  1. Or it could be Chris was a little drunk that day and not paying attention. As to the VO argument, well don't VO's get recorded by people reading written text? Which could have typoes? ;)

     

    Yeah, I know, it's a depressing way to analyse any work. But one does wonder how much of the meaning in theories constructed by fans of things (of anything, not just Kotor) is built on things that are merely accidental.

     

    Mind, I'm a believer of, for instance, the Kreia = Arren Kae theory, so I can't talk :)


  2. Hm, I tend to leave Atton out initially because I level-save on him and without levelling he's a bit less than useful.

     

    Are you sure about Visas? I seem to get the same conversations with and without her, just that there are some extra lines from her if she's around (her reference to you as "human sentient" was funny). Haven't got there in 1.7 yet though...

     

    Anyway, here's my list of whom to have when:

     

    Bao-Dur: when initially exploring the Kinrath cave on Dantooine

     

    Visas+Atton: approaching the Korriban cave for the first time. Make sure they aren't far behind so the dialogue catches them both. Most NPCs have their own dialogue here, but Atton+Visas is I think the only one where one responds to the other.

     

    Atton+Handmaiden: when meeting Ratrin on Nar Shaddaa

     

    Handmaiden: when talking to Disciple in the ruins

     

    Mira: Dxun, especially with the three Zhugs that try to capture you before you get to the Mandalorian camp

     

    T3: when in the Iziz cantina you talk to that swoop racer whose name I forgot

     

    T3: when freeing Tienn's droid from Kodin

     

    There are some for Goto too but I hate that jerk so fk him, not listing. :)


  3. Interesting idea. I don't particularly care in K2, but in K1 this would have been useful... Malak had some awfully high saves. Traya does too, but in K2, FP regeneration during combat isn't a problem, so you can keep trying. In K1 there was a bigger threat of running out of Force Points.


  4. 0:52 of this vid makes me wonder about what if Stephen Hawking elected to reprogram his synthesiser to the sound and intonation of HK-47.

     

    The universe would probably implode from the sheer awesomeness of Hawking and HK-47 combined.


  5. Hm, you should at the very least have something better in the shared inventory? Unless you sold/dismantled absolutely everything that you weren't using...

     

    Nar Shaddaa's solo missions should have taught you that every character needs to be ready to fight on his own ;)


  6. Huh? I don't know if it changes "enough" about HK factory, I haven't got there yet in 1.7 and the changelog doesn't seem to mention anything about the Factory. To clarify, I'm just surprised because previously VP said there's no more room for nontrivial tweaking of the Factory any more. I accepted that, so now I'm surprised and curious. It was not a complaint.

     

    Hm, if you're referring to what I said in the 1.6 thread, that was not about me craving "something different" like new content. It's mostly that I feel close to overplaying this game, there's only so much playtime I can squeeze out of it, mods or no - which ties to the point about many partial versions knowingly released with unfixed yet reported bugs. But either way it's not worth arguing about here.

     

    1.0b8 TSLRP is what, the old leak? Never played it. Or was there a new one? Either way, what energies I have for Kotor are wholly devoted to TSLRCM, but thanks for the suggestion ;).


  7. There are considerable differences between 1.7 and 1.6

    It's really the main thing that has me continuing my playthrough, too.

     

    I thought you said there was no more room for "considerable" changes!

     

    Mm, wonder if it involves... nah, hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.


  8. Just curious, but what IS that? Found it in 351NAR.mod while browsing after something else, and it amused me greatly because it's Polish for something like "enough chatter". Can't open it, though.


  9. That... was actually pretty interesting, despite the cruel things you do to the English language. I always enjoy seeing ideas and events put together like this. That's partly why I enjoyed Scorchy's Let's Play so much, he connects the dots a lot.

     

    Did you compile that historical recap yourself?

     

    I'm surprised to say, but I don't even really see anything wrong with the idea to put Sith corpses onto the Hawk in the Prologue and then into the Peragus Morgue. It does seem to fit everything. I don't really care about this idea, I'm fine with playing the game as it is, but I don't see any flaw in it.
