    I would like to use Sith War Droids HD - 4X Upscaled Texture from NexusMods but I hear the author's mods all have issues with alphas.  If anyone can suggest how I can correct this myself using GIMP (as I don't have PS), I'd like that.

      From my experience, it's a bit of a struggle to notice the difference in the upscaling. Regardless, if you just go to the layer drop down menu and select remove alpha channel...that should do the trick in GIMP.

      The 'jaggies' by the Sith War Droids "neck collar" always irked me so this would be a easy way to deal with that judging by the screenshots.  Thanks for the feedback!

      A couple of people have posted some methods to fix the alpha problem in the author's aio pack page. I have yet to try myself, but I intend to at some point. I hope to learn that program the author uses so I can do some upscaling myself.
