I already released a mod that replaced the Ultima Pearl with the Krayt Dragon Pearl, but there aren't a whole lot of other items I'd want to outright replace.

I guess that's why @90SK's stuff is specifically placed in his loot mod. Hopefully we get a breakthrough in the next few years, but I guess I can always do hand placed items too.

So I recently discovered the Holocron Toolset (I'm pretty late to the party I guess) and I've been playing around with it to make some small adjustments to items and NPCs. I would like to know how I can make a completely custom item and have it be able to spawn in a container as a random drop?
I'd like to make 3-4 Jedi robes that are lore friendly and could spawn between levels 14-24. I've already learned how to create them (using Crado and Aleema's robes as the base) but need to know how they can be implemented as drops without manually adding them to a container or NPC's inventory.

Krayt Dragon Pearl Replacer for Ultima Pearl
A simple mod that I have requested a few times over the years but eventually took the initiative to try and make myself.
What this does is replace the name, item description, and the icon for the Ultima Pearl to make it into the Krayt Dragon Pearl from the first Kotor. Stats have not been altered on the crystal in any way as the Ultima Pearl is identical to the Krayt Dragon Pearl, with the added bonus of the Massive Criticals +1-6.
Why did I feel this was needed? Well, while I appreciate Obsidian incorporating additional lore from the Expanded Universe in various areas of the sequel title, I always felt like the Krayt Dragon Pearl was a more interesting concept for a Lightsaber upgrade and made for a much better role playing device. Plus, with you being able to find various Solari and Ankarres Sapphires in a playthrough (if you're lucky), perhaps another Krayt Dragon Pearl could make it's way into your inventory without you being the one to slay the beast.
Bugs:
I've tested this a few times and it seems to work as expected. The one time where this didn't work was due to installing TSLRCM after installing this. As always, make sure that TSLRCM is the first mod you install when putting together an Override folder.Special Thanks:
Due to some issues getting the icon replacement to work, I needed to steal an icon from Pramod Marlon's AI Upscaled Icon Overhaul to get the authentic look in-game. A link to his mod is provided below and is highly recommended.

Are the icons from Kotor able to be dragged and dropped with a rename into Kotor 2?
For example: I'm working on a mod that renames the Ultima Pearl and changes it's description to that of the K1 Dragon Pearl. I want to bring over the icon from K1 as well and replace the Ultima Pearl's icon so it's a more "authentic" replacer.
I tried already but couldn't get it to show up in game (name change and description worked at least). Do I need to do something else or would someone be willing to provide an icon replacement for me?

I'm wondering if it would be possible/if someone would have interest in creating and publishing an edit to Crazy 34's new lightsaber blade modders' resource?
While everything about this mod is phenomenal, it would be nice if there was an option that altered the colors of the lightsabers to more closely resemble the vanilla blade colors. For example: blue and purple are so much darker in this mod vs how they originally look in vanilla Kotor. At the same time, silver almost looks white and cyan looks more like a light blue than actual cyan.
Colors like red, orange, and viridian look much better than their originals, but many of the other colors I feel divert too far from their originals. In some cases, I feel like it takes away from Kotor 2's art style with colors being too saturated compared to the beaten down and drained backdrop that the game crafts for the setting.

Not really. Persuade rolls are not typical d20 skill rolls in K1 (StrategyWiki) has a good explanation) and there are no Persuade rolls in K2.
This is only in K2.
All Force powers which involve a saving throw add the caster's Wisdom and Charisma modifiers to the Difficulty Class. This is mentioned in the description of each Force power. For example, in Whirlwind's description:

I've been reading Reddit posts, Gamefaq posts, and others over the last few days trying to get a good idea of what exactly the Charisma stat does in both K1 and K2.
I know it modifies your persuasion rolls, increases companions' combat performance, increases force point pool in K1, and reduces the cost of alignment opposite force powers in K2. But how does it affect force power potency? How is that different from the Force power susceptibility that Wisdom increases? Does Charisma even matter in Kotor 2 since your main character becomes so overpowered by level 25?
Someone posted a very good video on YouTube a few years ago breaking down the Strength vs Dexterity lightsaber bonus in K1 using the combat log, so I'm hopeful someone can provide an explanation similar to that.

Would anyone be willing to port over Jolee's default outfit from K1 and have it replace the K2 Jolee Robes you can find? This design change plus removing the neutral alignment restriction would factor into a fun build I want to try in a consular playthrough.

Would someone be willing to replace Bastila's head with DarthParametric's Jaesa Willsaam head. I can do the swap with KSE, but was hoping to have something that covers the instances where she isn't a party member and will swap Sith Apprentice Bastila with Darkside Jaesa as well.

Hello,
I recently downloaded Kotor 2 on my new laptop and have run into multiple runtimes errors that have stifled my playthrough. The error I am getting specifically has to do with a C++ Runtime Error forcing the game to terminate in an unusual way. This started to occur when I would try to leave Citadel Station for the first time (which I resolved initially by removing the Movies folder) and now has me stonewalled whenever I try to travel to a new planet after leaving the Telos Academy (the issue is not tied to any Movies trying to play now). I have read almost every Reddit and Steam forum post and watched multiple fix videos on YouTube that have not resolved my problem.
I have already tried the major fixes of updating/reinstalling drivers, repairing and reinstalling all relevant C++ downloads, downloading All In One Runtimes, uninstalling and reinstalling Kotor 2, and playing with various graphical settings in-game and in the EXE. I am completely stumped and am hoping that someone on here may have the one fix that I have not tried or some sort of file download that will fix everything.
Please help me if you can!

Would anyone be willing to add some Darkside heavy armor variants to Kotor 2?
I'm thinking a few lore friendly heavy armor versions that don't restrict force powers but have some balanced weaknesses that set the apart from the Jal Shey robes?
Darth Vader, Warb Null, and other Darksides wear heavy armor without force restrictions, so I believe this could be something expanded upon to spice up gameplay a little.

M4-78 is a good start. You should get 2-3 extra levels from that.
I also believe that Azgath N'Dul's Tomb is compatible with both of you wanted to install that.
I don't think I've ever gotten above level 33 before fighting Kreia in any of my playthroughs.

Would anyone have any interest in implementing the Krayt Dragon Pearl into Kotor 2?
I understand why it was cut, but it seems odd being the only missing crystal from the first game.
I have two ideas for locations where it should spawn:
1- Geeda's shop after completing Dantooine for 2500 credits.
2- Looting Ahrnell's corpse after killing him in the Crystal cave (similar to killing Komad Fortuna for it in Kotor 1).

What have been or has become your favorite Lightsaber builds from the workbench? I've been playing around with some different ones lately and have come to appreciate a few nuances in both lore and gameplay.
My got to for my last few playthroughs have been:
-Jenruax
-Green
-Upari
-Improved Beam Gem lens
-Expert Fencing Emitter
-Telgorn Volt Cell III
This gives me pretty good damage and blaster defense, as well as let me hit some insane critical roles when running the Shien form with force speed + power attack.
Another personal favorite I like to do it:
-Opila
-Blue
-Ankarres Sapphire
-Improved Vibration/Pontite lens
-Expert Fencing Emitter
-Ultimate Diatium Power Cell
This one is a lot harder to pull off due to the drop chance of getting the Ankarres Sapphire, but it gives you some really big damage without relying on critical chance (but still gives you good crits with Keen). I tend to use the Vibration Lens for Weapon Masters and Pontite Lens for Marauders due to the defense penalty you get with Fury.
I don't really care to use the PC Crystal anymore because it's more fun to try to min-max a character without relying on it and going for a run reliant on pure random drops.
