About This File

This is a fix for a number of issues present on the supermodels, the stock animations used for most characters in the game.

First, Obsidian added several combat animation variations for K2, but they messed up a couple of the names, causing the game to play animations that don't exist and resulting in characters freezing in place. This mod fixes that.

Second, the animations for dual blasters had the hand objects in the incorrect positions. For male characters, the blasters would clip through the hands, and for female characters they would hover above the hands. I've restored them to the positions they were in K1.

Third, when wielding dual melee weapons, male hands would clip through the weapons for some animations, notably the looping ready pose. The issue seemed to be that the fingers were gripping the weapon too tightly, so I loosened them up for the male models.

I have also added an option to change the melee running animations to match how they are in K1. I included this as an optional part of the installation as it's an issue of preference rather than a straightforward fix.

If you think you've spotted any other issues, send me a picture so I can confirm what the problem is and whether it's an issue with the supermodels. If so, I'll add it to my to-do list.

Any chance you can look at the animations for dual-wielding lightsabers? The off-hand saber kind of hovers above the hand.

Is there a similar problem with KOTOR 1? That a mod like this could fix in the future?

Oh my god, your explanation that some models call for a file that doesn't exist, so they seem to freeze explains SO MUCH!! Thank you for this!

Like your work. I know it is 2019, but I wonder are you going to have a look at

1. Kreia's hand when holding a weapon

2. Wookies' (Hanharr) left hand when dual wielding

Hmmmmm.... Found a few other mods which does around the same (E.g.: on another site KOTOR Stances 2 or again on another site it's called KOTOR Stances 2.0.), but I think that's the fresher version, has the latest update... So, probably this is the most compatible mod in this category with TLSRCM without any glitches. Hmmm... checking my files in override map: probably this mod is already included into the latest version of TSLRCM.

KOTOR Stances 2.0 appears to be a mod for Jedi Academy? I don't know what you mean.

No, this mod is not included in TSLRCM.

My bad, those for Jedi Academy, sorry! XD Yeah, you were right, thanks to correct me! :D

For the other thing, I dunno the answer then. XD I had your files already in my override folder without downloading before from here, I only recently started to use this site.... Perhaps included in another mod, not in TSLRCM but perhaps in the latest version of the Community Patch? ...🤔

Oh, almost forgot to ask: Is this compatible with your mod, please? Movement Animation Fix for both KOTOR and TSL - Mods - Deadly Stream Perhaps a silly question but just to be sure... ^^

No, this mod is not included in the KOTOR 2 Community Patch either.

That mod is compatible, although it is included in the KOTOR 2 Community Patch.

I had this very same issue. It only appears if I use the K1 style running files, so something with those must be wrong. Hopefully it will get fixed one day.

I just ran into the same issue using the K1 running files from the latest release (1.6 currently). It looks like if you hit the "see changelog" button, you have the option of downloading previous versions.

I tried the K1 running files from version 1.5, and the female rifle animations are normal, no clipping bug like in the screenshot. The downside is that at least for me, 1.5 seems to have an issue with the female dual lightsaber animation; it has a weird head bob when running with the lightsabers drawn, sort of like the animation the characters have when injured.

I tried the K1 running files from version 1.4 next, and those seem to work fine with all the animations on both male and female characters. Some of them look a little different than the animations in 1.6, but they are still a big improvement over the base game. I haven't tested extensively yet, so not sure if mixing the K1 running files with the supermodel files from 1.6 will cause other issues, but so far it seems to be working fine. I never liked the running animations for dual or double-bladed swords, so this is a big improvement for me. Wanted to share in case that helps anyone else.
