MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 13 DEC 2021 UPDATED RELEASE: 15 DEC 2021 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Description: As suggested by a Mod Request on DeadlyStream. When using one of my loading screen mods, they said they noticed that the logo now looked blurry by comparison. This is my attempt to bring the logo in line with modern standards. This texture is sized at 1024 by 1024 so it should be crisper than the original. In addition, the version number has been updated to the current one – 1.8.6. If you find the difference to be pleasing, please let me know in the comments. You want samples? I got some samples for ya right here! Original Vanilla Version My Version A few notes, once you extract files from the 7z file, you’ll see two folders. You’ll only be using one of these and for that you’ll want to consult the Instructions section below. This mod is compatible with DarthParametric's TSL Main Menu Model Fix for Widescreen if (and only if) you use my “kotor2logo.tga” file rather than the ones they provide. If you find the difference to be pleasing, please let me know in the comments. Installation: Remove the “kotor2logo.tga” that’s currently in your Override folder and place where you can find it later if needed. If you’re using an original version of TSL – that is you’re not using a widescreen mod (such as or UniWS, Flawless Widescreen, or Aspyr's natively widescreen version) – then you’ll want to place the “kotor2logo.tga” file from the “Standard (Vanilla) Resolutions” folder. If you’re using TSL with either UniWS, Flawless Widescreen, or Aspyr's natively widescreen version) – then you’ll want to place the “kotor2logo.tga” file from the “For those using Widescreen fixes” folder. If you chose correctly, you'll see something like this! (Borders added for text purposes.) If you chose poorly and have widescreen changing things, you'll see something like this (or unleash Cthulu)! (Borders added for text purposes.) I can't have made these instructions simpler than this. Uninstallation: Delete the “kotor2logo.tga” file currently in your Override folder. Find the original TGA that you carefully put aside and put it back into the Override folder. Known Bugs: None known at this time. 1 pointView File [K1] Replacement Logo for KotOR Menu Screen MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 14 DEC 2021 UPDATED RELEASE: 20 DEC 2021 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 Description: In before the inevitable request… As I just put up a TSL logo texture mod up yesterday, here’s one for the original KOTOR. This is my attempt to bring the logo in line with modern standards. This texture is sized at 2048 by 2048 (yes, you read that correctly) so it should definitely be slightly crisper than the original. The original texture was sized at 256 by 256. Someone that shall remain nameless was inquiring about using my mod so they could extend the middle bar out to the end like the original menu logo did. I have done this. Additionally, the coloring on this “long bar” version was slightly de-saturated to more in mine with the original in-game logo. For those not keeping up . . . Short Bar Version: That’s the logo that you’ll see on the box art, the game discs, and the Prima Guide Book Long Bar Version: A variant version of the logo where the bar that contains “Of The” stretches to the end letters rather being nestled in the center between the large “K” and large “S” A reminder: this whole upload was originally a gag just so I could avoid taking a request in the future. Looks like the joke’s on me. Before modding (actual size): After (actual size of Short Bar version): After (actual size of Long Bar version): If you find the difference to be pleasing, please let me know in the comments. Installation: With more options, there inevitably comes a longer instruction section. First, choose which version you’ll be going with: Short Bar or Long Bar. That’s where you’ll be grabbing textures from. If you’re using an original version of KOTOR – that is you’re not using a widescreen mod (such as or UniWS, Flawless Widescreen, or Aspyr's natively widescreen version) – then you’ll want to place the “logo_sw_02.tga” file from the “Standard (Vanilla) Resolutions” sub folder from either the “Short Bar” folder or the “Long Bar folder” If you’re using KOTOR with either UniWS, Flawless Widescreen, or Aspyr's natively widescreen version) – then you’ll want to place the “logo_sw_02.tga” file from the “For those using Widescreen fixes” sub folder from either the “Short Bar” folder or the “Long Bar” folder. Uninstallation: Remove the TGA file from your Override folder. Delete it. Known Bugs: None known at this time. 1 pointWow, you actually did it! Was not expecting that... and you went the extra mile by doing 1.8.6! By any chance could you do TSLRCM 1.8.6 logo in the vanilla resolution? Maybe offer it to @zbyl2 for inclusion in TSLRCM or add it as an optional install in this mod? Does anyone know the exact font of the original TSLRCM logo? I'm sure that would be very helpful for Sith Holocron or anyone making this mod.

1 point@Saul_R97, are you using the latest version of TSLRCM (i.e. version 1.8.6)? Here's my take on it.

1 point2020 Check In - @TekerSmona's solution worked for me. I am running a boatload of mods and have used the save editor extensively (mostly to solve problems created by my mods), and it worked for me. Specifically, I cut the Override Folder out, Pasted it to my Desktop. Then I launched the game, and played without my mods until the first combat was over, then I saved the game and exited. Put the Override Folder back where it was, re-launched, and it works! 😃

1 pointReaching across the sands of time on this old thread to let you know what my fix was. This will be easier than parsing out which mod file is causing the issue. I had to do it this way because I never used the Bastila's revelation robes mod so I'm not sure what the exact issue is. I cut the entire override folder from the game directory, moved it to desktop or trash. Then opened the game, unmodded, to get through the cut scenes and the first battle in the hangar. Then saved, closed the game, returned the override folder back to the game directory then loaded my save and everything worked perfectly.
-
1 pointI can confirm that it is also an issue in vanilla KOTOR. One of those files, 03 if I'm remembering correctly, can also cause Bastila to be invisible during the interrogation scene on the Leviathan. Other than that and the black screen issue, of course, they don't seem to cause that many issues with the game, so you can probably still keep them in the override folder until those issues happen.
-
1 pointIs it known why these files cause crashes? Or what specific edits to them are responsible? And is that only an issue when using them with K1R or also in vanilla?
