That was from over a decade ago (ANH hilt was June 2008 according to the LucasForums archive), so it wasn't even my final form.

How much stuff like that do you have on file, out of curiosity? I've pulled your Kyle Katarn hilt off your site before, and I've gotten the Ven Zallow and Anakin hilt from you in a PM a while back.

Would you ever consider throwing everything you've got into a single TSL Patcher install and posting it? Either in this thread or on the main site?

Your work honestly is the best I've seen for either game, and I would easily be the first one to download a mass folder like that if you ever released one.

@Untold Prophecy: Luke's ESB saber (Dagobah version from memory), as requested.

    K1 - https://www.darthparametric.com/files/kotor/k1/[K1]_Luke_ESB_Lightsaber.7z

    TSL - https://www.darthparametric.com/files/kotor/tsl/[TSL]_Luke_ESB_Lightsaber.7z

Available as unique hilts and vanilla cyan overrides. Only tested very briefly in K1, but it seemed to be ok.

And for anyone else with a similar Graflex fetish, here's the ANH version for TSL as well - https://www.darthparametric.com/files/kotor/tsl/[TSL]_Luke_ANH_Lightsaber.7z

Thanks, Darth! Your work is the best of the best on here!

I don't know what the equivalent is to buying you a drink on here, but let me know and I'll return the favor!

  3. ROTJ Luke Lightsaber Pack by Evasto

*Notice*: This mod is not my own work and is being uploaded to Deadlystream with the permission of the original mod author. After having reached out to Evasto via email, I can confirm his approval via the following:

"...if you want to upload it to Deadlystream.com you're more than welcome to. I haven't done anything with KOTOR in a very long time so while I have revisited Luke's lightsaber since then, it was for a Fallout 4 mod rather than KOTOR. If I ever go back to KOTOR I might use the models & textures I made for Fallout 4 to update the mod (as well as the ROTJ Vader), in which event I'd upload 'em to the Nexus, but who knows when or if that'll happen."

Information of note: This mod contains files that work in BOTH Kotor 1 and TSL. Each version of the hilt has a folder included with files for installing in TSL. Please see the installation instructions for more information.

The following description is taken from the Readme file included:

DESCRIPTION: "This mod is quite possibly one of the more ambitious mods I have made to date. This hilts in this pack belong to our favorite Jedi, Luke Skywalker, who built a new lightsaber following the loss of his father's at Cloud City. This mod doesn't, however, deliver just one hilt. You get three (four, counting a texture variant) variations of the familiar lightsaber wielded by Luke. All three replace the green lightsaber, and also comes with a new green blade texture for your enjoyment.

Oh, but wait, that's not all! All three of these hilts have a TSL Version, so you can enjoy these hilts in both KOTOR 1 and 2. Also, for the first variant, I've included an alternate texture which makes the usually copper neck black, giving you essentially four lightsabers to play with. Enjoy the mod!"

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Place the necessary files into your KOTOR 1 or KOTOR 2 Override folder. Keep in mind, these hilts overwrite the default green hilt so you can only have one at a time. Just choose the one you like and extract the proper files to the correct Override folder. (The TSL compatible versions are filed into their own folder, so if you want to use one for TSL, just take the hilt's TSL Version files and pop them into the KOTOR 2 Override folder.) If you don't have an Override folder, be sure to make one. Also, when extracting the files, make sure "Use Folder Names" is unchecked or else the files will be extracted into a seperate folder."

    BUGS: None

PERMISSIONS: This mod may not be distributed on other sites without the express permission of the author (Evasto), and without credit given to the original creator of the mod.

THIS MODIFICATION IS PROVIDED AS-IS AND IS NOT SUPPORTED BY BIOWARE OR LUCASARTS OR ANY LICENSERS/SPONSORS OF THE MENTIONED COMPANIES. USE OF THIS FILE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND THE ABOVE MENTIONED COMPANIES OR THE AUTHOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR COMPUTER FOR THE USAGE OF THIS FILE.

I want to give a very special thank you to Evasto for allowing me to help preserve a mod that has been a long time favorite of mine.

I wouldn't say bugged, given that it was an intentional decision by Oldflash, but yes it is a little undersized when you compare it to the vanilla hilt mesh. But he sized it based on diameter in order to prevent it clipping through the hands.

