HD NPC Portraits for Knights of the Old Republic 2 - The Sith Lords v1.1 - 20201004 - by ndix UR (DeadlyStream user) This modification adds 30 high resolution (1K) portrait images for NPCs. The 1K portraits have 64x the resolution of the 128x128 originals. The portraits are rendered to match the poses, colors, and lighting of the original images as closely as possible given the following constraints: Only vanilla textures (and my own additional maps based on same) are used While the textures are mostly crap, most of the work was in material setup using a modern rendering engine, so even the vanilla textures still wind up looking much better than they have any right to. This is because of real lights, shading, and materials, of which the original diffuse textures are only a part. I didn't really redo geometry, beyond appropriate use of edge split and subdivision surface modifiers. I did some amount of normalizing the gradients behind the characters. I think Disciple and Mira are the only ones with non-standard background gradients now. This package includes portrait for HK-50 and HK-51 units. They aren't used in any existing mods I'm aware of; I just put them in because they made sense to have. You can remove them if you wish. The Atris portrait is unused in the vanilla game but may be used by playable Atris mods. I only included it because it existed in the vanilla assets. INSTALL / UNINSTALL To install, copy the files from the package Override/ folder to the Override/ folder for your KOTOR game installation. To uninstall, remove the TPC files for this package from your KOTOR game Override/ folder. ** Improved K1 dialog.tlk compiled by KnifeMaster, with huge contributions from Gimmick5000, Salk, Kainzorus Prime and DarthParametric ** This mod attempts to fix all known typos, subtitle mismatches, bad punctuation and other grammatical sloppiness found in the first KotOR game. I'd like to give a huge thanks to Gimmick5000 for discovering the overwhelming majority of these issues while working on his "eXtensive Dialog Overhaul" mod, and Fair Strides for his TLK>TXT tool. Gimmick's "eXtensive" project aims to replace a lot of player responses, though, while this one keeps those as is... sort of. Kainzorus Prime was kind enough to let me use his "PC Response Moderation" as the basis for this mod, which is a massive improvement over Bioware's player responses. Most of the issues are listed in Gimmick's thread, and a few more can be found here: https://github.com/KOTORCommunityPatches/K1_Community_Patch/issues/148 I'm sure there are still errors out there, but hundreds upon hundreds, if not thousands have been fixed. To install, simply replace the stock dialog.tlk file in your "swkotor" folder with this one. I highly recommend using this mod on a clean install of the game. And, of course, INSTALL THIS BEFORE any other mods that alter KotOR's dialog.tlk. It should be compatible with K1R, but you must install K1R afterwards. So, in summary: lots of typos and subtitle mismatches fixed, no more double, triple or quadruple (yes really) exclamation or question marks, dashes ( - ) used less liberally and a few awful run-on sentences have been reworked. COUNCIL ROBES BASIC RESKIN Description: This mod adds the council robes, a variant normally only worn by NPCs, and makes them available alongside the vanilla game robes in KotOR 1. The robes are added to 3 merchants in the game: the basic, lowest level variety is available at Crattis’ general store on Dantooine with 3 texture variants, although the variants for this robe all look pretty similar. They are also available with better stats as Knight robes at the Czerka Representative’s store on Korriban in Dreshdae, and as Master Robes at Mic’tunan’jus’ store on Tatooine in front of the Ebon Hawk. This mod should be compatible with other mods that modify these merchants, but this mod is not at all compatible with other mods that modify the base robe models OR add new textures. The idea behind this mod is to have the option to wear both council robes and base game robes at the same time, being compatible with base game items but not other similar mods. This mod will also not place the robes properly if you have been to Dantooine, Tatooine, or Korriban before installing the mod. Installation: Start the Council Robes Basic Reskin Installer executable. It should prompt you for the location of your KotOR 1 directory and move all the necessary files itself. With the exception of the merchant files, the installer will fully replace any files of the same name as the ones in the ‘tslpatchdata’ folder, so won’t be compatible with other mods modifying those files or using the same names, since they are not standard game resources. Uninstallation: To uninstall, remove all the files listed in the ‘tslpatchdata’ folder from the Override folder. 1 pointView File Manaan Merc Overhaul ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ MANAAN MERC OVERHAUL for Star WarsTM - Knights of the Old Republic by garm343 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Version: 1.0.0 completed 9/9/20 Description: This mod makes changes to the appearance of the various mercenaries the player will encounter while on Manaan. It adds armor to the mercenaries who appear unarmored in the vanilla version of the game and changes the armor visible on each merc to one that is appropriate for that merc’s culture. For example, the Mandalorian merc will now wear Mandalorian armor and the Echani mercs will wear Echani armor. This mod also changes the faces and hair of the Echani mercs so that they now look like Echani (white hair, silvery eyes, and pale complexions). The stun baton carried by the Twi’lek merc in the underwater base is replaced with a heavy blaster instead. This mod does not alter the Iridorian merc’s appearance as he is already wearing his armor. Installation: Double-click on the installer icon and when prompted direct it to your game folder (“swkotor”, in most cases). After selecting the folder, the mod will install automatically. Uninstallation: Delete the files in your Override folder that have the same names as the files found in the mod’s tslpatchdata folder. Replace the .2da files in the Override folder with the ones from the mod’s backup folder if you have previously-installed mods you want to keep that altered these .2da files. Compatibility: This mod is compatible with any other mod that does not share the same .utc, .tga, .mdl, and .mdx file names as those found in this mod’s tslpatchdata folder. If any such files are present in your Override folder, this mod will not install properly. 1 pointThere's two ambushes in the game which are on Kashyyyk and Tatooine, that being said though this mod doesn't technically alter the ambushes in any way. It modifies the appearances of the generic Dark Jedi NPCs. If you had my Restored Female Dark Jedi mod installed that means that the two male Dark Jedi will be Proper Sith Assassins but the female won't. Any place or mod with the generic Dark Jedi NPC will be affected, this could include the following: Leviathan, Star Forge, Manaan Sith Base, Darth Bandon encounters, Brotherhood of Shadow mod, Yavin 4 planet mod, Ord Mantell planet mod and more.
