NOTE : This is included with the Expanded Galaxy Project already. Another request by @Snigaroo This mod makes it so that the atmosphere of Malachor is toxic to the player character, except in sheltered areas, it also adjusts the spawn location to be on top of the Ebon Hawk and adds a tutorial popup window to warn the player about the atmospheric effects. Compatibility This mod should be compatible with any and all other mods, unless they happen to change tutorial.2da or any of the following scripts or files. 1 pointI've just approved it, thanks Thor! I've also marked that request as fulfilled in the OP.

1 pointConsider that taken care of which you already know but posting here so people see it's taken care of, uploaded it a moment ago, awaiting authorisation. There are a lot of requests! Some really cool sounding ones as well, I really should take the time to read through them all at some point.
-
1 pointAs shocking as it is for me to believe this myself, I just put up by my count north of 115 mod requests. Blame Obsidian for making a flawed masterpiece--emphasis on the flawed.

Thematic Jedi Masters Premise A little while after I released Thematic Sith Lords, this mod’s companion, I was approached by the user Starwarsnerd with a request for the same treatment for the Jedi Masters. I told him I would consider it but I believed the Masters were well-balanced and, at the time, didn’t think it necessary. When I started working on the 2.0 release of Thematic Sith Lords I decided to check on the Masters just to confirm everything was well, and I was instead floored by what I saw. All the Masters were the same class; their attributes were wildly out of proportion to their natures; their feats and powers seemed ill-thought-out—hell, in Zez-Kai Ell’s fight he doesn’t even have Force points at all! I expected a garden and found a desert, and so here we are. Just like its elder sibling Thematic Sith Lords, Thematic Jedi Masters is not a conventional difficulty mod. The objective isn’t to make each fight difficult, but unique; to, as best as I’m able, reflect each Master’s personality, philosophy and capability in the stats they’re given. Because of this, unlike Thematic Sith Lords this mod does not have any elements of a “rock-paper-scissors” fight design; unlike the Sith, none of the Jedi Masters are so abhorrently one-dimensional that they could be only capable of one thing and vulnerable to all others, such as Sion is. Rather, this mod takes the approach that each Master’s obvious specialty should be highlighted, and their other abilities treated as realistically as possible given their age, temperament, class and so on. This is where Thematic Jedi Masters focuses: differentiation. Unlike the basegame fights against the Sith Lords, which can at least be said to have enemies designed around certain archetypes, all the Jedi Masters (except Atris) are set up as Guardians with very little differentiation. Thematic Jedi Masters starts by making Zez-Kai Ell a Sentinel and Vrook a Consular—both, I think, with justification—to ensure the Masters themselves represent the Jedi well. From there their stats are designed both around these new classes and their behaviors as Jedi: whether they take risks like Kavar or are furtive like Zez-Kai Ell. In the end, what results are Masters that all feel very different, and much more true to who they are as people. For those who’d like to see exactly what was done and an explanation of the rationale for why, a full list of changes made is available in the download. Why Use Thematic Jedi Masters? As noted, Thematic Jedi Masters isn’t a difficulty mod, as most mods that touch on the Masters would be. The goal is to make each Master a realistic reflection of their natures; to make them fight how they would actually fight. If you want pure difficulty, other mods might be for you. If you want to experience differentiated fights that are harder on average than what TSLRCM has to offer, however, Thematic Jedi Masters is likely for you. Thematic Jedi Masters also has several features which other difficulty mods often lack: it consistently adjusts both the Master’s first encounter on their planet of choice (including Vrook’s initial fight in the Dantooine crystal cave) and their appearance in the Restored Enclave; it includes changes to Atris; and it uses the TSLPatcher to inject .utc edit data directly into module files for maximum compatibility. Difficulty, Balance & Testing Methodology Users who have tried other mods which make serious alterations to boss enemies may justifiably be concerned about difficulty and balance. I’d like to disclose how these fights were tested to hopefully put some of those concerns to rest. This mod was tested with two DS characters, one Sentinel/Marauder and one Sentinel/Lord (although only DS characters were used in the test, none of the fights were won with unique powers or abilities which would make them viable on DS but not on LS builds). Both test characters were