====No Lightsaber Quest V1.5 by Hassat Hunter====

 

This modification will remove the Lightsaber Quest mission from the game. The PC will get his first lightsaber (a generic green one-handed) on Telos, and any drops afterwards will be lightsabers (random), not parts. The player never receives the Lightsaber quest.

This mod should work with all language versions of TSLRCM.

 

Changelist;

0.9-1.0

* Made the modified script actually work (darn typo's). Told you it was untested.

* Made sure the Bao-Dur Ebon Hawk cutscene about your lightsaber no longer runs

 

1.0-1.1

* Fixed getting a part and the quest in the following instances; Finding Vash, killing Lootra & Opening the hoard of Vogga. They should now properly donate lightsabers.

 

1.1-1.2

* Fixed getting the quest and a lightsaber part in the following instances; After killing Vrook & When killing a Cannok on Dxun.

* Fixed getting a part instead of a full lightsaber in the following instances; Both above & when killing Lootra.

 

1.2-1.3

* Fixed Kaevee encounter.

 

1.3-1.4

* TSLRCM 1.8 Update. Lightsaber scripts now use VarsityPuppet's random Lightsaber color drop function used in 1.8.

 

1.4-1.5

* Nobody mentioned lightsabers didn't drop anymore due to above update. Shows how popular this mod is :/.

Oh well, fixed. Lightsabers will drop again, as per 1.8's new lootscript.

 

==Install Instructions==

* Drop the files from "Override" in the override folder (backup "k_death_give_ls.ncs" and "a_give_quest_ls.ncs" if you're using TSLRCM 1.8!). Source folder is interesting only for other modders, ignore it if you're not.

 

==Uninstall==

* Remove the following 7 files (204habat.dlg, durosdock.dlg, a_give_quest_ls.ncs, a_give_quest_lsc.ncs, a_open_vash_cage.ncs and k_dth_give_ls_lo.ncs, k_dth_givels_rct.ncs) from your override folder. Replace "k_death_give_ls.ncs" and "a_give_quest_ls.ncs" with your backup from TSLRCM 1.8.

i dont like this mod because when you build your light saber you feel attached to it :)

Outstanding mod. The exile do not need the help of Bao Dor to find the pieces of the lightsaber. Good for the one that needs to play fast with the lightsaber. It is good for me. Thanks. :D

Yep, Bao-Dur shouldn't be messing with Jedi stuff, since when an experienced Jedi Knight needs help building a lightsaber?

It would be cool if at the time you would get the first part, you got all three parts and would have to have Kreia examine them (I am sure there is dialogue which could be spliced together, she only have to say 4 or 5 words) and then you could build a lightsaber, so you could have it instantly and you would still have to create it.

Actually you could add an extra option on the workbench so that if you have 3 parts you can build a lightsaber

when i kill the last lagirek near kaevee's room, my game crashes. i saw "fixed kaevee encounter" entry on changelog, relevant ?

what about, rather than deleting the quest, integrate this with TSLRCM:

in the same container where HK parts are you could put the lightsaber pieces, and update the quest accordingly.

Hi, HH!

 

Just a heads up. It seems that something is broken. When I download the file the archive comes with zero bytes and the following information:

 

'Cannot open file "No Lightsaber Quest V1.5.rar". It does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again'.

 

I've tried seven times and got the same file with 0 bytes.

Downloaded it. I never cared for the lightsaber quest.  Thanks for making this mod and keeping it updated :)

Hi Hassat, i found this mod of yours as well, great, i am happy about this mod. Is it compatible with v1.8.3b?

 

Anyway i am one of your new fans (I read what you said not many people loving or missing this mod because they did not notice the bug you mentioned), anyway i am new fan and keep it up.

I'm new here, and have a stupid question as I'm currently in the process of selcting mods for my playthrough of this game, so far I've got TSLRCM, and a few weapon replacements that should be compatible. My question however pertains to the install instructions..What does it mean to (backup "k_death_give_ls.ncs" and "a_give_quest_ls.ncs" ? Apparently it's neccesary for TSLRCM, but I'm just not sure how to go about it, I've already made a back up of my overide folder before any additional mods, and the others simply drop into the overide folder. How do I correctly backup those other files, is that all I need? or is it something to do with the backup folder I can see in the list?

For some reason, I can still tell Kreia that I want to build a lightsaber. Also, when I try to get Visas to train with me in lightsaber forms, Kreia will still tell me that I need to get her a lightsaber and get myself one. Me and Visas already have lightsabers, so what is the problem?
