======================================================== A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II: (THE SITH LORDS) MODIFICATION Kreia's Fall cutscene (in-game) ======================================================== Author: danil-ch Contact: danil-ch can be reached via pm at deadlystream. Filename: Kreia_Fall_In-game_1.2 1. Description: ---------- This is a Kreia's Fall scene turned from BIK movie into in-game cutscene. 2. Install: ---------- This is a mod for TSLRCM 1.8.6, it will not work otherwise. So have that installed. To install, extract the mod folder to anywhere you like, as long as it is not the SWKotOR2 folder. Simply run 'install.exe’. 3. Uninstall: ---------- There has been a backup made of the modified files, within a folder titled 'backup' in the mod folder. Simply copy 003EBO.mod into your Modules folder and appearance.2da into your Override folder, and delete baseitems.2da (Override), 910mal.mod (Modules), mus_a_kremov.mp3 (StreamMusic) and you will have reverted to TSLRCM 1.8.6. 4. Bugs: ---------- This has been tested several times to make sure nothing weird happens. If you find anything, let me know. 5. This mod replaces the terrible low poly and sprite-based crowd in the Dark Side ending with a full 3D crowd. Due to engine limitations, these are static in order to preserve the frame rate, but the original only has some slight wobbling of the sprites anyway. The two animated Sith Officers that walk up and salute still remain, as in the original version, although they have been tweaked so that the transition from walking to saluting is a little less janky. Both now also bow in a later shot, as intended. Two doors that were missing have been added (also to the regular Temple Summit module) so Bastila and Revan have an obvious path to the dais besides Force Leap. Some of the level geometry has been consolidated to improve performance, since models with high individual mesh counts seem to tank the frame rate. As of v1.2, all the vanilla lightmaps have been completely replaced with entirely new higher resolution ones, cleaning up artefacts and adding in a lot of missing shadows. Known Issues / To-Do List: Currently, the DS credit sequence does not play in fullscreen when movies are enabled due to the requirement for additional exe patching not currently done by any existing widescreen patch. I have provided info about this to ndix UR for incorporation into his high res menu patcher, but there is no ETA on an update for that. In the meantime, for those willing to crack open a hex editor, here are the offsets you need to edit with your own resolution values in the CD/GOG exe: 0x28F9E0 – E0 01 0x28F9E5 – 80 02 0x28F9FA – 80 02 0x28FA04 – E0 01 Credits and Thanks: @bead-v for MDLEdit and KOTORMax. @ndix UR for TGA2TPC, TPCView, MDLOps 1.x. @seedhartha for KOTORBlender for Blender 2.8+, especially for adding the lightmap baking feature. Thanks to @ebmar for offering his 2¢ on various aspects and for prompting me to dig this one back out of the "on hiatus" pile. Thanks to @N-DReW25 for suggesting the addition of the doors. Skybox textures in screenshots/video are from @Kexikus's High Quality Skyboxes II. -

0 pointsWell, it certainly has been a long time since I made one of these. Read through my last one, and things were certainly dire back then. Fortunately, that car accident had no lasting damage besides some scarring and the ability to pop my sternum. Obviously, I haven't modded in a while, or at least haven't released anything. I've been busy: college that took way longer than it should have (got my Associates in 2020 after 4 years), some programming here and there (nothing paid), general living, and of course a lot of D&D / Pathfinder throughout that time. But I'm glad to say that I have an Associate of Science - Oregon Transfer degree and I'm enrolled for the Bachelor's in the fall. COVID really delayed things, but I was fortunate to keep working as a janitor all throughout. However, these weren't the only reasons I was kept away from the community I know and love. By the way, I'm glad to see things didn't slow down while I was gone! Another big reason I've been away was fear. It's scary when you discover something about yourself, but you don't know how the rest of the world will react. It doesn't help when you yourself are so ignorant about it that you didn't think it was a real thing until the repressed thoughts and emotions pop up. If anyone's read the "About Me" section on my profile recently, you probably already know. In 2019, I realized I was transgender. It wasn't just one thing, thought, or experience that showed me; instead, it was a culmination of things from my childhood and throughout my life up till then. But like I said, that's scary. It takes a lot of time to adjust your thinking, to research and evaluate yourself. To test the waters, so-to-speak, and see what things are like in your new reality. And that was the case for most of 2019 and all of 2020. I spent my time hidden away, trying to fly under the radar and not draw attention to myself. My friends from college and my roommates knew, of course. But the outside world? No, no, no. Much too risky, of course. In 2021, I decided to get the ball rolling on the rest of my life. I'd spent a couple of years finding my new sense of self, recentering, and getting a new sense of style. For the most part, things have been pretty quiet. But recently, I've had some pretty good experiences re-connecting with a few of you people, and it's been wonderfully refreshing to be "back". So, I'm ready to come out of the shadows and say "Hi! I'm Tristan. For those of you that used to guess I was a woman... well, looks like you were right. "

0 pointsHaha, thanks! I still have no idea where you came up with this image, but it's fucking beautiful. Hell, can I borrow it as the cover photo on FB? You're welcome. The reactions have been nice so far; a few years ago... I wouldn't have expected people to be so understanding. Part of that phenomenon where you expect others to think like you do, I guess. And back then? I was ignorant. You! You're still around?! Yes!!! You volunteered me into a chaotic mess, ya know that? (K1R) I still need to try out your Crashed Republic Cruiser mod. I'm glad it saw the light of day, man.
