Rovan 6 Posted February 21, 2016 One thing about Coruscant that is beneficial for fans to create new content is that it's filled to the brim with aliens. Usually having to rely on the alien soundsets is a bit of a cop out but it works perfectly for Coruscant. Unfortunately at the same time though, the game suffers from repetition in terms of aliens. There's too many Twi'leks, Ithorians, Duros, and Rodians. I'd like to see more Devaronians, Weequay, and Nikto (those red guys). There's also Trandoshans but I think they're best kept to Nar Shaddaa. Also, I love the idea of a bounty office. There's endless possibilities for bounties on Coruscant. Political assassinations in particular is an idea that has great potential. It would be a great way to make Stealth useful. The problem with this is that humans are pretty prevalent in Coruscant; not having a more than a few sprinkled around would feel kinda odd. It might work for an Undercity-esque area, but the Temple's in the middle of a pretty important area. It doesn't help that the aliens (or everyone, actually) look pretty scruffy. nerdenstein 4 Posted February 21, 2016 As a proof of concept, if a Coruscant Expansion were to take place, move the Ebon Hawk to land in part of the Undercity area of Coruscant (think about the cancelled Star Wars 1313 and what we see of Coruscant in the latter series of The Clone Wars) and have the Jedi Temple as a mission that you travel to using a Taxi Service? So it ends up being a little bit like a cross between Nar Shaddaa in tone and Dxun/Onderon in mission structure. Perhaps have it that you do work for one of an opposing faction (a Senator and a Hutt Crime Boss perhaps?) that can help sneak you into the Temple? Of course, this starts to change the original Jedi Temple mod and I'm of the understanding that the mod author doesn't want his mod changing but those are my thoughts. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Damned 20 Posted March 22, 2016 From what I understand about the original mod, one of the biggest complaints is how the mod gives far too many powerful items, far too easily, and far too early on in the game. Is that true? If it is the case, this "expansion" should either make those items much harder / farther in the story to get, or tone them down in use. Hunters Run 57 Posted April 3, 2016 Alright get your votes in now. I would like to know your opinions of player agency vs computer hardware. To elaborate should I keep the whole senate building or should I cut off the back to preserve polys. In option one, you get to run around the whole building but it may be more stressful for your hardware and the game. The other option is less stressful but you can't run around the building. Aaand . . . as I was typing, I checked and noticed that everything so far is only around 2,700 polys - hmm.. thought it was higher considering - making it a moot point so far. Durendal 5 Posted April 10, 2016 Going through it again for the first time in years (Has it really been that long? Yikes.) and I have to echo the complaints about overpowered items. While it makes sense to have a few things lying around, copies of all the best robes and crystals isn't very good. I think at most having a robe or two and a lightsaber, maybe some lesser crystals might be best if anything comes of all this.Another option might be to make it equivalent to the Yavin Station from the first game, where there's a lot of good/unique stuff, but it comes in 'tiers', I.E. people might unearth more relics each time you come back after finishing a planet, or you find a place to meditate on what you're learned during your journey. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Screenshot marked door: Remodeled the door as it was too big last time. PrivateCloseup: This one is a closeup of the gate before the senators private landing pads(more on those later). Accessible, but maybe through a quest. I was thinking that there would be a protocol droid outside who would restrict access. Oh and there is going to be a door. insideShuttle: It may be hard to see but I have modeled the inside of the shuttle partway. PrivateSpeeders: Where the senators park their speeders. So where are the speeders you may ask? There are two answers to that question. Firstly, they need to be modeled (won't be done until later in the project). Secondly, I will try to add an animation to them so they won't be in the actual senate model. Rail: Self-explanatory, I added a rail so you won't fall off. Shuttle: I you are not a senator this is how you get to the senate building. There could be a quest where it flies away and you need to get an alternative route from the senate (just brainstorming). That's where the senator's speeders come in handy. Texture: Just showing off the texture for the side of a building that I made. Statues: Most likely my favorite part- I added statues in front of the doors. Not the best edge flow but they are stationary sooo.... All in all about 53,500 polys. I hope that is not too much (first time really making an area). Also I have been sending the model to Sith Holocron whenever I reach a milestone (as a just in case). xander2077 80 Posted June 14, 2016 i think we should have a contest to see who can come up with the best dialogue for a fake scenario for an imaginary mod, and then the submissions can be voted on by the community. whoever comes up with the best one gets the job. now i would offer my services, but two things kind of put a dent in that 1: i am pretty busy already, and 2: everything would have to be thoroughly spell checked and edited since i seem to have butter fingers and a really bad spell check.
