This mod improves the Republic soldier models. Texture mapping errors on the male model are corrected, and the female model is replaced with a higher-quality one based on the male model. Additionally, there is an option to replace the player clothing models with Republic soldier armor. Installation Copy all files from the Override folder to your game's Override folder. If you do not already have an Override folder, make one. Player Clothing If you would like to replace player clothing with Republic soldier armor, copy files from the Player Clothing folder to your game's Override folder. If you want to replace clothing for all player classes, copy all files. If you want to replace clothing only for a specific class, copy only the files containing the letter corresponding to the class you want: Soldier: L Scout: M Scoundrel: S Uninstallation Remove all installed files. Compatibility This mod changes the texture mapping of the female Republic soldier armor model to be the same as the male model. That means this mod will not be compatible with mods which edit the female texture, N_RepSold_F01, but it will be compatible with mods which edit the male texture, N_RepSold01, and that can be applied to all Republic soldier armors regardless of gender. Replace all TPC files installed by this mod with copies of the other mod's N_RepSold01 texture. Thanks, Marius for the in depth reply. Honestly I'm just doing it so everything has a size increase. If it is really noticeable within the game; would require a more in depth screenshot comparison. But sadly I fear on how the game uses said normalmaps/ bumpmaps it's not going to do that much in the end. I've just included all the .txi files to be certain the game uses it all as it should. Though no idea what takes precedence when the game loads textures. Txi or TPC. Also mind the normalmaps are basically the diffuse texture I run through FilterForge. The program offers a few different "filters" to obtain a normalmap from any sort of picture. Try to match the original as best I can. In all honesty I'm not that tech savy 😅 These 2 threads here on DeadlyStream have lots of info on said subject:

New normal maps need to be in .tpc format, yes. The .txi is fed into tga2tpc along with the targa image, so the information contained inside it is indeed ‘baked’ into the .tpc for want of a better term. You’re also correct in that where a bumpmap is applied, .txi files need to use bumpyshinytexture rather than envmaptexture if you want to incorporate a cubemap as well. Correct on all above counts, in other words! I know Q has only recently started experimenting with normal maps for KotOR very recently and has been tackling some rather large texture packs, so I daresay any little niggling issues which slipped through will be addressed shortly. All part of the fun, as they say!

This is a simple edit of the camera model for the workbench upgrade screen that alters some of the camera angles/positions to zoom in a bit closer to lightsabers, so you can get a better look at the models when running the game at higher resolutions. Obsidian already adjusted the UI to provide bigger previews of other upgradeable objects, so only the sabers are adjusted for this version. Since the model preview window is a little narrower than in widescreen modded K1, all three hilt types have been rotated 45° to maximise the available space. Mostly intended for those using modded weapons. A version for K1 is available here. Installation Instructions Simply drop the MDL/MDX in your Override folder. Known Issues Only tested at 1080p. Results may vary at other resolutions/aspect ratios. Modded weapons that are excessively large will likely go off-screen, but they probably do that already.
