local Hutt's rule. *There are some "inspired by SMT fiend fights" sort of "super bosses", usually at the end of a quest (though I can think of one who is just chilling in her temple for now). I can't really reveal much about these fights as it would spoil the surprise, but if you think about force "power levels" you might understand why about half a dozen special fights should be hard considering who you are fighting. There are a few legendary galactic figures (or aspects of them) that you can fight and some of them drop pretty good loot so come with buffs and medpacs. *More to discover This mod was voiced using AI. No other aspects of this mod involves AI. Installation instructions 1. Install TSLRCM 2. Install M4-78 EP 3. Copy the contents of this mod into your install folder, ensuring that you overwrite when prompted. A few aspects to be aware of in this mod: 1. It doesn't take into account a dark side Revan. It was specifically written to take into account both Male and Female Revan, but some characters appear in this that couldn't otherwise. 2. The mod is intended for a Male Exile, however I did make some modifications that allow a Fem Exile to experience all the content. The training holocrons for Handmaiden currently do not work with Disciple, however. 3. There aren't a lot of moral choices at this time. 4. This mod is in English. 5. Currently the NPCs milling standing around the settlements don't serve much purpose. Their little flavor blurbs haven't been implemented yet. That will be done soon. 6. This mod SHOULD be compatible with mods that replace textures except for the ebon hawk cockpit skyboxes. Reskin away other than that. 7. This mod is still being developed. The difficulty especially is being worked on. All content should be playable though. ------------------------------ INCOMPATIBILITIES: This mod, out of the box is incompatible with Newbiemodder's Korriban Expansion and Deathdisco's Jedi Temple. The mod was designed for future compatibility with Deathdisco's Jedi Temple, however. This can be addressed by a simple drag and drop optional compatibility fix in the future. A future update will include (with permission) a modified version of Newbiemodder's Korriban Expansion. Party Swap is incompatible at this time. Any mod that gives Visas Marr a prestige class is incompatible as this mod grants her one at the end of her personal quest. Ebon Hawk cockpit skyboxes are currently incompatible. Schematic Lightsaber Mod is VERY incompatible due to edits to companion dlg files and an edit to Nar Shaddaa's refuge quad module. Additional testing seems to indicate that the incompatibilities are much more serious than a cursory glance indicated. Apparently in concert with this mod, it breaks Korriban in several places due to some changes in utc files. Content Pack- Feats and Powers has been reported to be incompatible ------------------------------- Known to be compatible: Extended Enclave by danil-ch Expanded Ending by WildKarrde Genoharadan Legacy by N-DReW25 Just the those installers after you install this mod. I personally use those mods in my own build and I recommend them. -------------------------------- KNOWN ISSUES: There are some issues that may cause you some minor annoyance, but they have no effect on the actual mod. The imported modules have mini maps that are off. They still serve a purpose to let you see where you are going. The .vis files going from KOTOR 1 to 2 seem to not work all that well and have usually been omitted. This has the unfortunately annoyance of disabling some visual effects (shadows/force speed/stealth field effect) within that particular module. Certain modules have been modified so their .vis file works. These specific modules are usually because I needed a visual effect for a cutscene. Balance is being worked on and my response to reports on balance is to try and get a new version out ASAP. So if you find something to be egregiously difficult, then let me know and I will immediately try and address this. --------------------------------- The following mods and modders resources were used in this mod. 6. It is lore-accurate for Rakata to use lightsabers (well, "Forcesabers").

  7. Its the culmination of around two years of learning how to mod KOTOR2 thanks to some fantastic youtube guides, old lucasforum posts, decompiling/examining scripts, and some tutorials here (also Holocron is probably the most noob friendly modding kit I’ve seen, even if its not great for some specific instances). It also helps that kotor blender makes porting maps between 1 and 2 to be a breeze (most of the time). Also, a lot of fantastic modders resources and incredibly kind people here on deadlystream let me use their stuff when I asked them. The mod has actually been out on nexus in early alpha for a while now (a few months), I just decided to release it here because I think most of the major bugs have been worked out. As for a trailer, I’m not really sure what I would put in it, the focus is on standalone stories for your Exile to experience, its eclectic, but fitting for KOTOR 2 with the desire to not overshadow the main game. I could certainly put up more screenshots of conversations, locations, and encounters.