built well but not min-maxed, and for each battle the use of items (consumables or shield charges) was forbidden: I had to be able to beat each opponent with only melee and Force abilities. Some of the fights were still very difficult, but each could be won without needing to resort to cheesy tactics. For any player with an average or above grasp of D20 mechanics, I believe you can use this mod without concern. Beginners to d20 systems may need to turn the difficulty down for these encounters in some cases, but should still be able to beat them even with sub-par builds with a bit of clever positioning and pre-buffing. Compatibility This mod should be compatible with anything and everything else that doesn’t edit the Masters’ .utc files. Even mods that do so shouldn’t break this, they might just edit some of the same data. The only exception is if another mod drops a relevant .utc file directly to the override, which will fully overwrite Thematic Jedi Masters’s module-based edits. Installation 1. Download the file and unzip it to any folder of your choice (except for the game directory) using a program like 7zip or Winrar. 2. Run the TSLPatcher.exe, click “install mod” and, when prompted, choose your install folder and confirm. Done! Permissions & Thanks As with any mod I have made or will make in the future, this mod has completely open permissions: modify it, redistribute it, reupload it, do whatever. So long as you give myself credit for the idea and the balance settings (if you choose to retain most of these edits) & JCarter426 credit for the mod’s development, go for it. You don’t even need to ask me. Premier thanks goes as usual to @JCarter426, who built this entire mod at my request, and tirelessly put up with literally dozens of revisions of the mod as we fine-tuned the balancing. This mod is much more his than my own and I am tremendously grateful for his help. Thanks also to @doctoramanda from the KOTOR Discord for her help making the "preview" image. -

KOTOR Quick Overhaul v0.5Beta Hi! This is a beta of my upcoming rebalancing/overhaul mod for Knights Of The Old Republic 1. The mod itself is complete (AkA, it affects the entire game, from start to finish), but I've only tested it on Taris so far (hence the screenshots), thus it's still a beta. It changes armor mechanics (now they offer a fixed 25% immunity to physical, ion, and energy damage in addition to Defence bonuses, which go higher then in vanilla on high-quality armors, to keep them relevant late-game), robes (various immunities, and CON bonuses in addition to Defence), even standard clothing (it offers same Defence as medium armor, without the damage immunities, but with immunity to crits - logic being you're just as mobile, and a bit more aware, so you don't take crit damage, but you take more regular damage then in armor - and of course it's non restrictive so you can use all Force powers in an outfit with some decent Defence - should make keeping clothing more appealing as an alternative). Weapons have been tweaked as a baseline (2da file), and individually (.uti files), ranged weapons especially do a LOT more damage, speccing for a ranged character is now a very viable option, they are now, IMO, easily on par with melee weapons in usefulness. High STR characters are still better off just speccing into melee, but for everyone else - you be the judge. They can now hurt. A lot. More types of weapons are now available earlier in-game on Taris (if you want a Disruptor for example, Kebla sells a rifle, and you can pick up a pistol not soon after - and you might consider one, a lot of enemies now like putting up a shield). Enemies also use different weapons, it's not just a blaster-haven, so don't be surprised if you get incoming sonic or disruptor fire going right through your pretty shield. Repeating blasters are now actually useful - short ranged, but big accuracy buff (simulating spray-and-pray actually hitting more often by virtue of throwing enough sh*t at a wall and hoping some of it sticks). Also more powerful then blaster rifles, but they incurr a slight Defence debuff (recoil, and unwieldy). For hard-to-hit enemies and Force users, you might want to use a repeater if your base attack bonus is low, more chance of bypassing their defence/blaster deflection. Disruptors are more powerful then blasters, but less consistent (1/3 to 1 damage ratio, instead of 1/2 to 1 for blasters). Ion weapons got a big anti-droid damage buff. Sonic weapons have been left untouched (but still more usefull, since armors don't provide sonic damage immunity). Non-powered swords are now a viable alternative to vibroswords (slightly higher top damage, lower bottom, but worse crit threat). Some weapons have crit threat or crit range bonuses. Energy shield are now unlimited-use, and a LOT cheaper to buy (and sell, should make selling a 100 shields for big money later in the game a non-option). Don't be afraid to use them often - you'll need them. Most enemies are a LOT