Mellowtron11 180 Posted October 25, 2017 I think it's because no dialogue exists for her to learn forms from. Unless you want to splice dialogue together or make her just do facial animations, it's pretty safe to assume that she won't be able to learn any forms from just talking. Couldn't something like this compensate for those lack of lines? Conversation example: Handmaiden: Yes? Exile: I want to show you some of the techniques I've learned from my travels. Skip straight to this following line: [Handmaiden has learned Aggression form]. Handmaiden: Thank you (Splice line from her "But thank you for your kindness" line after the Exile tells her to take the regular quarters and ignore Atton after leaving Telos.)

But like Squall said, somebody would have to be the one to splice such a line and program it in

But like Squall said, somebody would have to be the one to splice such a line and program it in I can work on the Handmaiden lines when I get home tomorrow morning, as that should be real easy. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else beats me to it though.

I chose a different line to get "I thank you" from. Handmaiden - Yes (questioning).mp3 Handmaiden - I thank you.mp3

Mellowtron11 180 Posted October 25, 2017 I chose a different line to get "I thank you" from. Holy cow, that was fast! Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, what happens next? Is there a script that needs to be made up to fit the conversation into the game?

Sith Holocron 2,478 Posted October 25, 2017 Well, either way, thank you for the splicing! Hey folks, I'm moving this whole request over to the Requests section. If Zbyl and Hassat Hunter want to include this, I can always move it back. Until then, it's just a thread hijack.

jc2 581 Posted December 14, 2017 I could give it a shot, i'd just add a black out screen (you know the fading to black screen shown in game cutscenes all the time) after the line let me teach you some techniques followed by the spliced lines given by SH. But this would be modding TSLRCM content right? Which would require me to acquire permission before I could work on the mod. It's been months since this was discussed. You are correct about having to mod the TSLRCM edited Handmaiden dialogue, though you do not need permission for this. You are making your mod compatible with the most essential TSL mod to date which is completely allowed.

jc2 581 Posted December 15, 2017 Did you have to do the same for your GenoHaradan mod? If you get permission, what does this entail? A bit of scripting and adding in spliced dialogue? Yes, small amount of dlg editing (this would be incompatible with Party Swap unless I got his permission to modify his files), a little scripting, and adding the spliced line. So a very easy/small mod.
N-DReW25 1,337 Posted December 15, 2017 Did you have to do the same for your GenoHaradan mod? Well, I first asked about permissions for my for my Benok Alternate Lines Restoration mod for compatibility. As making mods compatible with TSLRCM by using files from it is allowed I did not have to ask a second time for permission for Geno. Until I have confirmation from a moderator or one of the TSLRCM authors, I will refrain from action. I'd like to quote the Rules of Deadlystream.com under the Common Sense Clause, "Don't be stupid. I'm fine with people releasing modified TSLRCM files to ensure compatibility, so do whatever you want with them.
jc2 581 Posted December 16, 2017 This... has been harder/longer than I thought it would be. It turns out that I am still an amateur scripter. Is anyone willing to test this mod out? I should have a testable version finished soon.