  8. Sometimes in modding, things don't go as planned. Here are two examples of what might had been if circumstances were different. 1. The Lost BOSSR Skybox In a flashback scene that you as the player aren't just a witness but also an active participant, you fight the previous Mandalore on his capital ship. In the background through the bridge windows, there's a battle raging. On one side, there's the Republic Fleet. On the other side, the mighty Mandalorian fleet which as it currently stands in the game looks like this. This is my upscaled version from my mod but you get the idea. When I was putting that mod together, I had a different vision for the Mandalorian Fleet element of the skybox. One that didn't look so blocky. One that looked more photo realistic. Something like this. Some of the creators of those ships I was unable to reach and I didn't feel like I could publish a mod without getting all of the permissions set up. So the fleet in this form had to go to the cutting floor. Here's what it would've looked like in action by the way. 2. The Lost TJM Skybox On the distant planet of Etti IV (a reskinned version of Nar Shaddaa), the player does . . . something? I'll be honest - I didn't play through this part of the game except to test textures for my uspcale mod for Trex's The Jedi Masters. Now in the game, there is a skybox. It's a strange one though as it's only one side of the box and it shows it on an angle. In the final version of the mod, I had to match the distance and the angle that Trex had taken to get his shot of the skybox to properly replicate it. (I did wind up making some distance adjustments anyway but you can see where I'm going with this.) However, this wasn't always the plan. You see, I had a faulty installation of TJM on my computer. If the game is correctly installed, there's a large duplication of the surrounding walls where the skybox should be on Nar Shaddaa. The skybox seen in the above picture is only there to fit in any areas where you can see through that area model duplication. But I didn't see that model duplication unfortunately. So I though I had a wide canvas to use. So I upscaled the vanilla Nar Shaddaa texture and added some brutalist architecture on top of it - and it looked like this. This skybox was in the mod so long that it actually made it into some of the WIP trailers I've made. Here's one of those WIP trailers that feature that discarded skybox - along with a crate with shipping labels that I'm apparently very fond of. But as you can't really see any of it with the model duplication in the way, I went with the original design.

  9. Hi everyone! I am extremely excited to announce my Extra Saber Colors mod has been updated to include five new colors: chartreuse, inidgo, magenta, cyan, and orange! These were inspired by JC's Extra Saber Colors but I decided to add some in of my own. They are all compatible with and use Crazy34's new blade system. It took me awhile to figure out, but after trial and error I was able to edit the blade textures and models from Crazy34's modder's resource and to my delight they worked perfectly. You can download the mod here. I hope you enjoy!

Created by: Sith Holocron (and others listed in the credits section) Game: Knights of the Old Republic 1 Version 1.0 Uploaded: 20 MAY 2024 The Brotherhood of Shadows: Solomon’s Revenge Textural Reinterpretation mod was designed to upscale and/or enhance the textures seen in the mod. It is an extensive mod pack (as might be indicated by the size) but as seen listed below, it is not a complete overhaul. Just a note: I have included upscales of the loading screen. However, if someone wants to take at recreating the loading screen in color, I thoroughly support that effort. I say “load screen” rather than “load screens” as the same loading screen is used for all of the BOS:SR areas. On N_DarthRevan01 (TGA and TXI): The mod doesn’t appear to add anything notable to this skin and the game already has this one available. Though I upscaled the texture, you may safely discard it if you covet another texture instead. If folks do want to change the texture of the traditional Darth Revan, there are so many fine reskins available. In addition, I suggest researching the Flowing Robes mod when researching alternate textures. What’s not included and why: All textures with the header m80, m81, or m82. As upscaling these textures will not improve their quality, I have not done so. You should leave these textures in the Override as-is. fx_Smoke02.tga: Upscaling this texture will not improve the quality. Leave this texture in the Override as-is. Skybox textures (trs_Bsky01.tga, trs_bsky01.txi, trs_sky0001, trs_sky0002, trs_sky0003, trs_sky0004, trs_sky0005, wst_sky0001, wst_sky0002, wst_sky0003, wst_sky0004, wst_sky0005, zzz_sky0001, zzz_sky0002, zzz_sky0003, zzz_sky0004, zzz_sky0005): I highly recommend using Kexikus’ mod instead of using the skyboxes included with the Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon’s Revenge mod. (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/723-high-quality-skyboxes-ii/) However, if you insist on using the original skyboxes, you’ll be able to find them in the folder named “Original BOS Skyboxes.” From what I have seen in game, both the original skybox textures and my upscaled versions of them are NOT compatible with Kexikus’ skybox mod for BOSSR. If you encounter issues, you have been forewarned. Shadow’s textures I have not made upscales for the character and clothing textures for “Shadow”. I highly recommend using Dark Hope’s mod instead. All added portrait textures: I have not made upscales for any of the added portrait textures for the portraits added with BOS:SR. I highly recommend using ndix UR’s portrait mod instead. Installation: The “twilek_m02d.tga” texture has been both upscaled and converted to be compatible with Ashton Scorpius’ mod “K1 Better Male Twilek Heads” and requires its use to work properly. Make sure that mod is downloaded and installed according to its installation directions before installing mine. That mod can be found here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1430-k1-better-male-twilek-heads/ After reading the caveats implied in the “What’s not included and Why” section, then add all of the textures you’ll be using into your Override folder. Allow my textures to override the files there. There are 3 TPC files in my mod: aaa_bla01.tpc, fff_lobla01.tpc, and ooo_lobla01.tpc. Make sure to delete the TGA and TXI files of the same name in the Override folder. I won’t be providing an uninstall guide as the shear number of files that’ll be replaced defies an easy way to explain it. Thanks / Credits: I have used a few of the textures from Dark Hope’s “international Global Mod” who has kindly provided blanket permission for their use. Thanks to Dark Hope for allowing me to do so here. n_sithcomf01, n_sithcomf02, and n_sithcomf03 in the Optional textures folder is derived from textures from Thor110’s ”Topaz GigaPixel AI Upscales - K1 1.0.0.” Thanks to Thor110 for providing his upscales to the community as a Modder’s Resource. https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2160-topaz-gigapixel-ai-upscales-k1/ The “twilek_m02d.tga” texture has been both upscaled and converted to be compatible with Ashton Scorpius’ mod “K1 Better Male Twilek Heads” and requires its use to work properly. That mod can be found here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1430-k1-better-male-twilek-heads/ Thanks to Ashton Scorpius for his permission to use his Twi’lek male head template to fix this texture. Any issues with this mod – other than the previously stated skybox issue with Kexikus’ BOSSR skybox mod – can be left here on the download page. Please tag me when reporting those errors as that will speed up the timeliness of my reply. Thank you. Enjoy the mod. (This section reserved for when I get around to making an overview video for this mod.) I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. Ever. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use. Messages that request permission without providing information on how your alternate version would be different than mine should be considered an instant denial of permission.

