About This File

This Version: April 2012
===================================
This saber mod now consists of 18 hilts - each in 10 colors, all of which are buildable on the workbench. The first set of 6 hilt styles are available to build as you are building your first saber with the vanilla saber quest. Then, once you've leveled up with an Advanced Class, there will be 12 more hilt style options. Some of these hilt models are leftovers from the HotOR Lightsaber mod, which fell upon hard times and was unable and unwilling to continue - but alas! A new lightsaber mod has risen from it's ashes, and most of the hilts were modeled based on TOR sabers.
The vanilla game dialogs about Bao-Dur helping you build your saber have been removed, since you build it yourself on the workbench using any default game crystal. As well, the vanilla game's Lightsaber Quest journal entries have been modified to go with this saber quest better.
Once you have built a new lightsaber, the crystal will change into the specific crystal for that lightsaber, so once you commit to a new lightsaber style, it's crystal is bound to that saber hilt. Also, the training sabers now do 1-10 damage, still with their +3/+4 energy field damages, to try and make them more worthwhile to use. Two new models have been included for the purple and yellow training sabers.
You must run the TSL Patcher to fully install (aside from the lightsabers, copying files to Override folder will *not* work).
Compatible with TSLRCM 1.7/1.8.
Compatible with everything that dosen't use the same lightsaber model numbers. *This excludes HotOR and USM from being compatible.
Compatible with Default Replacement MegaPack 4.1 or better.
Compatible with Workbench Crystal Attunement Mod.
Compatible with RandomSabers 6 Pack.
Credits: -Darth_Deadman, for finishing off the training sabers and making them powered items that turn on and off like a lightsaber. Thanks Deadman!

Thanks to Markus Ramikin, Varsity Puppet, Hassat Hunter for the Workbench Crystal Attunement mod.

Bugs: None that I know of, if you get one then report it and I will see what I can do.

Thank you, Kaidon Jorn! I'm the one who made the request on YouTube.

As I said on there, I've been a fan of your saber mods since I started modding Kotor 2 back in 2013. I'm looking forward to playing through with a classic resident of my Override folder once again!

I see the training sabers, but the option to create the lightsabers is not in my game. The lightsaber quest appears to be unchanged too. Latest TSLRCM (Steam workshop), used TSL patcher successfully on the regular override folder and the TSLRCM override folder.

Does it require a completely new game to function properly by chance? I'm thinking this might be why it's not working for me. Because initially, I pointed the TSL patcher to the regular override folder and not the TSLRCM override folder, but after about an hour into a fresh file remembered that I needed to do that and did.

EDIT: I was able to fix this by manually removing the completed vanilla build a lightsaber quest with KSE, and reloading a save right before I talked to Bao-dur. I noticed a problem though: the Sith Assassin prestige crystal incorrectly requires the Watchman class to use once it's put in a lightsaber.

I installed the mod and there were no errors. However, in the game, all the sabers are metallic without any of the skins on the hilts.

Can someone please help me fix it or point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

The Description says:
"The vanilla game dialogs about Bao-Dur helping you build your saber have been removed, since you build it yourself on the workbench using any default game crystal. As well, the vanilla game's Lightsaber Quest journal entries have been modified to go with this saber quest better."

My question is if this MOD is compatible (or could be) with the 'No Lightsaber Quest V1.5' by Hassat Hunter:

I want to try with this MOD but, frankly, I'd like skip the Light Saber Quest.

Not sure if it's this mod or not but the only 2 lightsaber related mods I have are this and jc's darksaber darksaber crashes the game on equip im sure its a simple fix but i dont remember jack from when i was messing about with modding this game a long time ago. Equips shouldn't overlap that uses slot 255 this doesn't touch that slot from what i've seen. Fixed it by enabling and disabling legacy mode not sure what I overwrote but it seemed to work.

Is this mod compatible with the SLM 2.0 you released or are those sabers already added by the mod?

Yes, it's metallic for me too. Now I have to reinstall the game with a different lightsaber mod. It's too late to uninstall TOR saber mod for me now.