tougher now. Droids now have a -5 Defence penalty baseline (their Defence could get to ridiculous levels in vanilla, thanks to uncapped armors and logic feats), but have inherent /5 resistance to physical and energy damage (NOT ion, big incentive to use Ion weapons more often). This includes party droids. Most enemy droids will now be shielded, and have a LOT more health. Again, ion weapons are your buddy. Many NPCs in the game have been buffed, massively. Some also drop unique weapons (hint-hint, do Canderous's personal quest - just one example). Force users are especially enhanced (most Dark Jedi in vanilla are a joke). This is all throughout the game, but not all (some NPCs use duplicate forms, I couldn't edit them directly into Override, I'd have to edit the modules, which I refused to do, to make this mod more compatible with other mods). Classes get more HP as baseline. 12 for Soldiers/Guardians, 10 for Scouts/Sentinels, 8 for Scoundrels/Consulars. Soldiers and Scoundrels, and Guardians and Sentinels, get slightly increased Feat gain. Sentinels get 1 more Force power overall, to differentiate them from Guardians. Combat droids get Scout feat gain, can now Specialize in Rifles, Pistols, and Heavy weapons. All party member HP has been adjusted accordingly. Carth no longer starts with twin pistols, he uses a carbine (trust me, having an inaccurate twin-weapon user at the start would get you killed, given the buffed enemies on Taris - your party needs some consistency, he provides it). He has his personal upgradeable carbine. Bastila uses a standard lightsaber now (same reason, her flailing-around with that double-saber WILL get her killed early on). And it makes sense, in cutscenes she uses a standard saber. HK47 buffed MASSIVELY. He now has 20 CON, 18 DEX and roughly double the health as a result, and he comes with his own special targeting computer. He was pathetically weak in vanilla. INSTALLATION: Simple. Drop everything into your Override folder. I took great pains to make this mod very hands-on to install, so there's no messing with modules or dialog file. Should be compatible with everything, as long as my mod comes FIRST (and I cannot overemphasise this enough), on a blank vanilla game. It doesn't use a patcher, and it does edit .2da files, so there WILL be incompatibilites if you plaster it over a bunch of other mods, it will overwrite them. Make a fresh game install, dump my mod in Override, then install every other mod you want. As for K1R compatibility, there shouldn't be problems (I don't use it on my game, but since my mod only affects Override folder and doesn't touch any modules, I see no reason why anything should conflict). Again for safety, put my mod in BEFORE installing K1R. -

1 pointFor the BaB mod, this is possibly related (though goes a lot further than you wanted); This is the changelog for a feat mod I'm working on. It's for both K1 and K2, but fulfills the same function. There are a lot of changes in there, but most of them are minor consistency tweaks between the games, restorations, or small fixes, similar to JC's Feat Fixes. There is also a ton of QoL edits and description changes to make the games more new player friendly (and also old player friendly because the game does a really bad job explaining itself). For K2, the major changes are restoring BaB and restoring the K1 style AC bonus feats. Instead of scaling forever, you just get the bonuses up to +6 at level 12. I've also stripped the bonuses from the Soldier and Jedi Prestige Classes (only Scoundrel, Droids, and Starting Jedi Classes get AC bonuses). This reduces player AC by 4-8 at level 30, without affecting the early game, but I'd like discussion on it. I've made the Superior Weapon Focus and TwF feats generic. Now that BaB is restored, the Weapon Master and Marauder don't need them to stand out. I've also tweaked the Saving Throws for most classes. Starting Jedi Classes are now in-between the Jedi and Sith prestige classes in terms of Saving Throws. I kept the Sith having slightly worse saves as I like it thematically, while making sure the Jedi Prestige classes get better saves than their base classes

1 pointI could be misremembering, but I spoke to JC about this a few months ago and from what I recall the consensus was that it could be done without AI VO, but it would be janky and imperfect. A lot of the VO was recorded, but not all of it and some of what's missing would require splicing, or lead to bumpy dialogue transitions or nonsensical sequences. JC can correct me if I'm thinking about a different project.
-
1 pointI don't mean to ruin your ideal vision using AI, but VO was recorded for this... it's just that extensive scripting, placing waypoints, creating dialogue files, creating conditionals and potentially adding placeables jaded many modders from doing this in the past, myself included. I don't think AI VO is necessary, unless JC says otherwise as I'm 99% sure he has the list of audio for such a project.