  11. I want to open up the conversation about potential changes and fixes for later versions of this mod here! I've actually already started working on the next version. Right now I'm focusing on compatibility with popular mods. Currently I have a version of the mod that does the following to improve compatiblity: -reverts unique NPC appearances (Gammorean_Desert and Rakata_Darkside) to vanilla versions, removing all changes to the appearance.2da file -rewrites the dialogue for the Jawa and terminals to function without T3-M4 in the party My next task is testing this version of the mod with the following mods: K1R (already tested, compatible) K1 Community Patch + Restored Content Demo Sleheyron Story Mode Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge Version 1.1 will be purely a compatibility patch, but I plan for more changes and additions for gameplay to be added in future versions. Here is a list of planned changes and restorations: - Repair walkmesh, model geometry and skybox - Restore Desert Swoop Race Track (m45mg) (as a means of returning to Anchorhead after completing the main quest) - Restore Bantha Corpse placeable - Create cutscene camera and ambient audio for the central pit chamber - Create new archeologist datapad placed inside the Sandpeople Territory - Create new dialogue for Rakatan Elders on the Unknown Planet JM

An excellent little mod! Does feel authentically KOTOR. Had a good time with this one. Definitely going to keep it in my future mod builds, and really looking forward to seeing what changes the mod author makes. Really great, and ambitious, for a first time modder!

  12. This might be considered a sequel of sorts to another blog I've made (found here) but you needn't read it to understand this one. (It is there so you could read afterwards but that's up to you, of course.) I've been around this community for some time. I've seen a lot of projects announced. I have seen very few of them to make it to a point of release. So I'm going to make a hot-take which is: Work first on everything that could feasibly be released separately if you don't finish the project. Let's be honest with ourselves: real-life happens. Sometimes, an author might lose interest in a project before it is done. And sometimes, the spirit is there but time requirements must be given elsewhere: work, family, school, etc. And even if these folks do manage to grab back some of that free time, that doesn't mean the passion for the old project is going to return. If work on large scale projects (such as a planet mod or a total conversion, for example) is doled out with possible smaller mods in mind, then at least the modder can at least release the parts they have completed. Net gain: the end user who could at least appreciate what did get uploaded to the community. If the modders does return to work on a project, they even have the added advantage of their materials being safe on a website without it being accidentally deleted or suffer being lost to a hard drive failure.