If the emitter were a bit thicker compared to the hilt body, it probably wouldn't be as noticable. I can't create models though, so I can't really judge his methods.

Do you have overlays for the other hilts in the pack like that? I'd be curious to see the other sizes compared.

You're thinking of KOTOR Tool. MDLOps is a completely standalone model compiler/decompiler.

You know what, you are right. I am mistaking the two. I usually use the Kotor tool to get the lightsaber files I'm going to overwrite. My bad!

I'll give it a try and see if I can get it. Thanks again, Darth!

    It's part of Oldflash's Movie-Style hilts mod - https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic/file/movie-style-replacement-lightsaber-hilts

If you just want that hilt, just only use that model and its textures. You'll need to recompile the model in order to use it in TSL. You'll have to use MDLOps v1.0 for that, since MDLEdit chokes on models compiled with ye olde versions of MDLOps, such as this one.

For whatever reason I've been having problems running MDLOps on my systems since I switched over to the Steam version of the game instead of the disc.

I tried this with one of the hilts you gave me last year actually, and the program keeps looking for a non-existent Lucasarts folder instead of going through the Steam folder. Even when I edit the paths (and yes, I've done it correctly because KSE still works) I can't get MDLOps to run. :(

Side note: isn't the Kenobi hilt in that pack bugged? Because it always looked like it was 0.7 times the size of the other hilts, and the blade always clipped through the neck.

This is a port of a JKA mod so I cant share with everyone. But I will PM it to you latter.

Almost forgot. You want this hilt for K1 or TSL? Also, what color you want the blade to be?

Sorry I've been gone, work has been insane in the last month.

If you're still able to, a TSL version in purple would be preferable. Thanks!

  8. What hilts are you working on for the mod? Are they original designs, or are they versions from other games, films, and books?

Saber mods are some of my favorites, so I'm always excited when I hear news about a new one!

  9. Yes! That would be the one!

If you end up making a version of it, would you be willing to share?

Just to be clear, are we talking about this one?

I'm not making any promises yet, but I've been learning how to model lightsabers and might be up for it.

  10. Would anyone be willing to make a Mara Jade's Lightsaber for Kotor 2?

I finally convinced my girlfriend to do a Kotor 2 playthrough after 3 years of bugging, and she wants to use the Mara Jade head on here in conjunction with her Saber.

  11. Thanks, Darth!

I always appreciate getting specific mods from you!

Once my new computer arrives next week and I have it all set up, I'll throw this into my Override and test it out in my K2 playthrough.

    Thanks again!

The item has no properties, it has a required feat that Mira has: "Weapon proficiency: Wrist Mounted Rockets".
I haven't tested it by you can give that feat to your player character with the KotOR Savegame Editor.

I've tested it, and it does indeed work.

You're sacrificing an armband slot for it though, but the animations still work and it does shoot rockets for the player.

    All you need is KSE.

  13. I've been checking everywhere for this mod, and I haven't been able to find it again.

It was available on Nexus Mods a few months ago, but it was taken down after Gamefront came back online, although I can't find the files on Gamefront either. I checked through both K1 and K2 files on here yesterday, and I can't find it on here either.

Would anyone happen to have a working link or a copy of the files for the ROTJ Luke Saber Pack for both games? Or possibly their own version of the saber for both Kotors?

Either one is fine, I just want files/models that will work with both games. Thank you so much!

    *EDIT*

Disregard please, I found the files. The search option on Filefront wasn't bringing it up with "Saber" or "Lightsaber" when used for the search. I'll post the the link here in case anyone else has to go searching through for this. If anyone has an up-to-date version of this hilt with higher quality textures, I would appreciate it if you would be willing to share it with me. Sorry for the clutter, hopefully this thread can be helpful to someone in the future need be.

  14. Does anyone have (or have any interest in making) a saber blade/color mod that makes the blade colors of Lightsabers more closely resemble how they appear in SWTOR? Preferably for TSL, but perhaps for both games if possible.

In my opinion, Marius Fett's mod from 6 years ago (

) is still the best looking color-wise that I can find, and has been in my override since then. But it's been 6 years, and I'm looking for something new to keep my play throughs fresh.