0 pointsKotOR 1 & 2 Texture Analysis So, after noticing this mod I decided to have a look around and see if there are any other textures in the game that got smaller in the second game and I came across a few oddities as well. It seems some actually textures are smaller in the first game and larger in the second game, while some are larger in the first game and smaller in the second. https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1330-kotor-1-texture-to-kotor-2-game-bridge Thanks to @Malkior for making a start on this and discovering some of the textures that got smaller in TSL. The fact that Manaan has a bunch of OLD textures was pointed out by @N-DReW25 Early Access Release This includes all the textures and bump maps I have found so far. I also removed the alpha layer from the Hutt textures which was causing the transparency in Malkior's release. KotOR2 K1-To-K2-Bridge.7z KotOR1 K2-To-K1-Bridge.7z I felt like all of this was worth documenting as it appears I will have to go through and compare every texture in both games. Switch Anomalies As pointed out by @N-DReW25 there are some anomalies with the Switch version of the game worth making note of. Textures To Remake - ( COMPLETE ) What I have discovered so far manually by chance. I get the feeling that going through this will have to be a group effort, there's no way I can compare all of the textures in both games myself, I have automated the majority of the work but the remaining files in "Not-In-Both.7z" need to be compared manually or piped through an AI model if possible. Textures That Have Bump Maps But Don't Use Them It seems these textures actually have bump maps which are not assigned to them in the associated .txi file, I have set up .txi files for them. When I am finished looking through all the textures and comparing everything I will release a mod that updates everything accordingly. Textures Meant For The Original Xbox File Analyses Comparison Results - ( COMPLETE ) This is a complete analysis and comparison of all files in both games swpc_tex_tpa.erf packages. KotOR1 : 3285 Files KotOR2 : 3275 Files It does not however take into account things such as the following. Textures that might exist throughout either game at different resolutions and with different filenames. In order to determine if any textures exist at different resolutions, the following lists of files must be compared manually or piped through an AI if possible. Files From K1 Not In K2 ( 1757 Files ) Files From K2 Not In K1 ( 1780 Files ) Files That Are Identical But Have Different Filenames ( COMPLETE ) - [ Left is K1 - Right is K2 ] - [ K1 : 231 Files] - [K2 : 206 Files ] Identical-Different-Filenames.7z The following lists of files couldn't be converted to TGA with Xoreos Tools, but could be extracted as TGA using KotOR Tool. As far as I can tell all that exists that is of interest amongst these lists is an old incomplete version of "LMA_tech01" Files From K1 That Couldn't Be Converted To TGA And Don't Exist In K2 ( 6 Files ) Files From K2 That Couldn't Be Converted To TGA And Don't Exist In K1 ( 8 Files ) Files That Are Identical In Both Games That Couldn't Be Converted To TGA ( 3 Files ) As for determining if any textures exist in either game at larger resolutions than one another, I think that has to be inspected manually using the same lists, or possibly could be handed off to an AI model. Files That Are NOT Identical But Exist In Both Games - ( COMPLETE ) - [ 145 Files ] Not-Identical-Release.7z These 145 files are some of those that will need inspecting and comparing manually. Files That Are Identical In Both Games - ( COMPLETE ) - [ 1225 Files ] Files Not Included. Files From K1 Not In K2 - ( COMPLETE ) - [ 1757 Files ] "Not-In-Both.7z" at the bottom of the post. Files From K2 Not In K1 - ( COMPLETE ) - [ 1780 Files ] "Not-In-Both.7z" at the bottom of the post. Files From K1 That Couldn't Be Converted To TGA And Don't Exist In K2 - ( COMPLETE ) - [ 6 Files ] K1-Didnt-Convert-Xoreos.7z Files From K2 That Couldn't Be Converted To TGA And Don't Exist In K1 - ( COMPLETE ) - [ 8 Files ] K2-Didnt-Convert-Xoreos.7z Files That Are Identical In Both Games That Couldn't Be Converted To TGA - ( COMPLETE ) - [ 3 Files ] That's everything, now between us all we just need to look through the files that aren't in both games to see if any textures exist at different resolutions like I and others have pointed out that don't use the same filename. NOTE : I accidentally left "M37aa_02_a0004d.tga" in "K1-Not-In-K2" just delete that one file, saves me reuploading 265mbs. I found it as I have "Identical" folders for both games, this is also how I found the Extra TXI files listed below. Not-In-Both.7z K1 has some TXI files K2 does not, as does K2 which are included below. Extra-TXI.7z I believe that covers everything, but let me know if you spot anything I missed! UPDATE : I have been using this information to improve my main project, I just used the lists I generated to automatically remove the tga/txi files from both the main and port projects for Expanded Galaxy and replace them with the original compressed .tpc files, as well as remove any files that already existed in the second games files. This resulted in an overall reduction of 231mb's file size for the overall project split between the main and port. I am also using these lists to track down the textures that exist in the second game but have a different filename than they did in the first game which should reduce the file size even further, but to do that, I first have to update all the references in the model files to use the names of the texture in the second game. ADDITIONAL : While going through the texture files of both games in-depth I have come across some interesting oddities, such as textures that are a larger resolution, textures that have bump maps which aren't used and many bump maps which could be applied to textures in the second game that use re-colours of textures from the first game. Will be releasing a mod that includes these files at some point.
