About This File

While working on the K1CP I discovered that there are actually three different Sith soldier textures. There's the red and the silver that we're all used to, but there's also a white one that is unused. This restores the white texture into the game. You have the option to either make the standard troopers white and the elite/command troopers silver, or vice-versa.

INSTALL: Run the installer and select either Main OR Alternate.
I recommend installing this AFTER the KOTOR 1 Community Patch and JC's Korriban: Back in Black if you use them.

PERMISSION: I give anyone permission to do whatever the heck they want with this, whether or not they give me credit. (Although credit is always nice, y'know?)

Nice work, but personally, I hope that somebody will make a big retex for sith and republic armors, to make them look more seriously. These sith and republic armors are just boring and should be refreshed.

Yes, I've seen this mod, also good one. Thanks for the link. But I thought about something else, big retex or even replace. Nevermid, maybe someday some1 will decide to make some armors improvement project, or anything like this.

What's the benefit of switching to .tpc instead of using .tga files?

I think the "white" armor is supposed to be a less-taxing backup texture for the silver armor.

It's this. When I first played KotOR it was on a laptop without a proper graphics card, and that's just how all Sith troopers looked. Honestly I prefer the matte white look, even if it is obviously Stormtrooper-derivative.

Look at shoulders, belt and feet, model has changed, not only texture.

That's not part of the mod, dude. The one on the left is the normal Sith Trooper. The one on the right is the 'lite' Sith Trooper model used on, again, computers that don't meet the requirements for the main one.

Does this get rid of the RED texture altogether or is this just a supplement to the existing setup??

This looks nice. I wonder if it could be applied/retextured to fit the other armor models? LIke the commando, or the light armored ones you see on Taris.

A comparsion between vanilla and modded versions would be nice. Also between main and alternative version
